Caren was simple to communicate with during the entire process, and she took initiative in creating a fantastic 5-day safari package for us. The type of food and accommodations were outstanding quality. Our guide was not just the most proficient driver but also has extensive knowledge of Kenya's animals. Overall, it was a five-star trip, and I would suggest the company to everyone!

Great tour with Safari Vacations
Safari Vacations organized a great tour for us. We had a few days in which we needed to get from Kigali, Rwanda to Mbarara, Uganda and wanted to see mountain gorillas and safari animals in the process. Safari Vacations organized everything for us. They picked us up in Kigali, organized gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest, safari drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a river cruise, and drop off in Mbarara. Our guides were Alex and Benson and they were great. We had some car trouble, but they worked tirelessly to arrange other transport to get us to where we needed to go when we needed to be there. We saw gorillas, elephants, hippos, lions, cape buffalo, bush buck, and many more animals. It was great, easy, and I highly recommend.

We contacted Julius Tact Safaris during peak holiday season to organize a safari only 7 weeks in advance. We provided an outline of an itinerary we thought might work. Julius Tact Safaris gave the benefits/disadvantages of the provided itinerary as well as several other itineraries similar in spirit to the original one (both upmarket & downmarket). All of the correspondence was efficient and over email.
Unforgettable experience: 5 days in late Feb, Big 5 in 24hrs!

Unfortunately we got what we feel was a slight downgrade toward the end of the safari trip into a less suitable vehicle, but I’m still eating this as 5 stars due to Edward’s contribution!

Awesome experience and great service from everyone
It was the best Safari Experience ever, the company was always attentive to our needs. We had to change our plans and ended up staying an additional night, they were the best at making all the changes including transportation back to Joburg!

Eddy is a Patient, Easy Going, Super Knowledgeable, and a Great Driver
I went to Uganda as a solo female traveller from Ireland in April 2024.
Eddy picked me up directly from the airport and was with me throughout the whole experience.
I did the gorrilas, chimps and a community tour. All of which I highly recommend. Don’t miss the community tour I learned so much about local traditions and businesses and even got to meet a traditional healer which was a real once in a lifetime experience.
The trip is excellent value when you consider the cost of the permits which go into conservation and to be honest still great value. When you go to the parks and meet the rangers and guides, they are all so well educated and trained and the animals are so well looked after it’s the only way we can contribute to the great work they are doing.
The food, and accommodation were way beyond my expectations. I highly recommend going local. I never got sick, the quality of the food and fresh fruit and juice etc is so high I actually think I’ve added years to my life as a result of this trip.
Uganda is a hidden treasure, everyone is so nice, the land is so green and fertile. I’ve travelled to African countries before and been on safari, but Uganda was truly unique, the African jungle and its abundance of primates is truly magical.
I never felt unsafe at any stage, nobody bothered me and I didn’t lose any possessions or have any issues. Uganda is definitely a place that a female solo traveller can go and feel comfortable.
