Everything was great, considering I booked a budget safari. Masai Mara is big, I could see all the animals several times (except for the rhinos which are rare in that park) and also visit the Masai village. Food and accomodations were ok for a budget safari. The guide was very good and would get us very close to the animals. Transportation could be better, we were 7 people in a van, I think it should be limited to 6 people, because if you were in a row with 3 people one of you would not be able to stand up and look through the open roof if the other 2 were standing.

It was unbelievable. I was super worried about my 25yr daughter (Jacinta) safety, so I went with her and made sure we booked a great company. Mid/Range tour Serengeti with Lion King Adventures for 7days and everything was perfect. I’m pretty fussy and was totally blown away with service, accommodation 5+, security, food and the most amazing people we met, including locals.
Would highly recommend Arusha Giraffe Lodge prior or after tour. Arrange Lodge driver to pick you up (low price), because you really need security and safety at all times. Best(chef-Jasin) in Arusha and beautiful accom/family owned. My son is head chef in very exclusive restaurant and would very much love meet Jasin and learn his techniques. Staff incredible, a must especially if you like lovely accommodation, secure place, transport at decent price. Please tip well, they deserve every penny you can afford. Much better than a 4.5* hotel and they never ask

Stellar
5/5

I traveled to Cape Town and Johannesburg South Africa, had a safari in Timbavati Nature Reserve in South Africa, then went to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Zanzibar, Tanzania from August 23- Sept 13, 2019. I used Wild Wing Safaris to book the best vacation I have ever had. From the beginning Gavin was extra patient with me as he helped to customize my trip. This was not a package they had readily available but you would never have known that. Gavin was a great advisor and realist with my itinerary and helped me to obtain a realistic vacation experience. He recommended the safari camp, the number of days that I should stay in each location based on the time that I had available and he worked to schedule all my flights and activities. If that wasn’t enough, my friend decided to join for some of the vacation and he was able to accommodate her as well with no issues.

We had a slight misstep with South African Airways which was no fault of Wild Wings Safaris but totally SAA. I contacted Gavin and he was on top of it ASAP. He also was readily available throughout my vacation if I had any additional questions. He provided a very detail itinerary for each date of the vacation so I always knew what was up next. I simply purchased a one way ticket from Houston to Cape Town and Johannesburg back to Houston, he literally handled everything else. It was a magical vacation as he said it would be. I cannot say enough about this company. The customer service was phenomenal and the entire vacation was definitely a trip of a lifetime. Every day was very unique and exciting I would definitely recommend this company and would absolutely use again! Thank you very much Gavin for making this vacation more than I EVER expected.

Activities on this vacation:
Cape Town Activities: Cape Point Tour, Wine lands Tour, Robben Island, and Table Mountain- all 4 star
Timbavati Nature Reserve: Bateluer Camp- Great atmosphere, great staff and food! The trackers and drivers were simply amazing. Great accommodations. Saw 4 of the Big 5- no leopard for us…but the bush walk to see the Rhinos made up for it 
Johannesburg Activities: Cradle of Humankind and Johannesburg and Soweto tour- recommend all
Victoria Falls Activities: Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi, Helicopter ride over Victoria Falls, High Tea at Devils Pool (you can actually get in for pictures), Boma Dinner, Walking with the Giants (this is an interactive tour, we were able to touch the elephants and feed them), and a night game drive and bush dinner- highly recommend all activities
Zanzibar- Spice Farm Tour and Stone Town, also visited a local village and had beach time.

Responsive and excellent service!
5/5

We had the most incredible time on our safari trip! Sandra was wonderful to work with, presented us with a variety of options and was incredibly responsive. We had many specific requests and booked the trip last minute, and Sandra helped find us first class accommodation that met all of our criteria. Highly recommend working with this company.

Totally professional. We could not have been happier.
5/5

From our first communication with Shemeji, we were very impressed. Emails were always answered quickly, providing plenty of detailed information. We wanted a variation to the itinerary which was simply altered to accommodate our request.
The tour was fabulous, from our first morning entering Tarangire to our last day at Ngorongoro Crater.
Our guide/ driver, Adam, was fabulous. He managed to spot animals which we couldn’t even see initially, all whilst negotiating difficult roads. He seemed to have an uncanny knowledge about where to park and wait for the animals to come to us. A special thank you to Adam.
The accommodation provided was lovely. The hosts were all friendly and welcoming.
Tanzania has given us such special memories, we are grateful to Shemeji for playing a large part in this. Asante.

