Great safari experience
Based on the excellent customer feedback we chose Lion King. The entire process from the booking until the end of the safari was very smooth. Everything was very well organized and planned ahead.
Florida did a wonderful job in accommodating our wishes and keeping things organized before safari. She also went above and beyond to get our lost luggage from the airport to one of our lodges we stayed during Safari.
Already on the first day in Tarangire we saw young lions hunting for a warthog (that got away), hyenas harassing elephants, and many giraffes. Stayed at Eileen’s Trees Inn which was clean and friendly.
The second day driving to Serengeti was excellent, the scenery of the mountains, crater views, Maasai villages, and then open plains teeming with animals devoid of human signs. Thanks to our guide Shabani’s expertise and connections, saw a couple of cheetahs and a leopard right up close, and the amazing gnu and zebra herds of the great migration, with a few hippos before lodging at Nyota Luxury Camp. Nyota was beautiful, friendly, clean, and the food was the best.
The second Serengeti day was our highlight, with an early morning balloon ride followed by a game drive where we saw a large pride of lions work together to hunt and catch a warthog which the cubs then got to eat! The fourth day at Ngorongoro crater included lions, buffalos, rhinos, and numerous new bird acquaintances. The last day was at Lake Manyara (TBA).
We were happy with the 5-day duration, as sitting on bumpy roads takes its toll - our two teens would have preferred shorter but such is the attention span of the young these days. The chemistry with our guide was excellent all along, his expertise provided us experiences other parties would have missed, and we can warmly recommend Shabani to anyone!

Amazing!!!!
An absolutely unforgettable experience!! The Serengeti, the crater, the hotels with the views, the animals, all simply fabulous!!
Beginning from our first day since we landed, till the end, everything was perfectly planned and taken care of. We didn’t have to worry about any logistics and could enjoy every day to the heart’s content! Thank you Lion king!
Our guide Gama was superb! made it all possible for us to see so many lions and cats and million other animals! He was amazing and took great care of us!

A honeymoon which was a real
Dream come true! We had an incredible unforgettable time and lion king was great throughout the process including providing information pre booking and ease of payment/booking etc. the real star of the show was our guide gamma! We saw more animals than we could have ever imagined and were actually sick of seeing animals by the end. He knew exactly where to go at what time and gave us the perfect nuggets of info at the right times while keeping us fully engaged. He was funny knowledgeable and our trip would not have been nearly as good without him. I will be 100% recommending lion king and specifically gamma to friends and hope to go on another tour with him very soon!

Memories made for a lifetime
We were picked up at the airport on time and the driver was very friendly. The accommodations were also super cute and we really loved staying there. Our guide Leonard was amazing, he cared very well for us and listened to our questions and wishes. He told us many interesting things, we saw so many animals and he was super flexible when one of us got a cough and we asked to start the safari later. He even drove to a pharmacy with us. And we made it to our flight on time. So long story short - we loved our adventure with Lion King Adventures.

Could not recommend more!
We had an amazing experience on our 9 Day Luxury Safari with Lion King Adventures in November 2024. We saw every animal we hoped to see across the four distinctly unique parks we visited - Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro - including jaguars and rhinos. Our accommodations (Gran Melia Hotel, Maramboi Tented Lodge, Escarpment Luxury Lodge, Nyota Luxury Camp) were beautiful, spacious, and modernly outfitted, and the service was top-notch. The weather cooperated wonderfully with sunny 70/80 F days. Our private jeep was perfect for four people, comfortable, always clean, and stocked with infinite water and soft drinks. And, of course, we had a fantastic guide through it all - Salehe. Salehe was kind, good-natured, respectful, patient, and deeply knowledgeable of the animals, parks, and routes. He also had a good sense of humor, which we very much appreciated! Thank you again Salehe and Lion King Adventures!

It was my first time visiting tanzania and playing a gamedrive, so I was half worried and half excited, but the guide gama was kind and detailed, so I was able to enjoy a pleasant four-day tour.

An unforgettable experience
We're so happy we went with Lion King for our Honeymoon Safari. All staff we have dealt with were very professional from start to finish, they were very fast with communication all throughout and we were able to customise the experience. We loved every hotel they chose for us and we felt very much taken care of every step of the way. The organisation of the safari from hotel bookings, park fees, check-ins etc was flawless everything went so smoothly. We booked the 5 day safari and added a few days in Zanzibar which we're so glad, it was amazing to finish off with a relax by the beach. Now about the Safari itself: it was our first time in Tanzania and we were absolutely blown away by what we were able to see: we saw everything we were hoping to see and more. We lost count of how many lions we saw, up very close and we had 2 stunning encounters with cheetahs. We saw all big 5, with only the shy rhinos hard to see up close! Our guide Joseph was always attentive, flexible, friendly and very knowledgeable. He helped us to take the best photos for memories we will never forget. If you're thinking about doing with a safari just book it, you won't regret it!

Funtastic :)
We were on honeymoon and arranged a customized Safari at Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. Lion King Adventures easily prepared a package we were looking for. Our guide Suleiman was waiting for us at Arusha airport and we immediately started the journey to reach Serena Lodge in Ngorongoro in time. On the way he already showed and explained everything of Tanzanian beauty. Next morning we started the safari very early due to our tight timing and Suleiman continued explaining and showing animals we would have missed. He stoppped whenever we asked for it and showed us the animals we saw in a wildlife book he had with him. After a fantastic game drive at Ngorongoro where we saw 4 of the big five we continued to Tarangire Safari Lodge. Next morning 'Eagle eye' Suleiman saw the most amazing thing of teh Safari. A female lion with two puppies ond a small hill. Incredible nice. And for sure we would have missed it.
All in all I was in Tanzania very often and made lots of self arranged safaris but this was my best. Thanks a million to Suleiman who was a guide we could not find a better one. Driving carefully, explaimniğng and showing all the beauty of Tanzanian landscapes and wildlife.
