Amazing and Seamless Experience Thanks to the Shanjoy Team!
Months before our trip, I reached out to a few well reviewed companies from this website. I heard from Beth at Shanjoy Tours right away and she was 100% invested in our satisfaction from the start. I had next to no idea what we should do, where we should stay, our transportation options, etc. She helped untangle all my ideas and weave a perfect itinerary to maximize our time in Kenya. She recommended some amazing lodges and activities. They booked and coordinated everything behind the scenes. I was promptly sent tickets and confirmations, and it was so easy to pay online. I was never worried we might be stranded, we were always alerted about our transportation, driver and pickup times ahead of time. I always had several people’s contact information and felt welcome to call/text them at any hour if we had any concerns or hiccups. They really prioritize their guest’s wellbeing, enjoyment and safety. They wanted to hear about our reviews of each of our hotels and activities, they appreciated honest feedback and took any concerns seriously. They especially prioritized safety! While on safari in Masai Mara, our guide Dereck was so knowledgeable, flexible and safe. He cleaned to car inside and out every day, performed needed maintenance, respected the park road rules and drove carefully. He not only knew everything about the animals but he really respected them! While other tours were getting way to close to some of the animals, he honored their space, boundaries, their safety and our safety. He was always attentive to when we might need a break, water, how to get the best photos etc, and he always had a plan ready for our next adventure. He plotted out the animal’s locations ahead of time so we were maximizing our days. We saw every animal possible, most more than once. We were so blessed with a smooth and fulfilling experience, thanks to Shanjoy. A once in a lifetime experience but I would trust them with a million more trips like this. Truly the best compared to other companies I talked to or that I have booked with in other countries. Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience!

We wanted an unforgettable trip for our honeymoon and Shanjoy really delivered.
Beth was incredibly responsive, courteous, adaptive, and overall just really lovely to liaise with. She helped us create a crazy itinerary going to five different parks and reserves within both Kenya and Tanzania. She was truly brilliant, and organised everything whilst giving us a breakdown of costs when requested. The prices were competitive, and the service was very much luxury. Thank you Beth!
Our guides Rio (Kenya) and Mustafa (Tanzania) were both fantastic. Rio driving incredible distances, and still managing to organise time for us to do game drives as our preference, as well as teaching us about local culture and understanding where we were a lot better. Mustafa was just unbelievable at spotting game and describing nature and habits, really making the wildlife experience top notch. Thank you to both these funny and great guides who made our trip what it was.
You won’t be disappointed with Shanjoy, we certainly were very happy for our Honeymoon!

Shanjoy was attentive, authentic, and responsive, making our once in a lifetime safari the best!
Shanjoy tours has made it easy to plan a once in a lifetime safari trip. From the start, Rodah was extremely helpful in answering our questions (there were a lot!) and giving her guidance and opinions for our itinerary. She was very attentive and listened to our preferences, and helped us build our itinerary that matched everything we wanted (and then some). We even requested to add things to our plan as late as 2 days before our trip and Rodah quickly updated our itinerary.
Our tour guides Steve and Dominic were excellent and very knowledgeable, giving us information on each species, with facts big and small that made it even more fun to spot animals we have not seen yet. They were quick to respond to sightings, and made sure to give us the best position for viewing and pictures. We were lucky to see the big five within our first 2 days of safari in Maasai Mara thanks to Steve and his impressive abilities to find Rhinos (he sure is dedicated!). Both Steve and Dominic incorporated our input and requests for what animals we would like to see (when possible) and tried their hardest to make sure we saw the animals we wanted to see. We also had Sam, the photographer, with us for our safari and he was amazing. He took portraits of us with the animals in the background, at sunset, took great pictures of the animals, and made sure all of our requests were met.
The transfers from park to park were seamless, and Rodah, Steve, and Dominic handle all the behind the scenes work at the airstrips making the process as easy as possible.
At our first stop in Nairobi, we went a little over board with souvenirs, and Rodah happily kept our souvenirs at the offices, and we collected them as we departed Kenya. Overall, Shanjoy made sure that we were happy from our first correspondence to the time we boarded our plane. We felt like we were their top priority, and that is what makes them stand out from their competitors. I would not hesitate to recommend Shanjoy, and I cannot wait to return for another safari with them!

