Excellent two nights Safari in Amboseli National Reserve
5/5

We went to Amboseli with Balu Travel to finish our time in East Africa. Communication was excellent. They were willing to pick us up at the border town of Namanga and enter Amboseli from the west side. Our driver Jeremy was good, helpful and he found all the animals and birds to photograph. He knew his way around the park. The four wheel drive vehicle was reliable and what was needed on the rough and wet tracks. He was on time meeting us initially and for each drive. The was great and a fantastic end to our holiday. I recommend you considering Balu Travel for your safari.

Excellent, Safari captains are worthy to be highlighted.
5/5

We enjoyed the Entire safari with Axis Safari for 3days with the service and hospitality of the team, notably Johnny Jackson and Kevin were awesome. They made extra efforts to show us the male lion’s den, which was a life time experience. They were on time, were polite and patient to our requests.

One note on the Hotel where we stayed, Jambo Mara Camp was not upto the mark as the basic requirements of a restaurant (tea or coffee) was not available in the evening time as we wanted to get us refreshed. Food options were minimum in the restaurant. No Internet service in cottages which is really an inconvenience. WiFi which is available in the restaurant and reception area were very slow, that should be improved. However the rating is not reduced to Axis Safari for this reason because the camp was chosen by us. Other than above points, camp is really nIce in ambience.

Personalised itinerary, unique experiences, and opportunity to escape the crowds.
5/5

Right from the start Roko and Miranda were great. They got back to us very quickly with a proposed itinerary for our safari, that genuinely took account of our requests and offered a personalised schedule that met our needs and was budget friendly.

We met up with Roko the night before our trip and on the way out of Arusha to pick last minute supplies. Ephata and Maneno our guide and cook were fantastic, sharing a wealth of knowledge on the road, and providing very fulsome and tasty meals that accommodated my lactose intolerance. We camped at Ngorongoro and in the Serengeti and got lucky escaping the crowds - in part due to the campsite selection they made for us and in part because we visited just before the start of the season.

We ended in Rokos's guest house in Lake Natron for 2 nights where we got to visit the Engare Sero hominid foot prints and swim in a warm natural pool both of which are well worth a visit.

While we did have a few mechanical issues on the road and muddy conditions meant we did get stuck at one point, getting out of the serengeti and on to Lake Natron, Ephata and Maneno did a great job at getting us on our way and back to base safely.

Highly recommend
5/5

Great tour and great guide!
Our guide Evans was really professional and took us to many spots to see wildlife.
And also he knew animals a lot and had an amazing driving technique.
The camping accommodation was ensuite and had a big bed so I could relax.

Elvis is well presentable, friendly and communicates well with passengers.
He goes beyond what is expected. He patiently assisted an elderly passenger.
