Our group had a first class safari experience with a great guide, lodgings and scenery.
5/5

Myself and two friends went on a two day safari to the Tarangire Park and Ngorongoro Crater and had a wonderful experience. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and we were able to see the big 5 in our two day trip. We expected tent accommodations for the overnight and were surprised by our hotel which was a 5 star hotel by american standards. The hotel was included in the safari price. I highly recommend this company which made our group feel right at home at the Honey Badger Lodge.

An exceptional safari experience, with an outstanding guide.
5/5

We have just enjoyed a Wild Wings 2night/3day Kruger safari - and what an incredible time it was! As someone who has enjoyed previous safaris in Zambia, Botswana and Tanzania, I feel well qualified to comment on our experience. Every aspect, from the initial responses to our enquiries, through to the logistics and the transfers from Johannesburg to Kruger, the accommodation (at Skukusa), the catering arrangements, and of course the safari itself was excellent. But what made it exceptional, was the knowledge and expertise of our guide, Simon. I say 'guide', but he was also our driver and chef! His wildlife knowledge (birds, mammals, reptiles...) was incredible, and certainly I have no hesitation in saying that he was the best game guide (by some margin) that I have experienced in my 4 safaris. And he never switched off! Even on the journey back to Johannesburg, he was pointing out birds that we passed.

You can't judge the success of a safari trip solely by the wildlife encounters that you have , or whether you manage to see the Big Five; but even by that measure, our experience of Wild Wings was exceptional. Simon is courteous and considerate to other game viewers too - be they other safari guides or just members of the public who have turned up in their own vehicles...and asking what it is that we're looking at. By the way, you can self-drive in Kruger, but why would you want to? The place is vast, and without Simon's skills we would have seen very little. Yes, he is connected in to a number of other game guides who share their finds, so it does increase the likelihood of good interactions; but he has an incredible eye and ear for spotting the smallest movement, the faintest of sounds that can lead to a fantastic encounter. And as I said, he operates with courtesy and consideration to other users of the park, and most importantly to the wildlife.

In summary, the best endorsement that I can give is to say that if (when!) we return to Kruger, we will not be looking anywhere else: Wild Wings Safaris will be our first port of call.

Awesome Wildlife Adventure
5/5

We booked the 3-days Safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Park. Peter did a great Job in taking care of the organization of the trip. Everything worked out very well. The driver/guide was our hawk eye to spot all the different creatures in the wild. That's how we got lucky enough to see the Big 5 and a large number of other species! The car was very comfortable and accomodations were excellent (both Rhino lodge as well as the Katikati luxury tented camp). I can recommend this tour to everyone who wants to experience real wildlife! We had an awesome time!!

Great experience and amazing staff!
5/5

My friend and I booked a 5 day safari with Baboon Budget Safaris. It was really easy to communicate with the staff regarding payement or money transfers or any other questions about the safari. The owner Dennis was professional and thrustworthy. He picked us up himself at the hotel the day of the safari and was very kind througouht the whole safari even after we paid, he was always available and fixed any problems within one minute. The driver Patrick was fantastic, he knew so much about the wildlife and would gladly share everything he knew with the whole group. We started our journey in Lake Navaisha where we embarked in a safari boat for 100usd for 2 people ( I think it's a set price of 100$ and the more you are the better it is). If you take the tour for Lake Naivasha you pretty much have to do that safari boat, there is nothing else to do there. After we went to the hell's gate (still in Lake Naivasha area) where you will see wonderful panoramic views of the mountains (old volcanos) and wild animals. Beware: if you take the bike ride of 14km witch we did you need to be somewhat in a good shape. Masai Mara was fantastic, we stayed at mini mingi eco camp witch is very decent but make sure you ask for the new tents!!! Big difference between the two. The masai village was interesting (1000ksh) and in my view worth it. Obviously after the tour, they beg you to buy souvenirs. If you visit the school next door, be prepared to make a donation (not mandatory but...). Lake nakuru was ok, after seeing all the animals at the masai I wasn't impressed specially since we saw no flamingos as they were all in tanzania. But still lake nakuru is a beautiful national park worth seeing.

Awesome 4-day Safari
5/5

We booked a 4-day Budget Camping Safari with Unison and would highly recommend them for your trip. Felix and his team did a great job addressing our requests and everything was well-prepared. We drove around the Tarangire national park, the Ngorongoro Crater and explored the endless plains of the Serengenti national park- the experience is unbelievable. The (speedy:-)) driver John has a great knowledge and therefore we spotted many animals. Caspar was a great cook who always prepared delicious and varied dishes/ snacks. Thank you Unison Team for the amazing time!

What an experience!!!
5/5

My husband and I went to South Africa for the Christmas holidays and ended up staying 4 days in the accommodation supplied by Kruger Park Tours. A fully furnished 4 bedroom unit on a Macadamia nut farm. We were given the choice of all meals included or self-catering, but opted for all inclusive. Gastronomy unbelievable!! I don't know if Amarula cream is a gift from the gods or the ancestors or who ever but that stuff is out of this world.

Went on several game drives throughout the course of our stay and everyone was more exiting than the previous one. Seeing lions in the wild was really special but the sight of a Rhino in its natural habitat is something I will never forget. From the Lisbon and Berlin falls to God's window, every kilometer traveled was an adventure.

Johan and Rochelle were such magnificent hosts. Always willing to stop for cold refreshments and never ending patience in stopping at all the road stalls to look for souvenirs. Lovely touch that the owner is the one driving and leading the sight seeing. Sometimes guides can come across as cold. We enjoyed our stay an recommend it to anyone looking for a proper getaway from the city buzz.

Excellent safari and brilliant guide!
5/5

We went on a 3 day safari over New Years Eve 2015. Hoppy was the name of our guide, he was so knowledgable about all the different animals, birds, creatures. He was also so patient with us and great company, we were very sad to leave him after spending 3 full days with him, he is such a great person all round, a pleasure to have met him. We seen all of the big 5 in our time there, even on the first day we seen nearly everything we needed to, so the other days were just an added bonus. The communication from the office staff was great, they arranged to pick us up at an address where we were staying with friends instead of the airport and called a few days before, then a day before to confirm everything. I can't reccommend this enough, we expected the food would be a canteen with "self serve" basic lunch/dinner but actually it's a lovely restaurant where you can chose whatever you like from the menu for dinner, lunch is at any other place you stop at whilst out on the safari, again you order what you want and it is included in the price. We were also the only two on our trip, in a dedicated air conditioned van, where we expected to be amongst a large group, another bonus. We did go out on a safari one night with the resort in an open top bus and a guide who works at the resort, this was pretty awful, the guides have no respect for the animals - racing around at high speeds just trying to get from one place to the next to enable a "big 5 spotting" regardless of any other animals you could see on the way. It made us realise how amazing our guide and safari trip was, and also how grateful we were!
We will never forget Hoppy our guide, he was just brilliant, we have such great memories of our trip with him :-)

Great experience
4/5

We did 5 days safari tour (hell's gate, lake nakuru, masai mara) We had a super great experience with this compagny. Hotels and camps were very good and clean. The food is ok. We were disappointed because there are no flamingos at lake Nakuru. But it's not the fault of the compagny. We would not go if we had known before. We recommend this compagny. Patrick is a good driver and a good guide.