Not the cheapest, but Robert provided a very very personal and professional service.
5/5

Robert at Wanderlust was always quick to respond and accommodated all my requests before I arrived in Africa.

The Wanderlust service was not the cheapest, but if you want an easy booking while not in Africa, and a very personal and professional service from pick up to drop off you will get that with Robert.

Of note, it does seem that Wanderlust is an on seller of tours of sorts - our initial pick up was conducted by Wanderlust, however the game drive was conducted in a vehicle that was branded with different logos, and with people who had booked through other companies and consequently paid alternate prices.

This situation had not been explained to me prior, so I had been expecting a consistent group however it changed on both days (day one there were 4 of us and day two there were 6 of us).... - however as stated above, given how easy Robert made the booking, and his professional service - I still regard it as a positive trip, just if I did it again I would ask those questions, as I personally prefer when a tour is conducted by the one operator, and is not out sourced.

Great intro to Tanzanian wildlife!
5/5

Robert and his guides provided us with an excellent two day safari to Taringire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The driver, Issa, was amazing and very willing to get in as close as possible for us to view and photograph the wildlife. He was very enthusiastic and friendly to us. The overnight at a campsite was amazing, perched above lake manyara. A very tasty dinner was followed by native dances and acrobatics. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. Also Robert was always very quick to respond and he went out of his way to arrange for our transfer to and from Moshi and was always early for our scheduled pick ups.

I recommend this or a similar trip with this outfit. They offer much more than the 2 day safari that we joined. Thanks African Wanderlust!

From the first moment, we found this safari with great comfort and tranquility because of the confidence that Maximiliam provides. He is an expert knowledgeable about safaris and is always waiting for his customers to find all possible comforts. Without a doubt, if I enjoy a safari again, it will be with this company.

Unforgettable great safari experience thanks to Tukio Safaris!
5/5

Earlier in 2019, I started researching information on safaris in Kenya, checking with a number of recommended and highly rated safari tour operators to put together a suitable itinerary for my 8 year old grandson and myself.

I eventually decided to book with Tukio Safaris. The service I received from Tukio's Samuel was really great. Informative, clear and prompt. He provided info and recommendations for our itinerary and accommodations which turned out to be spot on. My decision to go with Tukio Safaris was largely due to the efficiency of these communications and Tukio's pricing being very reasonable indeed.

We went with Tukio's recommendations on a suitable itinerary covering most of the main places - Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha and very much enjoyed all of these. The Hot Air Balloon Ride at Masai Mara as recommended by Samuel was a truly unforgettable experience (which my grandson still talks about!) The Lodges recommended by Tukio in the various national parks all turned out to be really great (accommodation, food and service wise).

We decided to take a private tour in a 4x4 Land Cruiser - just the 2 of us with our driver/guide Paul. It cost a little more but well worth it, as we were totally free to roam wherever and whenever we wished and change our routings in order to see more . The roads can be extremely rough and bumpy and some of the drives quite long, so it is worth the small extra cost to have the 4 x 4. With the pop-up roof, we were able to have great views of the animals and both take some great photos and videos, many at very close range. We saw everything we wanted to see - and more!

Paul our driver/guide was amazing. He was not only a very safe driver but was also adept at finding the best spots to see and get up close to the animals. When we unfortunately had a flat tyre when entering the Masai Mara for an early morning game drive, he very quickly made arrangements for us to be taken aboard another 4x4 so we wouldn't miss anything and then picked us up a little later to continue with him.

On another occasion, due to heavy rain, one of the main tracks through the park was blocked - but Paul lost no time in finding a way around this and we were the first of many stranded vehicles to be on our way. On a safari you must expect the unexpected - and it is therefore VERY important to have an experienced and considerate driver/guide like Paul looking after you!

Paul was so good with my grandson and made sure he maintained his interest - and in fact they very soon became great buddies.

On our last day, on our way to Nairobi Airport, Samuel had arranged for us to stop en route for dinner at The Carnivore Restaurant. It is such a unique place, with a wide selection of meats and was a really great way to end off our trip. I have never seen my grandson eat so much - his favourite being the crocodile. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much Tukio Safaris - and especially Samuel and Paul, for all your efforts and hard work in making this such an amazing experience for both of us!
