Perfect Honeymoon Safari
5/5

We are celebrating our honeymoon and booked this safari as a ‘once in a lifetime trip’ and it has not disappointed! After doing our research, we were recommended Serengeti Wakanda as a company and from first contact, everything has been so smooth and flexible with frequent contact from Goodluck. We were able to tailor our trip perfectly based on the areas we wanted to see and down to the different accommodation choices and it was no trouble at all. From our arrival at the airport in Tanzania, the guide was waiting and then after 2 nights in Arusha, our safari guide, Andrew, collected us for our 6 day safari through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. Every day on Safari was amazing, we were lucky enough to see everything we wanted to see, Andrew knew all of the best spots to search for animals and had so much knowledge and many stories to share. We enjoyed lunch away from the crowds in the parks, with hot meals prepared by the lodges and set out by Andrew. The vehicle was a Land Cruiser 4x4 and was comfortable despite the “African Massage” roads, with cold drinks on board every day. Each of the lodges suggested by Goodluck were special, food and staff were amazing but a special mention to La La Salama in the Serengeti which was the best accommodation by far and is not to be missed! Serengeti Wakanda as a whole has been super professional, Andrew gave us a time to leave each morning and was always on time and drivers from the airports were there ready for our arrival which gave us peace of mind that everything was in hand, with Goodluck available by WhatsApp throughout. We cannot fault a single thing about our honeymoon and will definitely be recommending Serengeti Wakanda and especially Andrew the guide to friends and family when we’re home.

Professional service, excellent guides and accommodation
5/5

Having joined this dual adventure over December 2025 from the Serengeti to Mt. Kilimanjaro, I couldn’t agree more with the praise for Wakanda Safari. Everything from the logistics to the comfortable accommodations was handled seamlessly.
Serengeti to Arusha with Elia: Elia was outstanding. With his environmental science background, his deep knowledge of animal behavior, plant species, and local ecology turned every game drive into a masterclass. Beyond his expertise, he is genuinely humble, polite, and welcoming—an absolute pleasure to travel with.

Kilimanjaro Trek: Our mountain guide was equally incredible. His command of the terrain, flora, and fauna kept us engaged the entire climb. He carried our food, kept us well-fed, and guided us down safely with immense care. I was so grateful for his dedication that missing the chance to tip him in cash on the spot has been bugging me ever since—something I am making sure to rectify now!

Wakanda Safari employs top-tier guides who truly make the experience. Highly recommended!

Experienced
5/5

We were a group of nine who arrived in Kilimanjaro from Durban for a 9-day mid-range safari, with the highlight being the Great Migration and, hopefully, experiencing the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding regarding the itinerary, we did not get to visit the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. This was disappointing, particularly as we had specifically planned to arrive in Kilimanjaro for this experience. In hindsight, we could have travelled directly to Arusha, which would have saved both time and resources.

Accommodation
Most of the accommodation was of a moderate standard and generally adequate for a safari.

At Kaliwa Lodge in Moshi, however, we had an issue with our first room, which had a large number of big black ants running around the room, including on the bed. There were also house lizards on the wall. We brought this to the attention of the staff and were promptly given another room, which was much better and comfortable.

Our stays at Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge, Lala Salama Serengeti Luxury Camp and Masek Tented Lodge were particularly good and stood out among the accommodations.

Food & Meals

The hotels generally made an effort to consult with our group about our dietary requirements and preferences, which we appreciated. However, we found that the meals were quite basic, particularly considering the length of the safari.

Unfortunately, at one point during the trip, seven out of the nine members of our group became very unwell with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. This was obviously very unpleasant and affected the enjoyment of the safari for those involved. While we cannot say with certainty where the illness originated, we feel that food handling, storage and temperature control during the safari are areas that deserve particular attention.

One suggestion would be to pack picnic lunches in properly insulated warmer boxes, rather than conventional picnic baskets. On some days, the lunches remained in the hot safari vehicle for an extended period before being eaten. Where possible, an earlier lunch stop would also be preferable, so that food is not left in a hot vehicle for several hours.

