Having been to Tanzania once before with my boyfriend in 2021, but in the southern part (Mikumi, Ruaha & Selous), it was clear to us that we had to return one day.
And so we got in touch with Ineke from rewildaway. She responded to our wishes and made us a great offer for our dream trip 2.0. We decided to add a few days in Kenya after Tanzania, which we were also able to book directly through rewildaway.
The highlights of the trip.
- Serengeti: Huge herds of animals, an incredible number of big cats and endless expanses. The Serengeti enchanted us and we already know that we will be back.
- Ngorongoro: The landscape of the crater is unique - coupled with the variety of animals, for me it is probably THE most beautiful park I have ever visited. (And there were a lot of them.)
- Masai Mara: We had two full days in the Mara, and our guide made it possible for us to see baby lions, baby cheetahs and many other enchanting animals.
The choice of accommodation was excellent. It was clean, the food was excellent and the beds were comfortable. Everything you need! You don't really stay long in the accommodation on a trip like this. The days start very early and usually end when it's dark. You are usually so tired from the events of the day that you just look forward to going to bed.
I would particularly like to emphasise the warmth of EVERYONE. Starting with Jacki & Ineke, through the guides Hassan & Jackson, to all the staff in the selected lodges.
You are doing a great job! And we are already looking forward to our next trip with you.

There can be no better tour operator for Wild life Safari
From the very moment we found Meru's 5 day wildbeest group safari programme, we didn't have to look behind. The programme seemed to be tailor made and affordable. Our inquiry got immediate resopnse from Meru, and Jerome contacted us as our tour consultant. He replied to all queries. He booked our bus tickets from Arusha to Dar es Salam. He told us that we would be picked up from the Kilimanjaro airport at midnight of 16/08 and would arrange for accommodation without any cost and the promise was kept. We were also promised that Meru would make arrangement for our accommodation for the night of the last day of the safari and would transfer us to the bus boarding point. They kept it. As such whatever was told or promised, all were kept, may be more.
Our tour guide Dunhil was excellent. The way he steered us all over the forests of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro was amazing. We saw everything possible. We saw lions skinning there prey, a buffalo. We saw lions drinking water from a roadside hole. He manouvered his vehicle all the way to show the famous and rare wildbeest migration, crossing the Mara river. Dunhil as a person was the best, jovial, witty and smiling.
Our chef Giodan requires special mention. He cooked nice. But his way of serving food and drinks without being tired eas commendable. He also extened all sorts of help to make the tour the best.
We selected Meru as our operator seems to be the best decision we made. And this safari would be lifelong memorable.

Our trip from start to finish was one of the most amazing and unforgettable experiences of my life and the whole trip was 100% enhanced by our guide Paul who was helpful, gave is loads of amazing info about everything we saw and showed us lots of interesting things about the work that is done by both himself and the locals in the area. Kubwa Five Safaris went out of their way to ensure that my son and I had an experience of a lifetime. From the beginning, they were in regular contact with us as the safari was carefully planned. They were flexible and accommodating. Our trip took us through Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. As we entered each country we were paired with an expert guide for that location, who made certain we enjoyed each day of our vacation. The guides shared their knowledge of the animals, geography, and culture of the area and welcomed our questions. In addition to viewing animals, we were also able to visit cultural centers, a museum, and an orphanage/school. We explored on foot, bike, boat, hot air balloon, and safari vehicle. We felt safe and confident in our guides' driving skills as they navigated the rough roads. Fantastic time in Amboselli
Edwin, who came to pick us up, explained the details of the tour politely and calmly so we participated at ease. He found many animals for us, but the most memorable thing was that, even though we were already on our way home, he suddenly made a U-turn and took us to see the cheetahs. Thank you so much, Edwin
Excellent & knowledgeable
This was our first time to be served by Bonfire and i would love to be served again by Bonfire. Our driver Jimnah(sp) managed our time and we had a tour the very day we checked in. We had 1st dinner & really enjoyed the good service from the Emayian Luxury Camp staff. Their hospitality from welcoming Masai worriers was super.
Our driver who was multitasking as pilot and tour guides was really good. He made sure that we even featured ostrich eggs Congratulation to Jimnah.

Just visit Serengeti and Ngorongoro
The camping experience was incredible! Zebras, bushpigs and Elephants and in Ngorongoro camping area and Buffalos, babuin and many more in Serengeti! You have to start the safari very early to see lions etc otherwise they are sleeping under the trees.

Amazing Kilimanjaro trip, experience of a lifetime!
If you are thinking about hiking Kilimanjaro, do it and please ask for Imran and his team! We took the 8-day Kilimanjaro package with ABC Safaris and the experience was truly a trip of a lifetime. Imran and his team really took care of everything and made us feel like family by the end of it. Every detail of the trip was carefully thought out and everything from the tents to the food to the guides exceeded our expectations. The tents were very clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious, with different types of rice, meats and vegetables, as well as a soup course every night. The trip itself was extremely well-organized and the guides really took care of us; they were funny, informative, and great company for the hike. During the expedition, a few of us got sick from the altitude, but Imran checked in with us regularly, gave us medicine, offered to help us carry our daypacks, and altered the schedule to make sure we were feeling okay and able to make the hike. The assistant guide E-Z carried my backpack the whole way up on summit night and kept encouraging me because I was having a difficult time with the altitude. In the end we were able to safely and successfully summit, all thanks to Imran's team. We could not have finished the hike without their help and encouragement. The entire trip was amazing and I could not have asked for a better team. I am still missing the team and the time we had there. I would highly recommend ABC Safaris and Imran's team for anyone who wants an unforgettable Kilimanjaro experience.
