.... My brother and I did a 7-day gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with Home To Africa Tours and Travel. Overall, we were lucky that the day we went for gorilla trekking it never rained yet it had heavily poured the day before. We appreciate Home to africa tours and travel staff for their wide experience .
We promise to come back soon

Fantastic time in Uganda with Home To Africa Tours and travel.
5/5

In June, I , my wife and my 4 children planned to make a trip to Africa, we urgued on which country to go to. My elder son suggested Uganda . We contacted several companies regarding our trip to Uganda but we selected Home To Africa Tours and Travel company because of the way were packages were setup, had a unique approach to packaging of tours and their budget was affordable.
My family and I have just returned from a two week trip round southwestern Uganda (Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake Mburo). Our driver/guide, Paul, was a fount of knowledge, a superb driver and a real pleasure to be with for the whole of the trip. We have come back keen to visit other parts of Uganda in the future and would definitely go to Home To Africa Tours and Travel Again . We already miss Uganda. we will surely send more of our friends to Home To Africa Tours and Travel.

Our first experience in Uganda
5/5

Its still like a dream , I cant believe all that I saw in a wonderful small country Uganda.
Home To Africa Tours and Travel took amazing care of us throughout our three day excursion. They were also incredibly helpful in getting the safari set up and having all bookings taken care of for us in advance. I searched on google for almost most tour companies in uganda, we selected Home to Africa Tours and travel because their budget was affordable and they were so fast and quick at responding to your emails and all the questions. Elephants, giraffe, deer, antelope, warthogs, hippopotamus, crocodiles, hyena, lion, beautiful birds, and a leopard. It was incredible! The boat ride up the nile to Murchison Falls is a must do and a perfect way to end the tour. I Did not have any Idea on how beautiful Uganda is . wow, I highly recommend Home to Africa Tours and travel for anyone who is interested in adventuring Uganda to its fullest .

As good as it gets!
5/5

Communication was excellent from the first to the last email. Our guide Gunn is a super driver and a good spotter of animals. We had no problems whatsoever during our tour of 12 days. Nice lodges and wonderful places we visited. We would definitely book through this tour operator again.

Increadible insights into the pearl of africa
5/5

We, a group of 6 friends, did a 3.5 week tour with Home to Africa through Uganda and Kenya with a major focus on Uganda. In Kenya we only spent 2 days in the Buffalo Springs NP and the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We choose Home to Africa based on its positive reviews and the good price performance ratio.

In a nutshell, the trip was an unforgettable experience, both in terms of wildlife experience as well as in getting insights about the incredibly rich and welcoming cultures of the two countries.

Having done already safaris in Tanzania and Botswana earlier, our focus in Uganda were the primates. But as we went through the different parcs, we quickly understood the Uganda has far more to offer than just Gorillas and Chimpanzees. We were actually discovering as many animals there as we did in Tanzania or Botswana. The two parcs in Kenya proved to be good choices to avoid the crowds in Masai Mara.

Not knowing anything about Uganda, we went there open minded and we were startled by the varity and richness of this country. It offers anything from mountain rain forests to plane savannas in the rift valley, lakes and hilly regions with honest, heartfelt and respectful people. We felt save at any point in time.

I would definitely choose Home to Africa again as a tour operator if I choose to go back into one of the two countries and I would like to thank Derrick and Jeremy for guiding us through this tour. Not only did they have a deep understanding of the wildlife but they also provided us with a lot of information about their countries and their cultures (something I was missing on the other safaris).

I really appreciated the way Home to Africa included the local villages into their tours by offering them the opportunity to act as local guides. This gave the trip a unique touch and left us with the feeling that we did something good for people living next to parc.

Thank you again to Derrick, Jeremy and the entire Home to Africa team!

Karim, thank you for your professionalism, care, willingness and for all the interesting information about Uganda that we learned from you. You are the best!

