Amazing experience
We had a truly unique and unforgettable experience! During the safari we were lucky enough to see the Big Five along with many other animals in their natural habitat – an absolutely incredible feeling. Spending two nights camping made it even more special, allowing us to fully experience the magic of nature and immerse ourselves in the safari atmosphere. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to live something authentic and extraordinary!

100% trustworthy and reliable
We, a family of 2 parents and 3 adult children, thoroughly enjoyed our mid range 8 days safari tour in Taranguire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara, followed by 1 day spent on the foothills of Klimandjaro in Materuna. We saw all the big 5 more than once, as well as many other animals. We were also lucky enough to witness the amazing nature spectacle of thousands of zebras and wilderbeasts crossing the Mara river. Meru Slopes did a great job at planning (thank you very much Almachius for your professional communication and great responsiveness) and delivering this fantastic tour. Accommodations and food were all at least up to our (high) expectations. Our guide and driver Nuru was 10 on 10 : very knowledgeable and passionate about animals and biology in general, great driver always finding the best spots and angles for best observation opps and pics. And also a great person to spend 8 days with. Big thanks to Nuru from all the family. I sincerely recommend Meru Slopes to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

Serengeti and Ngorongoro Budget Safari
We chose to do the budget safari option for the Serengeti and crater and it was the best decision we have made. We had Jerome who set up everything for us and answered all questions we had before the trip which was amazing, such a kind human! We also had Daniel and Dulla as our guide and chef which they were hands down the best ever. We went into this not knowing what to expect much and a little nervous for camping in the middle of no where surrounded by lions but I would most definitely do it this way again as it is such a great experience and truly life changing seeing all the animals in their habitat. They made us feel safe and answered any questions we had. It is true that you hear lions in your campsite overnight which was to say the least a funny experience. We also saw a hippo the next morning as we were leaving early on our gamedrive. We saw every animal we could've dreamed of in the crater and Serengeti. Daniel was amazing with his knowledge about all animals and knew the Serengeti perfectly. It truly was the best trip we could've ever asked for and I will never forget it. Thank you for an amazing time again already trying to plan my next adventure with Meru Slopes!:)

Incredible and unforgettable experience:)
We didn’t know anything about Meru Slopes and from the start, communicating with Kelvin, was easy and all well explained. We loved how he manage to fit our desires in our safari trip:)
Lobulu, our Guide and driver, was an excellent communicator explaining about both animals and history of Tanzania. Was really close and share his great energy with us. Very professional also and problem solving:)
Bonge, our cooker, was really tender and caring. We loved his food and presentation, always caring if we had enough (and we always were full and happy:)
The hole experience was amazing, with Lobulu we could see a lot of animals in the best view, and we felt lucky but it’s also how he manage to comunicate and rely on his experience.
We would repeat for sure :)
Golden guide, unforgettable safari
Meru Slope made our Tanzania trip unforgettable. Our group of four women spent 13 days—10 days on safari and 3 days in Zanzibar—and every detail was handled with care.
From the first inquiry to the final drop-off, the team was professional, attentive, and flexible. They listened to our travel goals, created an itinerary that met all our wishes, and optimized routes to minimize travel time. As first-time visitors to Tanzania, we had many questions; the team answered each one patiently and knowledgeably, even before we booked. Their sincerity and warmth convinced us we’d made the right choice.
Airport pickups and drop-offs were seamless. The hotel we stayed at were very nice and well facilitated. Meals are well prepared, and we had either hot lunch or lunch box with good quality depending on our daily schedule.
Special thanks to our guide, Nuru—truly a golden guide. He reviewed the itinerary thoroughly before the safari began, which made us feel safe and confident. Nuru combined expert knowledge with a friendly sense of humor that kept the mood light and joyful. His experience and passion for wildlife are remarkable: he had an uncanny ability to spot animals from far away. He always adheres to the principle of "better to be unjust than to let go" that he would stop to confirm sightings with binoculars. He explained animal behavior, anticipated movement patterns, and positioned the vehicle to give us the best close-up views. He treated every question seriously—even a suspicion on animal speicies detail, he would take photos and verify later when he had internet access.
The entire Meru Slope team welcomed us with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to share Tanzania’s beauty. They created a relaxed, immersive experience rooted in the spirit of “hakuna matata.” Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, well-organized safari.

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Mero Slopes Tours
We had the most incredible 7-day safari in Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater with Mero Slopes Tours, and it truly exceeded all expectations. It was difficult to choose a tour company on safaribookings.com, but the reviews for this one exceeded all expectations and we were in good hands!
From the very beginning, Jerome Hotti helped us plan and curate the trip perfectly to our needs. He took care of everything, including halal-friendly meals, no alcohol, and fantastic accommodation choices. The communication, trust, and coordination from the company were absolutely top-class.
Every lodge we stayed in was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The tented lodges were a real highlight – waking up to elephants, buffalo, zebras, and warthogs just outside our camp was surreal, and hearing lions roaring in the distance at night made the experience unforgettable.
Our guide and driver, Max, made the trip extraordinary. With over 15 years of experience, he knew exactly where to go and had a real eye for spotting wildlife. Thanks to him we were able to see the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and even a rhino from a distance – still incredible!), the so-called “Ugly Five,” plus so much more: hippos, giraffes, cheetahs, a serval cat with her kitten, jackals, crocodiles, secretary birds, vultures, wildebeest, zebras, eagles, flamingos, hyenas and more. We even had the thrill of watching lions attempt a hunt! He always made sure we had the best possible view, often arriving at sightings ahead of other groups. It felt like he knew everyone on the road and worked seamlessly with other guides to ensure we didn’t miss a thing.
Beyond his skills, Max is kind, witty, and full of energy, which made the long drives between parks enjoyable and fun. He was always on time, flexible with how long we spent at each sighting, and we always felt safe in his hands. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would request him again without hesitation.
This trip has given us memories that will last a lifetime, and while we are sad it has ended, we know we’ll be booking again with Mero Slopes Tours when we plan our next adventure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Highly recommended without hesitation!

Amazing !
We had the best time 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to book a tour, we did a 3 days camping tour and the guide and the chef were both incredible, we didn’t think we could be eating very well since we were camping but Dula was so good at being creative with his meals and everything was so good! Daniel our guide was also very knowledgeable and answered all our questions we had and he was always in a good mood and helping others
