Relible operator with expirinced dreivers/gudies and greate guide Emmah
Safary proved to be a reliable operator with experienced and dedicated drivers and guides. The team was flexible and made sure we were able to see most of the animals we were hoping for, even adjusting plans according to the weather. Our guide, Emmah, was outstanding—open, communicative, friendly, very responsive, and speaking excellent English. The whole team remained calm and professional during unexpected vehicle issues, handling repairs efficiently and still managing to get us to the airport in time for our flights. Their commitment to customer care was evident throughout the trip. The only area for improvement would be to take a more proactive approach to vehicle maintenance to avoid such delays in the future.

Great service and guides
Very pleased having used these guys for our trip up Mt Kenya (Lenana). There were 4 of us and Daniel the head guide, Moses his assistant and the porters and cooks looked after us very well.
Everything was included from pick up to drop off back in Nairobi. Guides knowelegable and flexible, food good and we had an incredible experience.

Highly organised operator with fantastic guides!
I completed the 5 day Mount Kenya trek. My guide Alex was very experienced, knew the mountain well and was caring and friendly. I felt well looked after by him and his team. The food provided was amazing and the service was first class. Alex taught me lots of facts of the way and shared his knowledge and passion. He kept me safe, always prioritising my health and wellbeing. He went above and beyond, taking me to see extra sights such as lovely waterfalls. I couldn't have asked for more from him and his team. Emmah in the office was also incredible, always replying quickly and making me feel at ease for the trip. She organised everything and the transfers to and from the hotel were smooth. She even accomodated my late arrival due to my flight cancellation. I'd recommend Hyrax safaris for anyone looking to do Mount Kenya!

The tour operator was very available and responsive to our requests.
We booked a safari with Hyrax Safari starting in Nairobi, then visiting Amboseli and Taita Hills, and ending in Mombasa. We were able to personalize our trip exactly as we wanted because they were very flexible. We had a wonderful guide, Peter, who was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and patient with us. It was truly a five-star experience, and we highly recommend booking with them to anyone who wants to go on a safari.

Great trip with Hyrax Safari
My climb of Mount Kenya with Hyrax Safaris went very well.
Communication before the trip was smooth and everything worked as agreed. Our guide Kelvn managed the schedule carefully and made sure we acclimatized properly. We reached Point Lenana at sunrise as planned.
The arrangements, food, and logistics worked throughout the trek. I felt safe and well supported, and the trip matched what was promised. I would recommend Hyrax Safaris for a Mount Kenya climb.

Our Kenyan safari was absolutely amazing thanks to Hyrax Safaris!
My husband and I enjoyed our first-ever African safari recently and had an incredible time. Hyrax Safaris planned such a perfect itinerary and we were able to see a variety of interesting places throughout Kenya. Our tour guide Sammy was fantastic, and on the game drives he expertly explained a lot about the various animals we were seeing. We loved seeing elephants crossing a river, a pride of lions resting in the shade, very rare white and black rhinos walking across a field, hippos floating in a river, giraffes grazing in tall trees, zebras crossing our path and much, much more! We not only saw animals from the safari vehicle, we also took a boat ride, biked and hiked at Hell’s Gate national park and saw where both “Out of Africa” and parts of the “Lion King” were filmed. The tour included opportunities for shopping from local craftspeople and we really enjoyed getting unique souvenirs to take home. Since the items do not have prices, we learned that the locals expected us to negotiate which was difficult at first because we were not used to shopping this way in the US. However, by the end of our stay we were more comfortable with the process.
The amount of things we saw and did was just incredible and we were so impressed with both our guide Sammy and Hyrax Safaris for planning such an enriching tour. We hope to return someday and if we do, we will definitely call Hyrax Safaris to plan our next adventure!

Amazing trip!
Perfect safari tour in Masai Mara. Stay was at Sarova Camp which was the perfect resting location in between game drives. Our driver Ben was a fantastic guide - he was incredibly knowledgeable about both animals and the local fauna. We spotted the Big 5 over 2 days, plus a few extras including cheetahs, birds, and many types of antelope. Booking with Hyrax was convenient, efficient, and easy. Irene from their team was incredibly communicative. Would not hesitate to recommend Hyrax for a future safari traveler.