Highly Recommended for a Great Ugandan Safari & Ape Trekking Experience
5/5

We had an amazing trip with Home to Africa Safaris. All questions and communications were prompt and clear, and all lodges used were highly reputable. We particularly enjoyed Haven Lodge in Buhoma, as well as Chimpanzee Guest House, Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort and Rwakobo Rock.

The Company went to great lengths to ensure a smooth trip during COVID times. Home to Africa was also able to build the required COVID test for departure (as of Feb. 2021) into our already existing itinerary. They worked to find a reputable testing lab close to our itinerary, and arranged so that the test could be taken in transit between two different lodges. This only caused a very minor deviation (2 hours transit/testing time) to our tour to accommodate the test - I was very impressed! All went smoothly and COVID testing results were provided within 24 hours of testing. All other COVID protocols were followed and I would not hesitate to take the trip again, even during the ongoing pandemic.

Of the three safaris taken in multiple countries, our guide, Karim, was the best I’ve experienced. Karim has a keen eye on spotting birds and game I would have never had seen, and also has a vast knowledge on these species which he uses to educate you during your trip. Karim’s knowledge on Ugandan wildlife far exceeded my expectations and he possesses an extensive expertise far greater than most guides. While we were not on a bird safari, Karim’s great proficiency of Ugandan fowl turned out to be an unexpected gem of the trip. He is very articulate and organized - we felt we were in very good hands with Karim! Dinners with Karim were also particularly enjoyable and we learned a great deal about Ugandan culture through our conversations. I would highly recommend requesting him for your trip.

Everything I expect from a Safari Tour
5/5

We did a five day tour through Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and to Lake Buyonyi with Home to Africa Tours and Travel. The whole trip was everything and more we had expected! The guide was fun and had a thorough knowledge about Uganda, the national parks, history, and wildlife. He had more than 10 years experience as a guide and that was good for us. The lodges we stayed in where amazing! Great food, amazing locations and very comfortable. The tour included several game drives (elephants, buffalows, pumbas, hippos, and even lions!), a boat tour, hike to the gorillas (our main reason for doing the whole tour) and a relaxing evening on late Buyonyi. It was our first time in Uganda and the first time on safari and we got everything we could have hoped for. That the car broke down in at one point was just a minor set back and part of the whole experience. Our guide reacted quickly and we got an alternative car.

The prize we paid and the service we received were in a great balance. We can't imagine how paying more could give more! Our guide gave us so many recommendations for other tours he usually does that we are convinced that we will come again.

Excellent 8 day Uganda Safari
5/5

This tour really surpasses our expectations of Uganda. This country is definitely the pearl of Africa.

Organization:
From the first contact to the drop-off at the airport, every detail was well organized by Elias, the owner of Home To Africa and Karim, our guide. We had a very nice call with Carina, the German Customer relations manager of Home To Africa. All of them did a great job and made our trip truly amazing.

Uganda:
This country is very friendly and safe in our opinion. People were very helpful and grateful, that people come to visit their country. Children waving on the streets. No one tries to scam tourists. We fell in love with Uganda and its natural beauty.

Tour:
Hot savannah in the north. Cold mountain forests in the south. The tour covers almost the whole diversity of Uganda. Our highlights were the gorillas of the mist in Bwindi, the chimpanzees of Kibale and Murchison Falls national park wildlife.

Food and Drinks:
We enjoyed a full board service during our trip – breakfast and dinner in the lodges and lunch as a picnic in the national parks.

Lodges:
We had different standards ranging from comfort to luxury – but all were amazing in their own way. Some convinced with their food, some with exceptional service, others with breathtaking locations. We would return to every single one.

Guide:
Karim was like a father to us. He made us feel comfortably during the whole tour and made us familiar with Uganda´s culture, food, landscapes and wildlife. Karim was the reason, why we fell in love with this country so much. At the end of our trip we, felt like a little family.

Conclusion:
This tour is highly recommendable and perfect to get to know the Pearl of Africa. Home To Africa is an amazing tour operator and showed us, that Uganda has a lot more to offer than only its gorillas.
