Outstanding service which exceeded all of our expectations
Lion King provided excellent support and help from start to finish. This was a very special trip for us and it needed to be just right and it took us several attempts to agree an itinerary, and the Lion King office team were extremely responsive and helped us get what we wanted. When we arrived at Arusha airport we were immediately greeted by the driver who took us our first hotel. The next day we met our guide for the next 8 days, Joseph, who was absolutely superb; highly knowledgeable, interesting and above all caring and considerate an understanding of all our needs. All the accommodation was at least very good with several of the lodges being superb with views of elephants, buffalo and other wild animals from the balconies. It was sad to leave.
We would very highly recommend Lion King as a great company for a once in a life time safari experience.

Wonderful adventure.
.My wife had an excellent trip to Tanzania and the Serengeti. The accommodations couldn’t have been more comfortable. Our driver/Safari guide couldn’t have been nicer.. His name was Captain Leo or Leonard. He was able to accommodate our needs. And was very pleasant to spend seven days with. The food was better than expected and plentiful. I did not regret going through this company. You won’t either. '

AMAZING Adventure!
I read so many reviews when planning this trip and every excellent review for Lion King Adventures is spot on. Planning a first time safari trip across the world is a bit overwhelming, but they made the process so easy and enjoyable. Every question I had was answered and details I didn't know we needed to cover were brought to our attention. From pick up and departure to transfers and lodging, they covered everything and our trip was flawless because of it. We went mid-rang, every lodge or hotel we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and fantastic. Embalakai in central Serengeti was amazing. Our guide Ozzy was the absolute best at what he does and we will forever remember his smile and laughter. If you're on the fence, book with them. You will not regret it!!

Inspirational 10 day mid range Safari Experience with Lion King & Murshid
This was the best holiday experience of my life. From the very first moment my husband and I felt extremely well looked after by Lion King Adventures and we felt completely safe and comfortable throughout our entire amazing safari.
Our guide, Murshid was excellent. He was always punctual, extremely knowledgeable, had a deep passion for the animals as well as being great fun, full of energy and having a wonderful sense of humour. Murshid could spot animals from very long distances, particularly those that were 'hidden' whether it was rhino's ears hundreds of metres away, lion cubs in the tall grass or various birds nesting in trees to name a few. Many of our lunch-breaks were set in memorable locations whether sitting by a pond surrounded by zebras and wildebeest or a single lion at the base of a tree. One of the most unforgettable moments was witnessing a large herd of wildebeest crossing the Mara river, - we were very blessed to be able to experience this.
Murshid has a deep respect for wildlife and the environment in general and we greatly appreciated his approach, including ensuring we did our utmost not to disturb the animals but keep a respectful distance. He also took great care of the vehicle, making sure it was clean and safe every single day. It was also a pleasure to meet some of the other guides from Lion King Adventures whom we also found to be extremely friendly and warm with a real sense of community. In addition, our range of accommodation across the safari was very good, being clean & comfortable as well as numerous locations being set in nature which only added to the adventure.
If you're considering a safari, Lion King Adventures is the one to choose. They are very customer service focussed, right from the very start during the planning phase and throughout the entire safari itself. They will help you create wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Exceptional 10 day mid range Tanzanian safari - HUGE thanks to Murshid and Lion King
My wife and I have just returned from an truly unforgettable mid range 10 day safari in Tanzania with Lion King where we were extremely fortunate to be hosted by our guide Murshid. Our experience greatly exceeded expectations in all areas.
Lion King were excellent from the very start, including handling our initial enquiries many months before when we were agreeing our safari details as well as the subsequent period leading up to our safari. At all times the Lion King team were professional, very courteous, provided huge amounts of information and endless patience in answering our large number of questions. I would like to make special mention of Maria and particularly Florida who both were a joy to interact with leading up to our safari. As well as providing significant advice, timely and all required information, the whole payment process also went very smoothly.
As for our safari itself, it was truly wonderful. Our safari included amazing visits to Tarangire National Park, Southern Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park over an 8 day period. We were hosted by our guide and driver Murshid who was exceptional and made the whole experience magical for my wife and I. Murshid constantly shared his huge knowledge about the animals and the landscape as well as Tanzania and Tanzanian society in general. We had many informative and enjoyable conversations throughout the 8 days. His experience and expertise were truly impressive and we were blessed to see so many wonderful animals thanks to the skills, expertise and dedication of Murshid who always knew how to find them and bring us to the 'right places'. We had a range of accommodation as we moved around over the 8 days and all was very good, including very friendly staff, great food and wonderful locations set in nature. At all times we felt extremely well looked after and comfortable. Our safari vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser) was superb, handling an extensive range of conditions with ease. Murshid was an excellent and safe driver at all times and the vehicle was always clean everyday despite the travels from the day before. Underlying all of this was Murshid's warmth, wonderful sense of humour and fun as well as his passion for the animals and providing an unforgettable experience for us both. From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say a HUGE thank you to you Murshid. You are a credit to Lion King and to Tanzania and when we now think of Tanzania we both have huge smiles on our faces.
If you are thinking about going on safari to Tanzania, I would recommend Lion King without hesitation. Who knows, if you are lucky enough you may even have Murshid guide you 😀

