A safari with Makasa is an unforgettable experience!
At the end of September/beginning of October we had a great trip to Tanzania! A 10-day safari along the Masai and the beautiful parks Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and the Serengeti. And then another 5 days of afterglow on Zanzibar.
We came across Makasa via Instagram and their offer immediately appealed to us; private safari with your own guide, a mix of lodges and tented camps, luxury and also back to basic with the sounds of lions and hyenas around your tent, the real safari feeling. No massive accommodations.
Anne helped us put together our program, the contact went very well, always a quick response and we could ask all our questions. There was a lot of emailing back and forth, but nothing was too much. We also spoke to her once via a Teams meeting, that was also very nice.
You have a lot of freedom in putting together your trip, there is no fixed program, you can organize it as you want.
On site, Selma is very accessible for questions if necessary, which gives a good feeling.
And what we found most special was our fantastic guide Jacob. You are on the road together in the jeep all day for 10 days, so that is quite decisive for the experience of your trip, that really makes the difference. You notice that Makasa really pays attention to the quality of the guide. Jacob has so much knowledge about the animals and nature that he shared with us.

Aruni & Raymond are the best tour guides!
From start to finish Aruni and Raymond were so welcoming and obliging. They gave great explanations and answered all the questions we had about the grasslands and different animals. They carried our bags and gave us advice when we went into any shops or restaurants. For our group of 10, it was the perfect trip! We would definitely recommend them as our tour guides and the tour company itself!

John – The best safari guide you could wish for!
We were incredibly fortunate to have John as our guide for our 4-day safari during our honeymoon in Tanzania. From the very beginning, John was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always made sure to fulfill all of our wishes. He was very experienced and could always provide us with exciting and detailed information about the wildlife and nature. Thanks to his expertise, we had unforgettable moments – from hunting scenes to relaxed animal herds in their natural environment. We were particularly impressed by the many young animals we were able to observe up close.
John not only managed to show us all the beauty of the wilderness but also made sure we had a lot of fun and shared many enjoyable moments together. Our lunches in the middle of the wilderness were true highlights!

Great Trip
We had an amazing 3-day safari with Suricata Safaris! The entire experience was well-organized, from the booking process to the safari itself. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had a memorable time, pointing out all the wildlife and explaining the landscape in great detail. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was excellent. We saw a wide variety of animals, including the Big Five, and the overall atmosphere was both exciting and relaxing. I can't recommend Suricata Travel enough for our unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania! We opted for the luxury package, and it was worth every penny. The lodges were absolutely stunning, offering comfort, breathtaking views, and impeccable service. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring we saw an incredible variety of wildlife, from lions and elephants to zebras and cheetahs. Both Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks were teeming with animals, making the experience truly magical. The food provided throughout the trip was delicious, fresh, and far beyond our expectations. Our flight after the journey was delayed and they put us up in a wonderful hotel for the evening too. Suricata Travel made our dream safari come true—5 stars all the way!
