Excellent customised service
We worked with Martin at Kingfisher to plan and book our customised tour /itinerary and then on the ground in Botswana, Pilot Manga was our tour leader and safari guide. Martin is very knowledgeable about Botswana having spent several years there and was able to hit just the right spot for us in terms of both luxury and adventure. He was always responsive and worked through all of our questions patiently and gave us good information and advice throughout.
On the ground, Pilot was absolutely brilliant. He one of Botswana's great guides (Every camp we were at, the staff in the camp knew/had heard about Pilot.) He was able to make our trip an absolute delight with his incredible intuition and tracking skills in the bush. We had fantastic sightings and opportunities to watch the behaviours of several of the Big 5 at close quarters and a lot of this we owe to Pilot's great skills. But more critically, Pilot is a humble individual despite his enormous abilities and his sense of humor and storytelling kept us regaled throughout our 13 day trip.
As and when we plan our next Botswana trip , we will reach out to Kingfisher Safaris again.

Got lost looking for the short cut to Northern Serengeti but the experience was one of a kind
Actual vs. Expectation: We were promised that we'll be able to witness the great wildebeest migration from Serengeti to Maasai Mara but it never happened as we got lost looking for "that short cut" or what our driver calls "Wazu" to Northern Serengeti. However, it was a unique experience. We were able to see outlandish landscapes such as semi-barren grazing lands dotted with tree-tall termite hills. We also had a chance to do off-roading on a dry river bed. We were also able to have more interaction with the Maasai people. Best part of our being lost was our overnight stay in a Maasai Boma near the Kenyan border. Through that, we were able experience spontaneous Maasai hospitality first hand (which I prefer versus the relatively commercialized/semi-rehearsed Maasai Boma tour near Ngorongoro). We also had an unplanned reroute around scenic Lake Natron where we saw thousands of pink flamingoes. In my opinion, all these were good comprises for not being able to see the great migration.
Service: John's cooking is really superb. I don't normally like spaghetti but his take was phenomenal that I had a second round. His beef recipe was also A+. On the other hand, despite our mishaps during Day 1, I think our lead driver-guide Mike was able to handle the situation professionally. The rest of the safari crew was also very supportive. They were quick in setting camp and in attending to our every need.
Rating: I could have given a "5" if we were able to follow the original itinerary and was able to witness the great migration. I would say planning, prior research and coordination with authorities especially when taking unconventional safari routes are areas for improvement. Still, service was great and I can only say positive things about the professionalism that we experienced from the safari crew.

An incredible and amazing experience for life!!!!
It was an amazing experience with the animals in the parks. The guides from Kenya Walking were nice and try to give us the best time in the tour. The cost x benefit of the tour was very good and we recommend for everybody that wants to visit Kenya!!!! Thanks Otieno for everything!!!

Fantastic Mikumi trip
We spent 3 unforgettable days. Everything about our trip to Mikumi was much better than I expected. First of all our guide Younus who has accompanied us was excellent. Tan swiss lodge which we stayed 2 nights was very comfartable and nice. Also Usambra expeditions helped me to buy the ferry tickets to Zanzibar, which was really a difficult thing for me .

Increble experience with Axis Safari
We have just returned from Kenya with incredible safari experience in 6 full days. First, Axis safari quickly responded our questions and arranged private itinerary according to our request. From pick up to drop off everything was in schedule. It was very cost effective. Our guide Dennis was awesome. He did his best to show big fives. Amazing!!
Booking the Safari to Mikumi with Gombe and the team was the best decision we made in this vacation! Our Safari trip was amazing and exciting all the time! We stayed at a good and comfortable cottage and inside the park near of the animals. We could hear some of them in the night from our room ... it was so amazing!
Joshua was very attentive with us since the first contact until the day before the trip! He answered us very quickly with all informations we needed.
To complete our wonderful experience with Gombe, Charles Msengi was the best guide / driver that we could asked for! He was so kind and nice with us all the time. He explained everything he knows about the animals and tried what he could to put us in the best view of the animal even the most hidden ones! He knows where all animals are and woke up early to see the lions hunting in the morning before the sunshine! Everything was incredible and we recommend them to your trip!