We believe that paying closer attention to food storage and temperature control would significantly improve the comfort and safety of future safari groups.

The Safari & Our Guides
The safari itself was very well programmed, and we were fortunate enough to see all the animals we had hoped to see. The organisation of the game drives allowed us to experience a wonderful variety of wildlife and, of course, the incredible spectacle of the migration.

We had two 4x4 vehicles with two driver-guides, Godlove and Andrew. Both were extremely knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and enthusiastic. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible wildlife experience and made every effort to find and show us the animals.

My husband and I travelled with Godlove throughout the safari, and we were particularly impressed by his driving skills. He was calm, careful and professional at all times. He respected the rules, never drove recklessly or unnecessarily fast, and always made us feel safe and comfortable. He also took great pride in keeping the vehicle clean and had it cleaned every day.

Although we travelled in Godlove’s vehicle, I also had the opportunity to observe Andrew’s driving and professionalism. He demonstrated excellent driving skills and appeared equally competent and safety-conscious. The five members of our group who travelled with Andrew were also very happy with their experience and had no complaints.

Overall, we had a very good safari experience and saw an amazing amount of wildlife. The safari was well organised by Serangity Wakana, and the dedication, knowledge and professionalism of Godlove and Andrew were a major part of what made the trip enjoyable.

With clearer communication about the itinerary and some improvement in the standard and inspection of certain accommodations, the overall experience could be even better.

Despite the few disappointments, we will take away many wonderful memories from our Tanzanian safari, especially the incredible wildlife and the dedication of our two guides.

We had a great holiday.
5/5

We had a brilliant safari holiday in Tanzania with Serengeti Wakanda. We wanted to take our time on safari and have a range of other
experiences, and Gwen helped us come up with a personalised itinerary. She was really helpful and communicative throughout both the booking
process and the actual holiday.

Fabian looked after us really well in and around Arusha. We had a great time on our city tour as well as our visit to Materuni/Chemka,
and he was always very informative and supportive.

Charles was our guide on safari and he was both incredibly knowledgeable as well as warm and easy to talk to. His knowledge of the animals and the area is tremendous, and we had a range of really memorable sightings thanks to him. Highlights included seeing a successful cheetah hunt, all three big cats on kills, and three different wildebeest river crossings. We felt the drama and unpredictability of life in the Serengeti.

Charles' knowledge of the areas meant
a lot of our sightings were not busy at all, and we had some great lion sightings to ourselves. He helped us feel immersed in the experience of being with the animals so we had a glimpse into their world.

The food was great throughout, and our chef Achraf was really accomodating and cooked a varied amount of food (huge helpings) with amazing desserts.

Both Charles and Fabian were extremely kind and engaging with our son, he misses them! They were really accommodating and made him feel really valued and welcomed.

We would totally recommend this safari company to others.

Amazing safari experience
5/5

We came to Tanzania for our honeymoon safari and had an incredible time! Aishwarya was really helpful and responsive in planning our itinerary, and the quality of everything throughout the trip was amazing. It genuinely felt like a 5-star experience.
Our guide, Zephania, was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to tailor the experience around what we wanted. We saw the Big Five and every animal we hoped to see! We’d definitely recommend Wakanda Tours, especially Zephania, for an amazing safari experience 😊

Best guide and safari experience!
5/5

We absolutely loved our first safari experience! Our guide Bashir was amazing right from the start, he was so friendly and so knowledgeable about everything. He was able and happy to answer any questions we had. He taught us so much about the animals as well as the local culture and tribes and some of the Swahili language. He seemed to know just where every animal could be found and he would make sure we always had the best spot to see them from. The tents and lodges we stayed in were all amazing and seemed so immersed in the nature and the staff and food at each were amazing! Everything on our safari was perfect thanks to Bashir and I would definitely recommend him and Serengeti wakanda safaris to everyone!!

