An incredible safari experience with a great guide!
Mwangaza Safari was always in contact with us to answer all our questions and concerns. We were pleasantly surprised at the lodges they choose for us. They were very nice! Our guide was incredible and very passionate about what he does. We all became friends. I would use this company again and I highly recommend them!

Kwesa is responsive, welcoming and offers fair prices in the market full of competition.
I decided to book my hike with Kwesa Tours after researching different tours, pricing and start dates. In the end I booked a private tour as no other date was suitable and picked the Lemosho Route. Total for 9 days was $2,049 USD with Kwesa. One factor that had me interested in Kwesa was that they also run a (Kilimanjaro) Orphanage on the side, and business from their tours help subsidize costs at the orphanage. It would also be convenient in the even I wanted to volunteer. Another factor was that Kwesa is very responsive via email/chat making the decision to book with them very easy for me.
My Team: At first, I was worried about doing a private tour as a single female. However, by the end of day 1 after getting to know everyone I felt more comfortable and by the end of the trip, I can say with confidence that Justice (guide), and Shaban (cook and guide in training) were amazing and really made my experience memorable. Justice loves nature and has an abundance of knowledge of the biodiversity there in the mountains making the trip a fun learning experience as well as a trip of a lifetime. I also need to recognize that the rest of the team, 5 porters, made this whole trek possible. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without their strength and help with bringing our gear, food, and utilities for the 9-day trip.
The Climb: Although I summitted, a gruelling 7-hour experience, I completed the trip in 6 days. Climbing alone doesn’t come without challenges. I found it isolating and lonely and started feeling very depressed during evenings by day 2. Although physically I felt good and wasn’t experiencing major symptoms from the altitude (until sumitting), I had no desire to eat. To be honest, I started feeling sick whenever I saw food, and I think my calorie intake was less than 800 per day. I don’t doubt that this also impacted my mental well-being.
It was hard for me to remember and retain information, and I lost the desire and motivation to track my trip on video. In my head, my only goal was to summit and get off the mountain as soon as possible. I started to ask my guide about finishing the trek earlier than planned by day 3 as I wanted to be back at the cottages end of day 6. We condensed our daily hikes but day 5 and 6 were very difficult as I only had 3 hours of sleep between those two days—but this was my decision.
Kwesa Tours: Their motto is “come as a friend, leave as family.” Edward, the owner of Kwesa, was generous and gave me an opportunity to meet the kids of the Kilimanjaro Orphanage and to visit some of the private schools in the area where some of their orphans attend. I would deff recommend this tour company, and to spend a few days with the kids at the orphanage. Keep in mind that the kids are quite young, the group I met were 3 years old or so, so it can be quite hectic. But they get excited about meeting new people and just want to play.

Incredible Safari Experience in Northern Tanzania
Thank you Daily Expeditions Limited for the perfect organized safari in Tarangere-Ngorongoro-Lake Manyara. All 4-days were super, well-planned and comfortable. We were delighted with lions, leopard, amounts of elephants, all big 5 and other animals. Big thanks to our guide for an amazing job we sported all animals we wanted to see.

Excellent 15 day safari - Uganda/Kenya/Tanzania
Our safari with Wildebeest Safaris surpassed my wildest expectations. Noah from Wildebeest planned a fantastic itinerary for us. We flew into Kigali, Rwanda and our guide drove us to Bwindi where we had an unbelievable gorilla experience (a juvenile make actually grabbed me briefly around my thigh)! Then we went to Queen Elizabeth and Kibale National Parks. Both were excellent experiences. Our guide in Uganda was Charles from GoExplore Safaris and he was a great guide!
We flew to Nairobi and met up our new guide, Eustace. He drove us to the Masaii Mara where we spent 3 nights in a tented camp on the banks of the Mara River. We spent 3 days game viewing and we also did a hot air balloon. Eustace was an excellent guide and a great companion. We saw a cheetah, 4 male (brothers) lions at a hippo carcass on the Mara River and we actually saw 2 leopards mate!
Eustace then drove us to the Tanzania border where we met our new guide, Chotara. I quickly realized what an amazing guide CHotara was and this was further confirmed when one the host at one of our lodges told me he was the best there was! We did several games drives in the North and South Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater, then Lake Manyara and Lake Burunge. We saw lions on 2 wildebeest kills, cheetahs on the gunt and lions mating! We drove out in the Serengeti to see the massive herds of wildebeest and zebras as part of the great migration. Chotara pointed out that you knew it was good when all the guides were taking pictures!
This was an absolutely fantastic trip and Noah did a great job setting everything up. Our lodging was excellent and I was amazed at the overall quality of the food. Truly excellent! But the real reason I would recommend using Wildebeest Safaris is the quality of the guides. All 3 guides we had were off the charts good.
