Great safari was an experience of a lifetime
All three locations for the Safari offered something different. Masai Mara was huge and we saw many lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs and a leopard as well as other game. Nakuru offered Rhino's, flamingos and another leopard. Ambolessi offered vast plains filled with elephants. The hotels on the tour were mainly good and as expected although the hotel in Nakuru looked much better in photos, we also had to move rooms due to no hot water. Masai marra and Ambolessi were both very clean.
Our guide Leroy was very knowledgeable he gave insight to all of the animals and had many facts to share. He also knew a great deal of the masai people, which was very interesting to learn about.
We had on issue where at one point the van was quite cramped due to 8 people in the van but after speaking with Leroy he sorted the problem out at the next stop and swapped 2 people out of the van. It was very comfortbale with 6 in the van. Although Nakuru was very long Leroy persisted and we arrived safely.

Easy, stress free
The tour was stress free, the tour guide Jimmy got us so close to the animals and the lion was right outside the window, he made sure we found all the animals we were looking to see.
Just to note - there was an extra fee for cycling at hells gate, but my itinerary didnt mention this and it sounded like it was included in my trip.

The tour operator is reliable and trustworthy, providing an excellent and immersive safari experienc
Our recent 7-day safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli National Parks was an unforgettable adventure, significantly enhanced by our guide, Sadam. Each park offered its own unique experiences, from exhilarating wildlife sightings to breathtaking landscapes. We enjoyed numerous opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, antelopes, and a diverse array of birds. Witnessing nature in all its glory and experiencing the harmonious balance of the ecosystem was truly awe-inspiring. The camping and lodging were also unique and met acceptable standards, adding an exciting dimension to our trip.
Sadam’s expertise and attentiveness were invaluable. His remarkable skill in spotting wildlife and providing insightful information made each game drive both engaging and educational. Beyond his extensive wildlife knowledge, Sadam also shared fascinating cultural insights, enriching our understanding of Kenya. He was always eager to help us find the best spots for photos and maximize our chances of witnessing dynamic wildlife action. A standout moment was witnessing a rare and thrilling scene where two lions expertly coordinated a hunt for wildebeest and gazelles.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. We encountered some delays, particularly at Lake Nakuru, due to payment issues and minor logistical hiccups. Additionally, the itinerary provided by the tour company was somewhat vague regarding timings. A more detailed schedule outlining the duration of game drives, transportation between locations, and other key details would enhance communication and set clearer expectations.
Despite these minor issues, we highly recommend this safari to anyone seeking an immersive wildlife experience in Kenya. The pricing was very reasonable, and the tour company proved to be reliable and trustworthy. We are grateful for this opportunity and thankful to the tour operators for their excellent service.

Great Tour with Francis
We had an amazing 7-day tour with Francis through Jockey Tours. We saw so many incredible animals. Francis was very communicative and always listening on the radio for when other guides spotted any of the big 5 or the big cats. He was very friendly and invited us to hang out with him on several occasions. He put his absolute best effort into guiding us and we hope to travel with him again in the future!
Fantastic week with an even better guide, Francis!
We booked the 7 day safari which included 2 nights Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, 2 nights Amboseli. It was a great balance of safari days and city days in between. We got so lucky with making friends on the tour including our amazing guide Francis. I will talk more about him below.
Our 2 days in Maasai Mara were incredible. We saw cheetahs, lions, and leopards all up very very close. Elephants that walked right by us. Hippos and crocodiles. A baby animal for everything too. The camp decent but maybe not as comfortable as some would like. Not a big deal for the first nights since you're excited. I think you can ask to upgrade though if you wanted. We did a quick village tour for $10 which was a bit over an hour. It was interesting and fun so I'd say worth it to see how the people there live. They do try to sell you some things at the end and they aren't cheap really but I thought of it as a donation so I bought a club as a souvenir. There were a few things we could do that cost extra over the tour but they were pretty worth it. It might be good to check ahead though to see what is paid and what is extra so you can budget it in.
Nakuru park was a surprisingly great stop too where we got another leopard and lots of rhinos. I think we got a bit lucky but with how they radio each other between the cars it seemed like a great system to find animals that other drivers spotted. We had our evening open so we visited a local school and it was so eye opening of an experience. They need a lot of help here in many places but what some of the leaders are doing for their community is amazing. If you want to check that out look up Soar Kenya on Facebook and look for James Yegon. They can pick you up to show you around if you would like to see things and donate some money to help.
Hells Gate and Amboseli were both very great too and it was nice to change the landscape and see different parts of Kenya. We did a boat ride at Naivasha which was worth it. Lots of hippos! They had ah optional walk for $50 too on the island which was cool but would have been better on the island it was just flooded at the time. Hells Gate bike ride was worth doing I think but a bit tough of a bike in terms of heat and terrain. Just a couple hours total though. Amboseli didn't have the range of animals as Maasai but the elephants were incredible. They were everywhere and had so many babies too. The view of Kilimanjaro was so cool too.
There were some changes to itinerary because of a mix up but we decided to take the changes so that we could stay with Francis. He super personable and knowledgeable, 16 years experience, and we couldn't ask him something he didn't know. We would often say trust in Francis if we parked or went somewhere and it would always pay off with great views and animals. If Francis started ripping down the road we knew something good was coming up! He was flexible with us when we needed (ex. dropped us off at the Tanzania border at the end) and also great to recommend places to go out at night when we were in the city. Your tour guide can make or break your trip and this one made it so much better! Overall this was a great way to see a lot of Kenya in a short time for a fair price. Be okay with plans changing a bit and rolling with the punches and you will have a fantastic experience!

We had an epic week observing so many animals!
We had such a wonderful week seeing so much variety. We saw all the big 5 plus so many other animals including young animals! I was happy to get to see some animals up close! Great communication from our driver Francis and we learned a ton from him! For a budget tour, my expectations were blown out of the water! Schedule was very punctual and that was appreciated. Our guide was very accommodating to our requests, for example a different drop off after the tour. Thank you Francis and jocky tour for everything!

We had a great time in Amboselli and Masai Mara thanks to Jocky tours, especially our guide Joshua!
Our tour guide Joshua was brilliant, he was so knowledgable about the animals and the park. We saw the big five and even got to see the Mara river crossing! It was a brilliant experience and great value for money. If you’re booking with jocky tours ask for Joshua!

Amazing 6-day budget safari with Stanley
We did the 6-Day budget safari to Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli and had the most wonderful time. The parks themselves are beautiful, with each their own special attractions. The journey from one park to the other is quite long, but 100% worth it. The accommodations are up to standard. When you book a budget trip: don’t expect extreme luxury, as that is not what you pay for. However, all accommodations are comfortable, which is all you want after a long day of safari.
Our biggest thanks to our guide Stanley, without him, this trip would not have been half as good. He was able to show us everything (including the Big Five!) we could imagine and more and was able to predict where and when animals would be and provide us with the best photo opportunities. On top of that, Stanley himself is just a really kind person who'll do everything to make your trip as amazing as possible. I can't praise him enough! Do yourself a favour and ask for Stanley as your guide!
