Thanks for making our dream come true!
Many thanks for this wonderful trip. Everything was perfectly organized. Communication beforehand was always immediate and precise. Mid-range accomodations on tour were chosen very well. The tented camp experiences were extraordinary.
And, this service was more than topped by our friendly, warmhearted, knowledgable, gentle and funny guide Ossi. Asante sana. He was always on the right spot at the right time. We finally completed our Big Five and had so many more extraordinary animal observations! It was a pleasure to spend those 6 days with Ossi and learn not only a lot about Tanzania's wonderful nature (ina pendesa) or about the thousands of various animals (ina pendesa tena) but also some Swahili (kila kitu poa?). It couldn't have been a better match. And by the way, Ossi is an excellent driver - which is very relevant on these "massage roads" :-)
These 6 days were definitely an experience which will stay in our memory forever. And when we come back to Tanzania, we will for sure book again with kind (!) Lion King Adventures AND with Ossi. We can also recommend to anyone to book through Lion King.

Incredible experience in Tanzania
Thank you for perfect organized safari in Tarangere-Ngorongoro-Lake Manyara. All 4-days trip was exciting, well-planned and comfortable. Our 8yo daughter is delighted with lions, leopard, amounts of elephants, pumbas and other animals from opened air zoo.

Amazing tour, great service and an exceptional guide
We explored several tour operators before we picked Lion King. It is hard to understand what goes into the cost of a safari from overseas while comparing itineraries and cost. Lion king did a phenomenal job of keeping us informed, tailoring the trip to our requirements and providing excellent stay wherever we went. Saleh our guide was amazing, I cannot talk enough about how exceptional he was. There was a day in our tour when it had rained heavily with mud everywhere and the car may have had a battery issue. He made sure it did not deter any of our plans and our day still went as planned. The food and stay were amazing as well. We stayed at a place in Ndutu where we heard lions roar at night and zebras outside our campsite. We were very safe with security to and from our campsite. The tented camp in Ndutu specifically had amazing food. We traveled with a 3 year old who needed more stops and more flexibility. Saleh was amazing with our kid and with all the changes. Thank you Saleh, Anna and Wilbard for making this trip amazing.
We see that every tour company has glowing reviews. Our experience is only with Lion king so it is hard to say what sets them apart. I highly recommend comparing quotes and stays from different operators and going by them (this is what we did). I also recommend going with a Tanzanian company, I think the experience was more authentic.

Lives up to lofty expectations.
The prospecting of booking a safari is seriously daunting. Who can you trust to spend a large sum of money with, and for something that you probably have incredibly high expectations? You're probably opening this page in a tab with 10 others.
Well, you can stop now. Lion King turned out to be just the right choice for us. Zero regrets or untended-to desires. I'll let you in on a little secret - the Serengeti and the gorge are the same for everyone, the food is the same, the jeeps are the same, the animals are the same, and the lodges/camps/tents are the same.
So what's different? The people you interact with. From beginning to end, first with James and coordinating, then our great safari guide Saleh (highly recommended as he knew all the animals, spotted them like an eagle, didn't rush us, was super nice, and gave us exactly the type of safari we wanted), to our great driver David, it was awesome. We also had the pleasure of taking a coffee tour near Arusha, and our guide there Clemency was amazingly kind as well. Ask them about this!
Basically, Lion King held my hands through the entire process, from planning/scheduling all the way to exiting Tanzania. Regarding a safari, I found that's what I valued the most. It made my experience worry and anxiety free, letting me focus on having a good time.

Outstanding! Best holiday ever.
- Guide: Excellent. Peter was an awesome guy. He did his best to show us all animals in few days. Always smiling, friendly...we can not expect better.
- Accommodations: Edorodo Lodge, Bush Camp are outstanding place. Iburobo, and Rhino Lodge bit less.
- Communications: Before the safari, all went well, once we are there, no call, no messages...from Lions King Adventures staff during safari. This is the only weak point.

Amazing experience of the Serengeti
We had a great time in the Serengeti thanks to Lion King Adventures and particularly, our guide Saleh. He was extremely knowledgeable and ensured we spotted the Big 5 and many more animals. He kept talking to us and giving us insights into the way of the Massai people living there and about the animals. Six days in the central Serengeti, Ndutu, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Manyara just flew by and we were kept highly engaged throughout.

Excellent customisable family friendly staff and company
We are a Malaysian Muslim family travelled to Tanzania in Dec 2018 (me, wife and 3 kids, 14yrs, 11yrs and 7yrs old). Once in a lifetime experience should be managed by a reliable and trustworthy company. The priority should be to match what the tourist wants and with good advice from local guides. We are very happy from the very first email lion king replied to us. The email negotiation about plans and price was very reassuring as it clearly shows that they are very meticulous in providing us the best suggestions and quotes. Our whole journey was highly customisable according to our needs and it extended beyond the safari trip. We ended up letting lion king adventures managed our entire Tanzania trip! We only managed our own flight tickets... We are very fortunate that our safari trip was smooth and, weather was good.
