Magical experience with Shanjoy
Going on safari in Kenya and Tanzania was undoubtedly one of the most enriching and emotional experiences of my life. From the very first moment, I felt I was about to live something truly special. Each landscape, every animal sighting, and every unforgettable sunset created memories I will cherish forever.
We were fortunate to be guided by Steven and, particularly, by Isaya, whose presence made this journey extraordinary. Their kindness, passion for wildlife, deep knowledge of nature and local cultures, and the fascinating stories they shared transformed each day into a true discovery. We always felt safe, well guided, and deeply connected to the environment and the communities we visited.
Even the longest drives on rough roads and remote tracks became moments of joy and connection. Thanks to the wonderful interaction with our guides, especially Isaya, time passed effortlessly. The conversations, the laughter, and the positive spirit made every kilometre special, and each transfer between parks felt like part of the adventure.
A special word of appreciation goes to Rhoda, who organised the safari with remarkable care and attention. From the beginning, she was attentive to every detail, always available, and ensured all our requests were met with efficiency and kindness. Her thoughtful planning made all the difference and helped create a truly unforgettable experience.
I return with a full heart, grateful for everything I experienced and for the amazing people who were part of this journey. This safari was more than a trip it was a transformative experience, and the support from Steven, and particularly from Isaya, together with Rhoda’s dedication, made it truly magical.

Fantastic
We did a 7-day safari covering Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire.
Rhoda was extremely dedicated and attentive to all our requests.
The lodges she suggested were perfect — comfortable, well located and full of charm.
The drivers were very professional and knowledgeable. In Tanzania, Isaya made our experience even more enriching by sharing so much about the country, its culture and its wildlife.

The trip of a lifetime
I took my family of four to Kenya for a safari tour through Amboseli and Masai Mara. Our kids are ages 10 and 13 and they had an incredible experience. We did a luxury fly-in tour (1 day in Amboseli and 3 days in Masai Mara). I felt that this was the perfect length for bringing kids along. Flying in between the parks helped to save on time that would have been spent driving. Communication and organization of the tour was seamless. Everything was taken care of for us. The lodging exceeded my expectations. We stayed at Ol Tukai lodge in Amboseli and Basecamp Masai Mara. Food was incredible, especially at Basecamp. We had Patrick for our safari guide. He was wonderful and taught us a lot about the animals. He went out of his way to get us the best game viewing experiences. We saw tons of lions, and even saw a couple of cheetahs and leopards! It's one thing to watch National Geographic shows about these animals, and another thing entirely to see it up close in real life. I would not hesitate to recommend this experience and specifically Shanjoy Tours and Safaris because of the amazing job they did with making this such a memorable trip.

Great trip w Shanjoy
We had an incredible 3-day, 2-night safari adventure in the breathtaking Masai Mara! Our tour operator - Shanjoy truly outdid themselves, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
A huge shoutout to our driver/guide, Nelson whose expertise and passion for the wilderness shone through in every aspect of our tour. His exceptional driving skills navigated us through the stunning landscapes with ease, and his in-depth knowledge of the wildlife brought the safari to life.
From spotting majestic lions lazing in the sun to witnessing the Great Migration's majestic wildebeests, every moment was pure magic. Nelson had an eagle eye for spotting wildlife and had great contacts. His stories about the Maasai culture added a rich layer to our adventure.
The entire experience was seamless, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone looking for an authentic and exhilarating safari experience.

Supporting local was our main key reason to choose Shanjoy but after completing the trip I can only write endless raving reviews about SHANJOY TOURS and it’s excellent staff and extremely knowledgeable tour guides
Reception at airport: very punctual we were greeted with ice cold drinks and given gifts the sun hat…much needed for hot sun!
The warmth with which they greeted us felt like we are meeting long lost relative!
Travelling jeeps: are extremely comfortable and very well outfitted with comfortable pockets bins and USB chargers. They can seat 6 people. They give cold chilled water throughout your scorching hot safari game drives.
The drives are very long time on road should be well spent and if your tour guides are good then it really adds an amazing experience.
Tour guides: excellent folks! Hired fir their decades of experience service & passion.
Our first tour guide for 4 days in Kenya was Kimani and boy oh boy…does he know the facts and details! We are overloaded with cultural geographic geological and zoological information. Very immersive experience. David was our other guide he has contagious energy & infectious smile. Ledgar was with us in Tanzania. Each guide left us with so much knowledge and enthusiasm. They complied to our photographers picky requests, they were extremely patient with all the fellow travelers. They have translator app to help you understand if you are non English speaker.
Our group had avid birders and landscape photographers and the jeep was equipped to support this need.
The hotels: were all 4 star and price we got was just fantastic. Each place had its charm.
Immigration at border can get long but your guide comes and supports you while you are sorting out the paperwork
We saw over 50 types of birds many of them were rare sightings!!
I won’t even start counting the wild life we spotted…crossed off everything on our game ride checklist.
The drivers knew where the lion king will be on pride rock or lion kill will be surrounded by scavengers & vultures or where the lioness will be playing with the cubs… these are rare sights.
Seeing migration a few times was the highlight of our trip.
Patrick the owner of company was honest and trust worthy. He guided us to right hotels for great experience saving lot of our money instead of us being blindly influenced by insta etc.

Great Coordination of Activities
My wife and I had a three night fly in safari to the Maasai Marra. Our tour included pick up at the Nairobi airport and transport to Wilson airport, flights to the Mara accommodations food and activities at the Engai Mara Lodge, the return flight to Nairobi and transportation to the airport. Everything went according to plan. The Engai Mara Lodge was great. The Safari with our guide Lewice were spectacular. The service at the lodge was also exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable and very nice. When we returned to Nairobi, the driver offered to take us to other activities in Nairobi. We were pretty tired and just decided to use a day rate hotel until our flights left that night. That was perfect for us. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza near the airport for a cost of $125.

We had the most amazing safari experience with Shanjoy Tours & Safaris, and we can’t recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, everything was seamlessly organized, tailored to our needs, and handled with care and professionalism.
Patrick, the owner, was exceptional — responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had the trip of a lifetime. He went above and beyond to make sure every detail was right.
A special thank you to Rodah, our trip planner, who designed a perfect itinerary that matched our interests and pace. She was always available, flexible, and quick to adapt to our preferences — truly the backbone of our safari planning.
During the Kenyan portion of our trip, Rio, our driver and game drive guide, was simply outstanding. His deep knowledge of the parks, wildlife behavior, and routes made every day unforgettable. Thanks to his skill and patience, we witnessed incredible wildlife moments up close — from lions at sunrise in Masai Mara to rhinos and flamingos in Lake Nakuru.
On the Tanzanian side, Benny took over and continued the same level of excellence. His expertise, calm personality, and keen eye for spotting animals made our drives in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire absolutely magical.
Our itinerary covered some of East Africa’s most iconic parks.
Every lodge was well-chosen, comfortable, and perfectly located — offering great food, views, and hospitality.
Overall, this was a five-star safari from start to finish. The Shanjoy team delivered a personal, authentic, and well-coordinated experience across two countries — with smooth transitions, reliable transfers, and thoughtful touches throughout.
