Flexible and professional
5/5

- Really easy to communicate prior the trip (WhatsApp, e-mail etc)
- Great and professional safari guides - and the best addition is that they also have common dinner with you in the evenings and chat about Tanzania, history, politics, nature etc.
- Normal price compared to other safari providers
- Tasty food
- Good cars
- Flexible - if you decide during the trip that you'd like to extend the safari for more days, all is possible

About: Safarihub
Hakuna Matata!
5/5

It took me a while to write this as I was busy travelling elsewhere after my safari trip. My contact with Safarihub was first made in February 2018. Usually we arrange our own itinerary and etc but since this would be our very first safari as well as trip to Africa , we decided to contact few operators to arrange the trip after we made up our mind that we gonna do our first safari (perhaps the only one) in Serengeti (bucket list item) last June 2018.

Not only Safarihub was among the fastest who reached us via email but I was pleased with them (especially Vummy) who helped to clarify everything be it from vaccinations, visa and etc (her patience and attention to even the smallest of details were outstanding compared to others who just want to close the deal asap). FYI, I had like an over 80 plus email correspondence with Vummy! Talk about me being a perfectionist and constant worrier! But I glad to have all details mapped out because the moment we settled for the deposit payment, I hardly in contact with Vummy up until the moment we managed to convince another couple (my wife’s boss actually with the wife) to join us. Having dealt with Vummy before, “hakuna matata” (no problem).

I would like to say the service is excellent be it from airport transfer, accommodation, halal food arrangement, vehicle, game drive throughout the safari. Anthony, our safari guide also very informative and very patience person. We managed to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo) in the wild during the entire trip (exception for rhinoceros as we saw them in the Ngorongoro conservation area) and we truly appreciate seeing them out in their own habitat. Our last day in Tarangire, Anthony with the help of fellow guides managed to spot three cheetahs (wow they are hard to spot even at the location itself) and that truly made our day.

We did our safari mid June but only saw a portion of the migration (well you win some, you lose some) and also opted for the Serengeti balloon trip, another highlight of the trip where we saw the endless Serengeti. Honestly speaking, safari in Serengeti for me is at another level compared to our previous trips (sunset in Santorini, watching northern light under the cold night in Tromso, husky safari in Alta City, whale watching in Husavik, Iceland road trip and etc).

No doubt there are some hiccups (very minor as there is no such thing as perfection) but it is more like suggestions to improve their services/offerings which I will glad to convey to the management directly. But like i said, nothing major.

To Vummy, her supervisor Victoria (who took the effort to call me in London to clear the air on some negative comment on them) our driver/guide Anthony, we cannot thank you enough to give us a memorable safari trip. I wish you the best in all your undertakings.

To others, if you are going for safari in Africa especially for the very first time, please have a chat with Safarihub and rest assured, you are well taken care of. On Africa, to say we like it is an understatement. We love it and intend to do another safari trip in other African countries in the future, in shaa Allah.

Excellent trip to Akagera national park, Rwanda with Frank
5/5

Frank did an excellent job, taking us on this tour of Akagera National Park. He drove us there from Kigali, then we stayed in the game lodge, then the next day we did a day long game ride, and then drove back to Kigali. Frank was excellent in everything. He had a lot of information about the history of the park, what kinds of animals are in there, and other sights along the way. The drive back and forth was very comfortable - he had a great car that was perfect for the 4 adults and the 2 small children we had with us. Once we got to the park, he had great advice on how to go about the game ride, to maximize the chances of seeing all kinds of animals. He was able to show us most of the big 5 animals, even though of course there's no guarantee you'll see them. The adults and especially the 2 small children (ages 3 and 5) loved the full experience. We will definitely recommend Frank to everyone who is visiting Rwanda, and we will definitely go on safari with him again on our next trip!

Great experience
5/5

I went on a tour with Golden Rwanda completely by chance as I was attending a conference in Rwanda and a fellow conference attendee invited me to join her. She was far more prepared than I was, and had researched various tour operators thoroughly. I was very happy with her choice. Golden Rwanda Safaris is a small local company, but they do tours all over Rwanda and the surrounding countries. We ended up staying in Rwanda, spending a 1.5 days in Akagera national Park, (where we saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, impalas, giraffes, zebras, baboons, buffalo, elephants, warthogs etc). Seeing lions was theoretically the most exciting because they were introduced in the past few years from South Africa, but I prefer seeing the colorful animals (zebras, giraffes) and the more active ones (baffoons & impalas).

We had two separate guides for the two halves of our trip (Frank and Fabrice) and both were terrific, both on the trip logistics and also the wildlife. I enjoyed chatting with them and learning about their stories and Rwanda as much as I enjoyed the wildlife.

Note on gorillas: I was too stingy to pay $1500 for the gorilla permit in Rwanda, too scared to explore going to Congo, and permits were all gone in Uganda ($600) because I was literally looking for them the same week. However, the company arranges gorilla treks in all 3 countries and they assured me that Congo was safe for tourists. In the end, I'm very happy with the company and my trip :)

Daylong safari in East Rwanda + week of business in Kigali
5/5

Frank and his team are dedicated, knowledgeable safari operators and city drivers.

We were given a comprehensive and laid-back safari tour, going this way and that, and thanks to Frank’s keen eye we spotted some rare sightings and were able to get up close and personal! Awesome!

We were in Kigali on business and after our one day off (our safari), we enlisted Golden Rwanda Safaris as our drivers for the remainder of our business trips all over the city. They know Kigali perfectly and are super easy-going.

Thanks to them we had a fantastic and successful trip to Rwanda.

Thanks so much!

Fantastic Tour
5/5

Tony is a great tour guide, and just a really nice person in general. He's passionate about Rwanda and Kigali, and we learned so much while having a great time and seeing the best that the city has to offer.