Very well organised, great choices of accommodations, friendly drivers.
We booked a safari via Shanjoy tours, a group of 11 people, and we were all delighted with our choice of operator. Everything went smoothly, very efficient company not only on the admin side, but also great and friendly drivers doing everything possible to get us to see as many animals as we could. The accommodations booked throughout our 8 night sleepovers exceeded our expectations, with 2 nights in bush camps in northern and central Serengeti National Park. We all had a wonderful time and we all recommend Shanjoy tours & Safaris.

A well-organised and reliable tour operator
We had a fantastic time with Shonjoy and were lucky to have two great guides across our safari, Patrick II for our Masai Mara leg and Hasan for the Serengeti.
Patrick II was absolutely exceptional. He’s incredibly seasoned, a fantastic driver, and genuinely kind and thoughtful. His years of experience really showed, from navigating the Mara to knowing exactly where to be at the right time. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
Hasan was fantastic for the Serengeti leg too. He was energetic, enthusiastic and clearly knew his way around the enormous park.
Overall, we had an amazing experience with Shonjoy and couldn’t have asked for better guides.

Great tour from start to finish
Shanjoy were recommended by a friend so we decided to use and weren’t disappointed. The communication from start to finish was excellent and the vehicles and guides were great. We stayed in mid range accommodation which was excellent and the quality of food and staff friendliness were brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent attention to detail
Rodah our tour guide did an excellent job coordinating the logistics for our customized tour. Eight people, two jeeps, two countries,multiple venues and people arriving and leaving on multiple days.

Perfect planning of our first ever African safari!
Wowww! Thank you to our travel consultant Rodah Wangui and Shanjoy tours! We have return from a 10 night safari starting in Nairobi Kenya through Tanzania and back to Nairobi 8/27-9/6 2026 . We viewed more wildlife than we could have imagined. Saw the “big five”. Lions and lions and lions. I started booking this trip for 8 adults 15 months in advance. Rodah was there every step to make sure we got a safari that meet our desires and price points perfectly. And there were lots of emails Always answered promptly! Our first spot was lake Navaisha and the sopa resort. Absolutely wonderful first spot. We went out in the lake with the hippos and were surrounded by wildlife on land. Zebras outside our doors at night. Spend more than 1 night there. Then we traveled to the Masai Mara. 2 nights inside the park. Breathtaking! Then we had a very long driving day to the Serengeti “ African massage” was free in the jeep during our 10 hour trip. Maybe you should fly? When we arrived. We stayed in the middle of the Serengeti. 2 nights in a tented platform structure. Surround by the stars and wildlife. Not for everyone’s liking. But it was a wonderful experience. Woke up to the feeding elephants behind the tent! Serengeti was packed with herds of wildebeest. Saw our sleepy leopard in the tree. Then we moved to the Ngorongoro crater. We got to see the rhinos and the feeding lion who decided to walk in the road and have a nap in front of our jeep. Next stop was tarangire. Too be honest we all were underwhelmed there after all the wildlife we saw in the previous days. Took a hike up on killimanjoro. And finished our safari in Amboseli NP for 2 nights. The park was incredible and we stayed at the ol tukai lodge and it was great!
In conclusion. With all these moving parts every day was seamless! Our 6 different guides were wonderful. We never waited a moment for anything. Pick up’s, safaris,hotels/lodges check-in. Seamless and wonderful!
And Rodah checked in with us every day too make sure our safari adventure was running this way. Thank you Rodah!
And before I ever contacted Shanjoy. I got recommendations from safaris by Ella. After a few questions she guided us to some operators that could fulfill our journey.

Excellent and Very Attentive
From the time we were picked up at airport till the time of departure everything went smooth thanks to Rohda.
