Monkey Adventures: Reliable, highly professional and caring at fair price
From the very first email to the final drop-off, our safari with Monkey Adventures was simply outstanding. Fauziah replied to every email promptly, friendly and very professional.
Everything was so well-organized — from the itinerary to the lodge bookings — that we never had to worry about a thing.
We were picked up and dropped off right at our airport hotel. The safari vehicle (a Land Cruiser) was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped — there was even a fridge with plenty of cold water bottles and charging ports for our phones.
Our guide, Edwin, was absolutely fantastic! Extremely experienced, calm, and attentive, he made the safari both educational and relaxing. He was always checking in on our comfort and preferences, and thanks to his deep knowledge of wildlife and sharp eyes, we saw so many animals up close in both Amboseli and Tsavo East. On top of that, he’s an incredibly safe driver — we always felt secure, even on the rougher park roads. Truly, Edwin couldn’t have been better!
Monkey Adventures offers several lodge options depending on your budget, and the two we chose were both great — clean, comfortable, with delicious food and welcoming staff. But the absolute highlight was Satao Camp in Tsavo East. It’s an unfenced camp by a waterhole, so you have impalas, monkeys and other animals just roaming freely through the camp.
All in all, this safari was an unforgettable experience! Monkey Adventures is a truly reliable and professional tour operator, and we always felt safe and well taken care of throughout the journey.

Our expectations were exceeded
From day one Fauziah was the best planner imaginable, very patient and very fast in answering. Our guide, Shem, was on time, very friendly, had a lot of knowledge about the animails, so that we had seen the „big 5“ after just two days of safari. He gifted us many unforgettable moments with the wild beauty, especially the cats, and even lion cubs. We would recommend monkey safari, as we felt safe, the safari was organized according to our wishes and with helpful information! Thank you for the great time, hope to be booking soon with you again!

The best tour operator in Kenya and Tanzania
We are a family of 5 and did a 14 days safari in Kenya and Tanzania with Monkey adventures and it was an amazing experience.
While planning some of us thought if 14 days could be too long but at the end of the tour, all of us agreed that we could happily spend several more days on safari.
While the national parks themselves are amazing, monkey adventures did a great job in suggesting us an itinerary that met our criteria (amazing wildlife in diverse parks along with varied experiences and with mid tier accommodations within our budget) and working with us for months and answering dozens of our mails and calls. They provided us with perfect vehicles and amazing guides (Dickson in Kenya and Kimondo in Tanzania) that made our journey thoroughly enjoyable.
It has been a month since our tour and we can't stop talking about it or telling about it to our friends.
If you are planning a safari in Kenya or Tanzania, do not hesitate to use them.

Extremely professional and on top of everything.
We used Monkey Adventures Kenya and Tanzania. The guides we had Rodger in Kenya and CAD in Tanzania were excellent. Their animal and bird knowledge were fantastic. There ability to spot animal and birds were incredible particularly since most of the spotting was done as we’d were bouncing along on very rough tracks. They were also very friendly and attentive to our needs The Toyota safari wagons had pop
Up tops and provided great safe viewing. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone thinking about a tour of Africa. In fact we may be going again next year with our young grandkids.

Trip of a Lifetime
Thanks to Monkey Adventures, we (5 older Canadians in our late 70s) recently enjoyed the trip of a lifetime, a 15 day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that the wildlife would be so prolific. We saw thousands of wildebeest and antelope, hundreds of zebras, giraffes, elephants, Cape buffalo, warthogs and primates, tens of rhinos, hippos, hyenas, jackals and crocodiles, 181 species of birds, and an amazing number of large cats, 76 in total.
In case you're interested, our itinerary was Buffalo Springs (2 nights), Ol Pejeta (2 nights), Lake Nakuru (1 night), the Maasai Mara (3 nights), the Serengeti (3 nights), the Ngorongoro area (1 night), the Maasai Eco Boma & Lodge in Makuyuni (1 night), finally finishing up with 2 nights in Arusha and a day in Arusha NP. In retrospect, it was the perfect itinerary for us.
It all started with the Monkey Adventures sales team eight months ago. I mostly dealt with Fauziah in Kenya who is a saint for her patience. We exchanged nearly 90 emails and she was always quick to respond, clear, informative, helpful, and professional. On the Tanzanian side, my sales contact was Sylvia who was equally wonderful to deal with. Since we were doing a two-country safari, the two of them worked seamlessly together as a team.
Our guides were Roger in Kenya and Cas in Tanzania. These guys were fantastic and I can't say enough about them. Great senses of humour, caring, courteous, knowledgeable, safe and careful drivers, and phenomenal spotters, able to spot a leopard with the naked eye lying in the dark shadows of a tree fork at 300 metres while simultaneously navigating the vehicle along a rough track laden with potholes the size of craters.
Our vehicles, Toyota Landcruisers with pop tops for game viewing, were clean and spacious. Our accommodations were more luxurious than what I ever could have imagined and the included meals were excellent and plentiful.
Because we went in late May, we were able to take advantage of highly discounted low-season rates. For most lodges and camps, high-season rates begin on June 1. While May is officially the end of the rainy season, we experienced almost no rain. An added bonus was that the savannah and hills were still beautifully green. It was also a good season to see all of the baby animals.
In Kenya and Tanzania, it's difficult to select a safari operator because there are simply so many good ones, all with excellent reviews. So I shortlisted 10 of them and corresponded with them all for a couple of months. In my experience, Monkey Adventures was the best at dealing with my hundreds of questions to my satisfaction. Coincidentally, they were also the least expensive for what we wanted to do and for the lodges/camps we wanted to stay at. In the end, it was a great decision and I wholeheartedly recommend them for your Kenya or Tanzania safari.