The most amazing experience
5/5

A family of 6 with adult children and our first safari experience. We cannot recommend Serengeti Wakanda and our guide Bashir enough. From when we first had contact with Beatrice 12 months ago to the numerous questions she answered and the help she was able to give us when we had a problem coming through customs. We then met our guide Bashir who was with us on the long days, he was patient answering our many questions, super knowledgeable, he had a second sense in knowing where to find the big 5, we saw so much. We wouldn’t go with any other company or any other guide in future.

So professional, delivering a quality product exceeding all of our expectations.
5/5

My husband and I along with our adult son just had the most spectacular experience with the help of Serengeti Wakanda. Aishwarya helped put together a 7 day itinerary covering the Northern/Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, and everything went so smoothly. She took care of airport transfers, our flight to Northern Serengeti, and all accommodations working with us in terms of what was still available and our budget. She promptly responded to all my questions. After booking, communications switched from email to WhatsApp.

Our guide, Godlove, was everything we hoped for and more! He was eagle eyed, seeing animals I could barely make out with my binoculars even after he pointed them out to me. Granted seeing wildlife is never guaranteed, we were able to see everything we hoped to see with Godlove’s experience, his network of other guides, and a little luck. We saw a wildebeest crossing within a couple of hours of our touching down in the Serengeti. Godlove knew where they would cross so we had front row seats. In addition to the big five and the ugly five, we saw a cerval stalking its dinner and a honey badger. Maybe not what most people look for, but those were both very rare sightings. He is a wealth of information, sharing with us his vast knowledge and answering all of our questions. He is also a very safe driver, which I can’t say is necessarily the case of others out in the Serengeti. He cleaned it every evening, which is a big deal given how dusty it was. He never rushed us. He made us feel like we were in charge of our schedule. He is the ultimate cool guide.

Our lunches were always the type of food had we eaten back at the lodge. Every day, Godlove would break out stainless steel pots of meats and vegetables and rice and noodles. We so appreciated that over the boxed lunches many other groups had. Also so much less packaging waste.

We stayed in lovely accommodations, most notably the Lala Salama in Central Serengeti owned by Wakanda. All accommodations had very welcoming staff. We preferred the smaller places to avoid having larger groups of tourists.

We decided to book a balloon safari. That was very enjoyable.

Overall, an unforgettable experience and we would not hesitate to recommend Serengeti Wakanda.

Amazing experience!
5/5

We had an absolutely amazing safari experience! We were incredibly lucky with the animals we got to see, which made the experience even more special.
The food was also a real highlight, every meal was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. After a day of exploring, it was wonderful to sit down and enjoy such good food. (Chef Saleem)

We were especially happy with our guide Issa. He is such a cheerful, friendly, and helpful man, and his passion really shines through. He knows so much about the animals, nature, and local culture, and he was always happy to share interesting facts and stories with us. He made the safari both educational and incredibly enjoyable.

We truly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this safari! 🐘🌿

Amazing Safari with Wakanda and Max!!
5/5

We chose to celebrate our honeymoon with a 7 day midrange safari with Serengeti Wakanda and couldn’t be happier with our decision! Wakanda made everything incredibly easy and the entire trip went off without a hitch. The lodges and camps were all gorgeous, clean and had amazing food! Special shout out to Lala Salama Luxury Tented Camp, which is owned and operated directly by Wakanda in the central Serengeti and was a legitimate 5 star experience in the middle of nature. The planning process was easy as the Wakanda team is extremely knowledgeable but flexible to make sure all our goals were met. Once the Safari started Wakanda had everything planned out to a T and we would certainly travel with them again!

The biggest reason to choose Wakanda is the quality of their guides. Our guide, Max, was an absolute legend! He was a great driver, is extremely knowledgeable about the animals and was an incredible cultural ambassador for his country. He has a knack for predicting animal behavior and multiple times got us up close and personal by moving us into the right position to get amazing pictures by sensing the animals’ moves. Above all Max is just a great dude! He’s happy, friendly and passionate above his job, country and conservation. Our safari was like spending a week with a friend! He worked so hard to make sure we had an amazing honeymoon and we’re really grateful. Travel with Wakanda and request Max as your guide, you won’t regret it!!
