A great visit!
Overall rating
5/5

We lucked out with the early Spring weather and a full moon, even a bit of smoke to glorify the dawn ride sunrises; and the Tydon safari crew were enthusiastic and helpful to a T.... Bouquets to Liesl for her off-roading and the pile of hyena cubs! We got up close with so many species! Thank you.

Budget safari to Masai Mara
5/5

While our safari was on a budget, the experience was invaluable! The wildlife and the migration during this time of year were truly breathtaking and the customer service of both the driver and the cook (George and George!) were outstanding. We were so fortunate to have a private van and our driver George was knowledgeable, provided us with great views, and even helped other tour groups that were stuck in the mud (we never got stuck - George was clearly an experienced pro).

Compass Odyssey gave us an awesome experience and we had no worries about arrangements.
5/5

Darren & Kate we very helpful throughout the whole planning stage and when it came time for our trip. Senalala in Greater Kruger was a faboulos place with top notch guides. All the transports and guides were very informative and friendly. Safaris in Kruger and Chobe gave you pretty much an up front and center seat for the greatest wild animal show you’ll ever see. Everybody should go to Africa at least once in their life time.

Amazing experience with great friendly guides, accommodation, food
5/5

Ask for David as safari guide. He is awesome, funny, and very knowledgeable. Also ask for Action as a chef. He made killer food for us every meal! Geofrey was also fantastic with email communication throughout the whole process.

David is the Lion King!!!!- he made us count more than 100+ lions in the wild. amazing!

An unforgetable experience with a guide/ driver with excellent knowledge about the nature.
5/5

We went to the Manyara park, the Ngorongoro crater and the Tarangiri park in 3 days.
We had a great guide/ driver; Loi. His knowledge about the nature and surroundings in the parks was incredible. He explained a lot of things without us having to ask. And if he didn’t know the answer, he looked it up in the book with all the species in it. He anticipated our wishes about when to stop. And, important to me; he had a great sense of humor!
He is also a very defensive driver, so really ‘pole pole’!
The owners are very friendly and they are taking good care of the clients. The communication, oral and written was clear and informative. I didn’t know what to expect, but I felt comfortable with this treatment.
The tours itself were impressive, beautiful birds to watch and wonderful views. We’ve seen the ‘big five’. The lodges were nicely picked, especially the place where we started from in Arusha and the one with tents was awesome.
I’d love to come again some day.
Keep up your splendid work!

About: Timbuktu
A five star company and service; we'll be back!
5/5

When planning our family safari we were recommended to Timbuktu to help us through the mass of offering on the market. We were looking for something special where the landscape and wildlife were the stars of the show. Timbuktu were able to suggest and put together a stunning selection of small camps in Zambia including Nsolo, Kakuli and Changwe River Camp.
Our memories will last a lifetime particularly the excitement of our long experienced guide when we spotted an aardvark on our last night drive!
Throughout the trip Timbuktu expertly handled the logistics to make what seemed like a daunting prospect an absolute breeze.

Simply Stunning Serengeti Safari!
5/5

The trip was brilliantly organised by Alym and clearly communicated at all times in the lead up to the trip. He provided good advice on the itinerary and how long to stay in each location etc, providing a balance of accommodations to perfectly suit our request and requirements. He even "arranged" for 3 leopard sightings, not to mention an unforgettable lion pride with cubs on simba rocks.
Our guide, Frank, was faultless and must be credited for his animal sightings (spotted a rhino with his bare eyes at about a kilometre distance!), manners and all round performance.
The overall safari and trip to Zanzibar was pretty much faultless and we would definitely recommend East Africa Wild to others - if we go again we will be specifically requesting Frank as our guide.

Perfect introduction to Kenya
5/5

Me and my gf had an amazing time, saw all the big 5 and a lot more. Our guide Isaac was friendly and always happy to help.

the accommodation at the maasi mara fitted the experience perfectly and situated within walking distance of a Maasi camp, which was interested but as a warning if you visit the camp they will pressure you into buying things. But that's just the camp not Axis.

All in all the entire trip was amazing and was truly a highlight of our trip
