Reliable and on time
This was a trip of a lifetime. Daniel was always on time, and he kept on the schedule we agreed on. He and the driver picked me up at the airport and dropped me of at the airport. I stayed at Lalibela for 2 nights. The schedule was to see the churches. Daniel walked me thru all the ways that connect all the churches in the mountains. I had many questions for the priests so Daniel would translate all of the priests' answers on the most proper manner. Excellent service, Really flexible and experienced tour Guides
Well planned Itinerary that fits our budget and covers almost all the must visit spots. Really flexible enough to do minor changes up to our will without any exta money.
Excellent Hotels or resort selections. They have even provided a free upgrade to one higher priced resort as the originally booked hotel was affected by rain.
They have provided neat and comfortable vehicles which easily take us through all terrains.
Last but not the least; the tour guides who is our game drivers, they are the best. They know where to find the animals in every national parks and will take us there safely while explaining everything about the species.
Simply, I would recommend Laxa Trails Safaris to anyone who is wishing to visit Kenya

An extremely knowledgable and capable professional
We worked with Daniel as part of a larger professional photography project, with very exacting requirements, oftentimes extremely demanding both in terms of the people we needed to work with as well as the conditions, timings etc. Daniel was able to make everything work, overcoming any challenges which arose during the project and providing quick solutions. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Daniel, I would recommend his services to everyone, and even more so to any demanding professional photographer visiting Lalibela and Ethiopia in general. I am personally looking forward to working with Daniel again soon.

Matthys our tour arranger organised for us a fabulous holiday which was perfect for us. The safari was worth every penny we saw so much and experienced 2 safari parks, Both lodges and game drives different. Inyati we saw a lot of game and thanks to the excellent guides saw a lot of wild life up close. Hamiltons had more game in amongst Lodges but couldnt get close out on drive, But saw more birds. so a good combination. we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Fast response, friendly staff, feel safe as a solo traveler
Rose and team were always helpful during my entire journey as a solo traveler - very quick response (not a single minute) and they always tried to provide a satisfactory solution when there was anything unclear… I learned that communication is the key when doing safari tour especially as you might be with people from
different tour providers in a vehicle, at first it was confusing but Defender team would guide you along the way very well!

Excellent service, professional driver, memorable experience
Did a 5-day budget safari with Robin as our driver - he is very professional and friendly, always making sure we are safe and having a good time. During the tour he is flexible if you want to see specific animals or places and goes out of the way to make sure you have a memorable experience. 100% recommended!
As far as the tour itself, we got picked up from the hotel at the time we were indicated, went to the office to make the remaining payments and then took off to Masai Mara. We paid the remaining of the tour in cash (USD) which I would recommend to avoid any exchange rate charge. We slept the first 2 nights in luxury tents where food is provided. All tents have private bathrooms with hot water and comfy beds. These tents have guards that look after any animal that might be around the area. The remaining 2 nights were in hotels that also have private bathrooms and comfy beds. All food was provided - overall very tasty but can be a bit repetitive and restricted in the options you might have. Buying a few snacks along the way will be enough.
Moneywise, there are no hidden fees (all food, park fees, etc. is included). We spent some money in snacks and tips that are always appreciated. We did go to the optional Masai Village tour that is an extra 20 usd per person which I would recommend to learn about their culture and daily life.
By taking the budget tour you will have all your basic needs fully covered and in a comfortable way, which I would recommend if you are looking for some adventure. I would 100% recommend this trip.

Fantastic birds found by a guide who knows Kenyan birds like the back of his hand
Joseph took me on a phenomenal trip to Mount Kenya and Samburu, areas which he knows amazingly well. I saw many birds and animals that I would not have been able to had it not been for Joseph's excellent abilities.