Professional and polished despite hiccups
We understand that unexpected challenges can arise during travel. The true measure of a company is how it responds—and to their credit, Monkey Adventures took full ownership of the issues we encountered.
What started superbly on an eight-night safari went awry when we had to change guides. Richard and his vehicle were superb. He clearly knew all there was to know not only about the wildlife but also about Kenya. Regrettably, musical chairs of guides followed, none of who met the standard set by Richard.
This caused undue stress and uncertainty. As seasoned travellers with experience across Africa, our expectations are high. Communication lapses and inconsistent service led us to question whether we’d book with Monkey Adventures again. In a competitive market, consistency and clarity are essential.
However, Monkey Adventures did not make excuses or deflect. They provided a transparent breakdown of what went wrong, acknowledged their atypical need to subcontract under pressure (something they won’t do again--lesson learned), and offered generous compensation. Their accountability and professionalism went a long way in restoring our trust. For that reason, we would still consider booking with them again, especially with a new fleet of land rovers. I would recommend them, especially for their flexible itineraries, responsiveness, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Posted on Nov 17, 2025Dear Jennifer and Thomson,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your kind words about Felix. We are delighted to hear that he contributed to a wonderful safari experience for you and your wife. We are also sincerely grateful that you have chosen to recommend us to your friends for their upcoming Kenya and Tanzania cross-country safari. We look forward to delivering a fantastic experience for them.
We are sorry to hear that the communication around your final-day transfer caused frustration. We want to clarify the situation, as our intention throughout was to ensure your safety and comfort, not to block your plans.
To clarify the timeline of events:
On January 27, when you asked about driving to Nairobi on Day 9, we explained the long travel times involved after a full Ngorongoro crater tour. We recommended against it purely based on safety and comfort considerations for senior travelers.
On January 28, you informed us of a 10:00 AM meeting in Nairobi on Day 10. We honestly advised that a road transfer would not be feasible to meet that specific time and suggested flights instead.
On January 30, you instructed us to end our services in Arusha on February 11 and have your friend take over. We immediately updated your itinerary and voucher as requested.
Later, between February 7 and 9, when you informed us that you needed to end the tour on Day 9 at noon in Arusha, we reorganized the itinerary to move the Ngorongoro Crater game drives to the previous day. When you subsequently asked us to reinstate the Arusha to Nairobi road transfer, we confirmed that we could do so and provided the cost and vehicle details immediately.
As agreed, we picked you up at the Diplomat Hotel on February 11 and transferred you safely to Nairobi.
At no point did we refuse to provide the transfer. Our initial hesitation was an attempt to provide professional advice regarding the fatigue of long travel days. Ngorongoro Crater drives take about 5 hours, the drive to Arusha is 4.5 hours, and the transfer to Nairobi can take another 5 hours depending on the border. Combining this into one day is extremely tiring, and our responsibility is to inform clients when a plan is logistically possible but not recommended for their well-being.
We are truly happy that your safari itself was excellent and that Felix provided outstanding service. We sincerely apologize if the logistical discussions felt stressful, as that was never our intention. We will review our internal procedures to ensure our consultants explain all options with maximum clarity in the future. Thank you again for choosing Monkey Adventures, and we look forward to welcoming your friends soon.
Best Regards,
Fred

Great experience
We had a 7 days safari in Tanzania in Aug 24. From the very beginning I really enjoyed Monkey Adventures: the booking process was easy and clear and we received several options to choose from. We received all the information we needed (emails and guidelines were completed and crystal clear).
The day we arrived in Tanzania we had a 30min briefing to be prepared for the safari. Accommodations were all very good; I must say that they all overcome my expectations as we opted for what we thought were budget solutions but they resulted to be very nice, very clean and comfortable. Tasty meals (side note: I'm allergic to diary and I had never troubles to get proper meals). The guide we had was very experienced and we saw a lot of animals. We really enjoyed the experience. Really pleasant also the trip to Materuni Falls and coffee plantation on the last day.
Great value for money.
We definetly will be contacting Monkey_adventures_africa again if we have the opportunity to travel in the countries they operate.
