Everyone I've met calls this their favorite park, but I was disappointed by my experience. We arrived at the gates at the scheduled opening time, but the staff showed up over an hour late. By the time we made it to the river tour it was too late in the day for many of the animals to be active. The staff was also rude to our driver when our family asked him to accompany us for lunch at the lodge. However, the views of the falls were spectacular and the animals are big.

Beautiful scenery, the desert elephant are a must find and the local culture makes this a great destination for the adventurous.

In the dry season, a great park to see a lot of elephant. Wonderful bird life on the river, and not very densely populated by game.

Animals are difficult to spot here but the scenery makes up for that as well as the nearby hotspings.

Kenya's great for an organised safari. If you are self-driving Southern Africa is much cheaper and easier, as are Uganda and Rwanda.

We went to see the chimps, but on the day we visited, it was raining, and they mainly stayed high in the canopy. It would be good to plan a few days in this area to be sure to get to see them.

Review about Chobe National Park by A.Meyer
Overall rating
3/5

After spending the majority of our time in Moremi, I think we were too spoilt. Chobe has the quintessential safari theme going with the lodges and endless landrovers parading through the park. I was somewhat dissipointed in seeing a single lion with a kill surrounded by 7 vehicles with people leaning out making lots of noise. It felt more like a theme park than a national park. But that is just my opinion. We did see wonderful wildlife and incredible birds. I would not Not go back there, but I don't think it would be my first choice.
