The safari tour was exciting ,exceptional customer service, the drive to the park was smooth and safe. Time management was excellent from pick up point throughout the tour to drop off point.
My most memorable moment was when I saw Waterbuck family

A visit to the park in the only capital city in the world
5/5

Samsons Safaris communication is top notch and i was able to inquire and call at certain intervals to find out more about the trip and the staff were calm, professional and knowledgable in all details of the trip.
The trip time was well organised and the staff at samsons safaris were there before time and they had sanitizers and free masks for us and douring the tour i was given a binoculars to enable me see far.
The guide for the day was Mr David and he made sure that we got to see the lions, buffaloes, birds, giraffe, zebra and rhinos,he was not in a hurry and knew perfectly well where to find the animals.
The trip exceeded my expectations and would definately recommend Samsons Safaris for any trip in future.

Amazing
5/5

Perfectly planned. The guide Freddy was great. He really made the most of our trip. Young, friendly, funny and he knew everything well. Just perfect. He went out of his way to give us an incredible experience and he did it. Dullah's food was amazing. Unbelievable what he has cooked with the few resources. Extremely tasty, versatile and more than enough. We loved both of them. It was much better than we imagined and we are sad that it is already over. We would do it again anytime and recommend it to anyone!

Once in a Lifetime Experience
5/5

We just got back from a week long budget safari in the northern circuit of Tanzania. We had an incredible time and we are grateful to Stacy and her team at Duma Explorer. It was a pleasure planning our trip with Stacy. She was always available whether by email or phone to discuss plans for our trip.

Our guide Isack MsuyaI was awesome! Besides for having an incredible eye for game¸ he was very professional and responsible. There was a lot of logistics that went into our trip and Isack was on top of it and provided a smooth experience. As a whole we felt that all of Duma’s employees that we came in contact with were professional and took great care to make sure our trip was special.

On our las day¸ our flight was cancelled. We were supposed to leave the Serengeti at 2:45 pm but had to leave 10:30 am. That meant we were going to be stuck at JRO for close to 12 hours. Before I could even reach out to the office to discuss other options¸ Isack got a message that they already arranged to have a guide meet us at the airport when we arrived and take us to Arusha National Park. They also arranged for us to have a walking safari at the park which turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip.

I highly recommend Duma Explorer and if we ever make it back to Tanzania I will for sure be using them again.

My tour operator was knowledgable, timely and attentative to our needs.
5/5

Our safari and tour of East Africa was amazing. It was our first time to Kenya and Tanzania. Our tour operator did not disappoint. The itinerary was well planned and no detail left to chance. We enjoyed every second of our time in Africa. Our tour operator paid attention to what I wanted for this trip. He went above and beyond my expectations as it was an adventure to celebrate my 50th birthday. From the game drives to the beautiful hotels to the amazaing excursions, we were blown away by his professionalism and planning. We had an amazing time. I can't wait to visit the beautiful beaches of the Swahili Coast again.

Safari and Kilimanjaro
5/5

Despite the current corona pandemic, we were able to start our trip to Tanzania. At the airport we were warmly welcomed by our two guides, Freddy and Yithzack. First we went on a one-week safari, we started in Tarangire National Park, drove on to the Serengeti, made a stop at the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara on the way back.
The English of the two guides was very good, we learned a lot about the wildlife, nature, culture and people in Tanzania and even a little bit of Swahili ;-)
After the safari we climbed successfully Kilimanjaro via the Mawenzi route within seven days. It was a unique experience for us to hike through the different vegetation zones of the region.
The two of us had a very experienced and professional crew with porters, a cook and two mountain guides. Great attention was paid to safety and hygiene at all times, which is why we can highly recommend a trip to Tanzania at the moment.

Unforgettable experience and a fantastic service from Mama Savana
5/5

Took me few months to write the review and I can say that the excitement about our 10-day safari experience with Mama Savana are still very vivid in my mind. I have never revisit the photos of a holiday so many times as I've done with the ones I took while in Tanzania. This was not our first safari destination and our awe was not because it was the first time we've seen fantastic wildlife or landscape. Everything was just amazing, the tented camps, the lodges, the drives, the food, Alex from Mama Savana was great in organising everything to fit what we wanted to do and very quick to respond and act when needed. He even helped us with aspects of our holiday in Zanzibar before we started the safari. Joseph was a fantastic safari driver and the Osinon tented camp was the best of the many we experienced. Mama Savana staff are all very polite, reliable and professional, I highly recommend booking with them. After flying from Zanzibar to Arusha in a small plane with fantastic views of the Kilimanjaro, Joseph was waiting for us at the airport and took us to meet Alex at the nearby Coffee Lodge. We then started our drive to Tarangire National Park, where the majestic baobab trees are a particular feature of the landscape and where you'll see a lot of elephants. The Sangaiwe Tented Lodge was great and we enjoyed the views from the lodge (although we really spent pretty much all daylight hours in safari drive, so didn't quite enjoy the pool and other facilities). Our next stop was Lake Manyara National Park, with a very different type of landscape and vegetation, and the hot spring, which was interesting to see. As it had rained a lot in previous days, Lake Manyara was quite deep and we didn't see the large gatherings of flamingos there and some of the roads around the lake were flooded. Yet, a very interesting park, I think it was the only place where we saw Sykes monkeys. From there we went to Lake Eyasi where we spent the morning with the Hadzabe tribe following them on a hunt, seeing how they cook and live. It was a genuine experience as that day they were very successful in their bow and arrow hunting. We then visited the 'blacksmiths', a primitive forge where they were melting down old padlocks and using the metal to make arrow heads (using a nail and a hammer!), ornaments and other stuff. We then went to visit the house of a Toga family, again, very genuine experience as we found out that that the local guide's sister was one of the (many) wives of the house we visited! From there we headed to the fabulous Serengeti National Park. Spectacular does not do it justice. You need to go there to appreciate the size of the park (no wonder Serengeti means endless plains in the Masai language!) and the vast numbers of animals. On arrival at dusk at Osinon Tented Camps we had an excellent dinner under the stars and really enjoyed the whole of our time at that camp. Great food, great staff, fantastic location. From central Serengeti, we went to the Ndutu area, which was my favourite really. In February, the wildebeest migration just bring an amazing number of animals, all with their calves, and you can see them even by the road, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, gazelles, hyenas, birds of all sorts... and then there are the tree climbing lions, lions mating and lions with cubs, and cheetahs, leopards and more... unforgettable! The Heritage Camp was really nice. Our last safari day was in the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater... wow, what scenery! Our stay at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge was great…lovely property will all the trimmings. Brilliant rooms and settings, very good service and there we finally had time to go for a swim in the pool, so nice!

Thanks to everyone at Mama Savana and sorry this review was posted late. I do hope you are starting to get some tourists back as you probably had such quiet times due to the Covid pandemic. I'm sure you clients will have a brilliant experience and be as pleased with your services as we were.
