Amazing Safari with Meru Slopes
With great accommodation and delicious food, we had 8 days amazing Safari with guide Andrew. We watched lions, leopards, cheetahs, etc. Ballon and Crossing were also breathtaking. Never forget it!

From start to end everything was awesome!
Unforgettable Safari in Tanzania
We had the chance to go on a 4-day, 3-night safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater, and it was simply amazing. Two nights in a tent out in nature gave the adventure an authentic and exciting touch, and every single game drive was filled with new discoveries. Thanks to our guide’s detailed explanations, we learned so much about the animals and landscapes while spotting the Big Five and many more species. The provided equipment—both the safari car and camping gear—was excellent and made us feel safe and comfortable at all times. This trip exceeded all expectations and is one we can recommend without hesitation.
Our Driver Paul
A special mention goes to our driver Paul, who truly made this safari extraordinary. He is extremely passionate and experienced, and it was fascinating to see how he managed to spot animals while driving—often long before anyone else did. Thanks to his skill and careful driving, we never had any issues with the car, even in challenging terrain where we saw many other vehicles get stuck. Paul speaks excellent English, and we really enjoyed our conversations with him—not only about African wildlife and culture but also about everyday life and personal topics. He is an open-minded, kind, and very responsible person. If you have the chance, definitely ask for Paul as your driver—you won’t regret it. He made our safari truly unforgettable.
Our Chef Ponge (Elia)
We were also lucky to have Ponge as our chef during the safari. He prepared absolutely delicious meals, which were a highlight in themselves after long days out in the bush. On top of his cooking skills, Ponge is a warm-hearted, funny person, and we loved our talks with him. His positive energy added so much to the trip. We sincerely hope every traveler gets the chance to taste Ponge’s cooking—it’s something you won’t forget!

Meru Slopes and Samwil is the best!
We had a private 11-day trip across Tanzania from 8/28-9/7 and we had a wonderdul time!
Our driver/guide Samwil is the best! He accommodates all our needs without hasitation, when we want to do something that is out of the norm, he is always ready and happy to do. Samwil is also an experiencd driver/guide, his past auto-repair mechanical job experience is a tremendous plus as he takes care of our jeep daily and drives with caution, as we are on the vast remote dirt roads daily with long hours, safety and jeep reliability is the number one priority and one can always count on Samwil for that. I am very happy with the services that Samwil provided and feel very fortunte that Samwil is assigned to us.
Overall the Meru Slope company is great! Reasonably priced with great services, the food, the accommdations, the game drives are all first class, AND we see all we come to see plus more. Definitely exceeded my expectations!
As a result, I highly recommend the Meru Slopes company for Africa and Tanzania trips, especially Samwil as the driver/guide. From my personal experience, I can assure that one will be very happy at the end of the trip with this choice.

The tour was exceptionally well organized.
I booked this tour with my wife in August 2025, and we were satisfied.
The organizers were always available and flexible for us. We had a flight problem on the first day of arrival in Arusha, but they still waited for us in the evening.
The safari itself was magnificent and well led by our guide Daniel, who saw everything before everyone else, which was very useful so we didn't miss any of the action. Buga's dishes were also delicious.
On the last night of our arrival, we were offered a night in a hotel because our return flight was scheduled for the next day. Many thanks to Almachius and Meru Slopes for this wonderful experience.

Wonderful organization
Our guide helped me carry my backpack and book a perfect cabin. The chef's meticulously prepared soups surpassed those of many hotels. Simon, our porter, was fantastic, preparing daily foot baths and afternoon tea. Another porter quietly completed all the tasks. The three-day hike was incredibly smooth and enjoyable! Thank you!

An absolute must-do for any wildlife enthusiast!
Our Tanzania safari was absolutely incredible! We were amazed by the sheer abundance of wildlife we encountered every single day—from vast herds of wildebeest and zebra to elephants bathing at a waterhole and even a rare leopard sighting in a tree. The journey was made truly enjoyable by our wonderful guide, Joel. His expert tracking skills, profound knowledge of animal behavior, and great sense of humor ensured we had an unforgettable and pleasantly exciting adventure.
Our tour guide Samwil is very knowledgeable and diligent person with good service.
Good service without breaking your bank! Our guide Samwil is a very kind man. He kept the jeep very clean. And made sure the jeep was always in a good condition.

Professional and attentive; wonderful guide
Last week, I went on safari with Meru Slopes and it was the best traveling experience I have ever had!
To begin, in choosing the company, I compared various companies. I compared the number of days of safari, services, and accommodations, and Meru Slopes stood out the most because of its fair pricing. For instance, while other companies may have been slightly cheaper, there were additional costs that made the cost higher in the end, or, in contrast, there were companies that offered the same exact same services at a higher price.
Once I settled on Meru Slopes, I was in constant communication with Jerome, who was very attentive, informative, and quick to respond. His email communications made me feel at ease that I was dealing with a professional company, and gave me reassurance that I had chosen the right company. Jerome was so helpful that he even answered some questions regarding flights to Zanzibar, which was a separate matter from their services. I thought that was very kind of him to answer questions that were outside the scope of their services.
Then, when we (my mother and I (f)) finally arrived in Tanzania, airport pickup was smooth and easy and we were taken to our lovely accommodation for the night before heading out to safari the following morning. The next morning we met the face of Meru Slopes, Jerome, and our guide, Julius, aka Little Lion.
I have to say that I believe that we had the most wonderful experience on safari in Tanzania because of Julius. Since we met him, Julius was cheerful, energetic, and full of information to share. He was so attentive and kind to us, that it felt like we had met up with family or a longtime friend. On safari, he did the best he could to help us see the Big 5. Thankfully, we were blessed and did get to see them all, even Rhinos in Ngorongoro! Julius definitely made the trip an experience of a lifetime and we hope to see him again in the future!
Overall, safari with Meru Slopes was amazing! I can’t wait to recommend them to my family and friends for their next safari adventure. All the parks we visited, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, were wonderful and we saw plenty of wildlife, zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, antelope and the like, as well as plenty of elephants. Often time, we had very close encounters with these animals, even hyenas, which made the game drives so exhilarating.
So, if you’re read this far, don’t think about it any further and book with Meru Slopes! I am confident you will have a wonderful time with them. As someone who saw other tour companies operate while there, trust me, Meru Slopes is a safe and reliable company to work with.

5/5 experience!
Absolutely perfect!
My boyfriend and I had the amazing opportunity to do a safari with Meru Slopes, guided by Geoffery. Everything was beyond our expectations: very professional, always on time, attentive to every detail, and ready to accommodate all our requests. Booking was super easy thanks to Kelvin’s efficiency, and a special thanks goes to our chef for the delicious food! Thanks to Geoffery’s expertise, we were able to spot so many animals and enjoy an unforgettable experience. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, I highly recommend booking with Meru Slopes!

Profis, organised, friendly and polite
We did the 6 day camping migration safari. We were thrilled. Everything was as explained before from our meruslopes contact Shadrack (live communication with what's up before the trip and he always answered everything immediately) and the experience was breath taking.
It involves really long drive hours and lots of dust but our driver and guide Juma made it really pleasant and adventurous. Because of his experience and abilities we were able to see everything and enjoy the incredible landscape.
Buga our chef was preparing all the meals every day and the food was amazing tasty (I have to give special credits for the soups) .
We only need to thank meruslopes.
