Accommodating, funny, open, welcoming and clever guy
We had a wonderful safari with our guide, Jimmy.
Jimmy speaks excellent German and gave us fantastic insights into the African wildlife, answering all our questions along the way. We spent three breathtaking days in Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park. The weather was beautiful, and we saw so many animals—it was incredible. Each day, we enjoyed our lunch in stunning locations with breathtaking views. Jimmy truly made these days unforgettable. We couldn't fault him, and we would book this tour again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

A Once‑in‑a‑Lifetime Safari – Serengeti Wakanda Tours Is Truly the Best!
My fiancée and I have just completed the 4‑Day Fly‑In Zanzibar to Northern Circuit Classic Safari, and choosing Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris was the best decision we made for our trip. From the first enquiry to the final drop‑off, everything was perfectly organised, warm, and deeply memorable.
Our Guide – Zephania (Request Him!)
We cannot recommend Zephania enough. With more than 10 years of guiding and game‑driving experience, he was trusting, kind, incredibly polite, and always made us feel safe. His knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, predators, prey, birds, trees (like the Serengeti acacia and Tarangire’s iconic baobab), rivers (including the origins of the Seronera and Tarangire rivers), tribes, and local history made every moment meaningful.
One of the best parts of travelling with him was the early 6:15 am starts, which meant we consistently beat the rush. Because of this, we enjoyed quiet sightings—including witnessing a pride of lions feasting on their kill with only two other vehicles around. Thanks to his dedication, we saw the Big 5 and several rare animals.
If you book with Wakanda Tours, ask specifically for Zephania. He is exceptional at what he does and simply a wonderful person to share this journey with.
Lala Salama Luxury Tented Camp – Our Favourite Stay Ever
Our two nights at Lala Salama Camp in the Serengeti were truly unforgettable. The camp was luxurious, welcoming, and exceeded expectations in every way. The team—especially Charles—made us feel instantly at home. The food was outstanding, and the picnic lunch boxes were far superior to the basic paper‑bag lunches we saw from other operators.
Sleeping under the Serengeti sky with the sounds of lions, buffalos, and hyenas nearby was a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. Our only regret: not staying longer.
A Magical Surprise Engagement During the Night Time Bush Dinner
We decided to opt in for the Night Time Bush Dinner, and it became the most unforgettable night of our lives. The Lala Salama team and Zephania secretly collaborated to create the most beautiful surprise engagement. The special dinner, the setup, the care, and the warmth of everyone involved made it a moment we will treasure forever.
Smooth, Professional Planning From Start to Finish
A special thank‑you to Aishwarya, whose quick communication, clarity, and friendliness made the entire planning and booking process effortless.
We did thorough research before booking, and Serengeti Wakanda came out on top for both price and itinerary. Now that we've experienced it ourselves, it’s clear why they hold consistent 5‑star reviews. The thoughtful welcome pack—including Masai blanket, Wakanda Forever T‑shirts, and mugs—was a lovely extra touch.
Final Thoughts
We wouldn’t book with anyone else. Serengeti Wakanda provides excellent value for money (~$4,000 for 2 people across 4 days), genuine hospitality, deep respect for guests, and a level of luxury without the high‑end price tag of many competitors.
Another reason we wholeheartedly recommend them is that Serengeti Wakanda is a locally based Arusha company, which truly shows in the experience. Their costs are reasonable because you’re booking directly with the people on the ground, and the level of care, cultural insight, and pride they bring is something international operators simply cannot match.
To anyone planning a safari:
Book with Serengeti Wakanda Tours. Request Zephania. Stay at Lala Salama Camp.
You’ll be cared for, inspired, and given memories you’ll carry for life.

Best Vacation Ever
We (party of three adults) booked our safari directly with Serengeti Wakanda. We chose to do this based on their ratings, the lodgings they proposed, and the price for the overall package they arranged. We also appreciated the detailed safari proposal they laid out for us, day by day, meal by meal, accommodation by accommodation. Beatrice Wisoo was our contact person.
On arrival we were met at the airport as arranged. Our first day Beatrice informed us of an upgrade she had made at no cost, because the quality of the previously booked lodge had dropped. Part way through the trip we asked for another adjustment based on our expectations and what we were seeing of the itinerary. Beatrice was able to make that upgrade ar no cost as well.
Our guide was Bashir. He was excellent! We would HIGHLY recommend him. He is experienced, kind, knowledgeable and funny. He took great care of us, knew where he was going and what he was doing at all times, and found us the game viewing well beyond expectations (ie 2 leopards, 12 cheetah, over 60 lions, wildebeest giving birth, lions mating, and so very much more!). It was incredible, and wouldn't have happened with just any guide.
Our accommodations were lovely, and the food, although not always elite, was frequently superb. We paid around $350 per person per day. That included accommodations, all food, vehicle with driver/guide, allnpark entry fees, really everything. That got is luxury, which was what we had negotiated for. We felt like the price and what we received matched well.
We would highly recommend Serengeti Wakanda again, and Bashir as a guide.