Lion King Adventures was providing us with an incredible journey!
Me and my partner booked the 5-day trip including Tarangire, two days of Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Right from the pickup from our stay at a small lodge close to the airport of Kilimanjaro, we had the feeling that we made a good choice in choosing Lion King as the company that would guide is through our trip. Unfortunately I cannot recall the name of the driver, but he was a young guy who was very friendly, spoke english well and was not short on providing us with information about the region, the jobs in the safari business and he did not get tired of answering all of our questions til he dropped us off at our first accomodation.
As the driver for the upcoming days, we got to know Salehe Mkwanda, and he was everything we could have asked for in a driver, safari guide and companion. His calm and kind demeanor made us feel very comfortable around him. He was teaching us a lot about the wildlife (which he was very good at spotting at), culture, the safari industry and so much more. He never made us feel rushed, always gave us the right amount of information to process at once, always answered questions to our full satisfaction, considered our request in regards to official rules (which was very important to us!). Even though he was professional throughout the whole trip, we also felt connected to him on a friendly level. To sum it up, we very incredibly lucky and happy to get him as our guide and he took a huge part in making this journey the amazing experience it was.

A perfect, unforgettable experience!
We booked with Lion King Adventures for our honeymoon trip. We spent time in Tarangire where we saw more elephants than we could’ve possibly dreamed of, in the Ngorongoro crater which was surreal and absolutely beautiful, and onto our favourite location - the Serengeti - where we unbelievably saw leopards (2!!!) and cheetahs thanks to our brilliant guide, Benji. Benji was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the wildlife. He was also incredible driving long hours cheerfully and without complaint. We were so grateful that he seemed determined to ensure we saw as much as possible and created memories to last a life time.
We were so well looked after by Lion King, who handled all of the booking and fees and made the whole experience hassle free. I couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Amazing and so organised. Salehe made our trip so incredible!
Straight away from booking the communication from Lion King has been great. Lots of very useful information so that when we arrived it was all easy and we were prepared.
This was truly a trip of a life time. We travelled to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Seregngeti and Ngorongotlro crater. Our guide Salehe was brilliant, he made sure we always knew what was going on, he was very knowledgeable about all of the wildlife and we managed to see the Big 5!! He really made this trip for us, never rushing us and we got to see everything that we wanted.
I cannot fault anything on the tour the food, hotel, people have been excellent. I only wish it was longer!!! It was definitely worth the money!

Fantastic your agency, trip of a lifetime!
Our family chose Lion King Adventures for a custom 11-day safari itinerary, and we couldn’t be more happy with our choice! Everything from our initial inquiry to building our custom itinerary to pre-departure and on-trip support was top quality. Communication with the agents (shoutouts to Florida and Caroline!) was very good. They were extremely patient and helpful the whole time.
Our guide Leonard was fantastic: a great driver, a knowledgeable naturalist, and a genuinely lovely human being. He kept my family safe and comfortable throughout, and we are so grateful.
The safari vehicle (a classic Toyota Landcruiser) was a great vehicle, perfect for game drives and comfortable for long transits.
We visitors Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. Each park had its own attractions and charm. We loved them all. Our accommodations at each were wonderful, and we thank Lion King Adventures for choosing them and offering competitive pricing.
Tanzania is a very special country with incredible and wonderful people. We are so happy we got to experience it, and we thank Lion King Adventures for all the hard work that went into making our dream trip a reality. You can trust them to be responsive, reliable and fair.

Amazing Tanzania Safari Experience
Lion King Adventures had make all the arrangements perfectly. I had a truly wonderful time in Tanzania.
A special thanks to Charles (Elihuruma), our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, like a walking encyclopedia, and gave us fascinating insights into the behavior and characteristics of the safari animals. His dedication and effort in finding the best spots for us to witness those fleeting wildlife moments were truly appreciated.
He’s also quite the “mechanic” as he knows the car inside out. He told us, a driver must use all five senses to understand the car’s condition. The vehicle was over 25 years old, giving me a classic safari vibe, like old film of safari adventures and I loved it. Though the car occasionally gave us trouble, Charles always managed to fix the issues on the spot immediately. Once, the engine stalled not far from a group of lion cubs, and he had to get out to manually switch underneath the car. He told us to keep an eye out for the lioness. It was an unforgettable moment.