Professional
This is the best local company, I recommend it to everyone with all my heart. Perfect organization from the first minute to the last, always delicious freshly prepared hot meals, excellent camping conditions, great staff, everything is professional as it is. I would like to especially highlight Benedict as a guide, a smart guy who is also scientifically prepared in everything, and Salim as a chef, who cooks very delicious dishes even in camp conditions, even baking fresh bread for breakfast. Thank you very much for everything, it was an unforgettable experience, I really recommend it to everyone with all my heart.

An unbelievable experience!
We just finished a 3 day fly in/out Zanzibar safari. The booking process was easy and questions answered quickly. Pick ups/drop offs all super smooth and everything went exactly as planned.
The tour itself is hard to describe because there aren’t enough words to say how wonderful it was. Our guide, Andrew, was the best, he was so good as spotting the animals and could also tell us lots of interesting details about them- we really felt we saw the best of the parks. He also seemed to always know when to be in the right place at the right time - we had the most wonderful lion encounter. The tour felt special, all meals were delicious, every detail and thought was put into it. We were also given gifts by the company! Overall, wonderful experience and worth every penny!

Excellent safari operator with a superb top class guide. Very good value.
We have just completed a totally fantastic 8-day and 7-night trip, definitely one of a lifetime with so many amazing memories to cherish for years to come. We started in Tangire NP, followed by Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti, Ndutu and Ngorongoro Crater. Our first day seriously exceeded expections as we saw large groups of wildebeast, impala, warthogs, elephant, zebra, elands, grant’s gazelle, giraffe followed by lions with cubs and more. And the birds were also numerous and colourful and our guide was knowledgeable on all the animals. We wondered if we had peaked too early but each day we saw animals in different environments and numbers. The gorge and museum was an extra and very well worth visiting to learn about the origins of hominids and homo sapiens. Serengeti is probably the jewel for vastness and numbers of animals and we added leopards, cheetahs, an enormous number of hippos, crocodiles, dik-dik, and more new birds. Stunning giraffe encounters, includimg during our walking safari. Ndutu stands out as having massive numbers of buffalo and wildebeast, including mothers with calves, and literally many thousands of zebras. Ngorongoro Crater is a very special place and we loved that as the finishing location. Black and white rhino were spotted and a herd of buffalo chasing three lions as we entered the crater was a remarkable sight. We saw two servals which completed our list of things we had hoped to see, and watched one hunting and catching a very large mouse.
The guide makes the trip as much as the animals. Tom ((Tumsifo Ayo) took us to the right spots every day so that we saw about 40 different large animal species, including crocs and ostrich, plus well over 100 birds. He was knowledgeable about all the animals and environments, as well as the landscape. We also learned a lot about local history, habitats, and cultures. We enjoyed his company a lot and spent many dinners learning about his family and life. He also knew so many other guides and was so experienced with 16 years as a guide. More than one guide told us that he was the best! All the accommodation was great but funnily enough the most fun night was at Safari Haven Tented migration camp in Ndutu, which wasn’t the most expensive, certainly had the best atmosphere. Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented camp and Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge were excellent places to stay.
All in all, highly recommend Serengeti Wakanda and our knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining guide Tumsifu.

Extraordinary experience😍
After our safari experience with Serengeti Wakanda Tours & Safaris, we can absolutely recommend this agency because we had the best time with them!😍
The planning and organization went smoothly, and Beatrice was always super friendly and helpful, ultimately putting together the perfect itinerary for us.
For the safari we had Andrew as our guide, and we can also recommend him highly! He has over 15 years of experience as a guide and has spent almost his entire life in the national parks – and it shows! He showed us the impressive wildlife and nature and shared his incredible knowledge along the way, while also happily answering all our questions🦁 He speaks perfect english and french, what made the communication very easy. Furthermore Andrew is also a safe driver, which made us feel relaxed during the long car rides. He truly is the best guide we could have wished for😊
The accommodations that Wakanda suggested and booked for us also exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed them very much☀️
Another plus point of this agency is certainly that they offer a warm, healthy lunch every day, which you can enjoy in the national parks (sometimes with a view of the animals in the distance).👍🏼
On our next trip to Tanzania, we will 100% book with Serengeti Wakanda Tours & Safaris again and request Andrew as our guide. We would be happy to be back🫶🏻

Outstanding in all areas.
If you want the most incredible safari then Serengeti Wakanda is the company to go with. I was a solo female traveller and I not only felt safe but I had the trip of a lifetime. From Beatrice organising my itinerary, Fabby picked me up at the airport and transported me to my accomodation, Jackson showed me Arusha for the day and Max who was my guide and driver for the whole safari showed me the most incredible wildlife and he taught me so much about the animals and Tanzania. I loved this company and this country so much that I plan to return in the future and I will only go with Serengeti Wakanda. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
