Let me start off by saying that if you are looking to do a Tanzania safari, look no further than Lion King Adventures for a more personalized, budget-friendly, and complete experience.
From the beginning, Caroline was the most responsive amongst all the different companies. Many companies ghosted me. She was also very patient with my group’s decision making and review process as we had many iterations and change requests. I learned later that Lion King Adventures have their own sales teams as opposed to other companies outsourcing their sales to third parties. The personalized touch really set Lion King Adventures apart. My group ultimately landed on a 6-Day Mid-Luxury Highlights of Tanzania, which included Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater. The quoted price ended up significant cheaper than the other companies as well for the same exact itinerary.
Next, I worked with Rose with regard to logistics. All communications from the initial deposit to final installment were very clear and responses continued to be timely. A member of my group was continuing onto a trek of Mt. Kilimanjaro afterwards and they coordinated with the trekking company for a smooth transfer.
My group had Enock as our guide and I will simply say that my group unanimously agrees we could not have had a better guide than him. If you want to personally select your guide, I recommend him in a heartbeat. He was very informative throughout the safari with his knowledge of the animals we encountered, fun facts, ability to spot animals that my group with our untrained eyes could not see, made sure we got to each location safely, and did his best to make sure we got to see everything we wanted. Enock’s first question upon meeting my group was, “what do you want to see?”. I saw this as a reflection of him making sure his customers get all they want out of their experience and it showed. My group wanted to see the Big 9 (lions ✅, leopards ✅, elephants ✅, buffaloes ✅, rhinos ✅, cheetahs ✅, giraffes ✅, hippos ✅) and the Ugly 5 (warthogs ✅, hyenas ✅, maribou storks, vultures ✅, and wildebeests ✅).
Lion King Adventures vehicles are fitted with radios which allowed Enock to tap into the network of all safari drivers (not limited to Lion King Adventures vehicles) within a 5km radius. It came in clutch when someone mentioned a rare sighting through the radio chatter.
I was glad that my group decided to go with Lion King Adventures instead of the hundreds of other companies we could have chosen.

Very friendly and approachable
The team at Baboon Budget Safaris was very friendly and approachable. The entire safari was awesome and we did a lot of sightings on our game drives. Apart from this, they went out of their way and helped me out to get few other things in place for my Kenya trip which wasn't even their job, but they still helped. Over the course of planning, we went through nine revisions to fine-tune every detail—and every single change was handled quickly and with patience. Just days before our departure, I was unexpectedly hospitalized for nine days. During that stressful time, Anitha continued to check in with genuine care and compassion. When it came time to reschedule the entire trip, it was completely seamless, with no hassle or extra stress. That level of support meant the world to us.
The actual safari portion of our trip exceeded every expectation, thanks largely to Gaspar, our guide for the mainland portion. Gaspar is an expert in the Serengeti—his knowledge of the land, wildlife behavior, and even the smallest backroads is extraordinary. Within just hours of starting our game drive, he had already tracked down four of the Big Five, including three leopards and multiple groups of lions. His ability to spot animals from great distances was unbelievable. But beyond his expertise, what stood out most was his care—he drove safely and respectfully, ensuring my elderly mother was always comfortable throughout the journey.

Best Tour Guide Ever
As someone who’s fairly well-traveled and usually plans every detail of my trips myself, coming to Africa and relying on a local operator was a bit outside my comfort zone. The sheer number of tour options available is both incredible and overwhelming when you’re just getting started.
Ultimately, I narrowed it down to three operators who responded to my inquiry quickly and thoughtfully. Of those, Amshar (Edward) stood out immediately—he was incredibly responsive, patient, and easy to work with from day one.
Even after booking, I was still unsure about what to expect since I wasn’t in control of every reservation like I usually am—but once I arrived, I was absolutely blown away. From the moment I was picked up at the airport to every hotel check-in and everything in between, the logistics were seamless and so well organized.
The accommodations were fantastic, and our guide, Loth, was hands down the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He was kind, flexible, and always ready to accommodate whatever we needed. The vehicle was stocked with cold water, sodas, and snacks at all times. The music was always up for requests—or full takeovers—and Loth’s insights and information made every moment more enriching.
And all of this was before the actual safari, which was truly a once-in-a-lifetime, life-changing experience. Loth played a huge part in making it so memorable. We chatted, we laughed, we jammed to music—and we saw all the animals. I can’t recommend this experience enough.

An Unforgettable Experience in the Masai Mara – Highly Recommend Jocky Tours & Safaris!
We had an amazing 3-day safari in Masai Mara with Jocky Tours & Safaris. Everything was well organized, and the team was always quick to help with any questions. Our guide, Solomon (Asante Sana!), was incredibly helpful, attentive, and did everything he could to ensure we saw as many animals as possible – and we really did! From lions and elephants to rare species, every game drive was unforgettable. Solomon also shared interesting facts about the animals, nature, and local culture, which made the trip even more special.
The Masai Mara itself is absolutely stunning – the landscapes, the sunsets, the wildlife – a true bucket list experience.

Committed to providing the best experience
We went on a 12 day Tanzania tour starting end of May. What an amazing experience it turned out to be. We (family of 4 including a 10y and a 14y kids) decided on Tanzania as the destination for our next big vacation. After going through numerous itineraries, tour operator reviews and forum discussions on TripAdvisor we finalized a 12 day photography and migration safari by African Big Cats Safaris(ABCS) . The itinerary was finetuned to our preferences by Mr William Frank and once finalized we prepared for the tour with valuable inputs from Ms Naomi.
Mr Immanuel the manager of the company met us on the first day of the tour and explained the itinerary in detail and set the tone for the tour with his passionate description of what to expect on each day of the tour. From then on the wonderful tour was carried forward by our guide Mr Lovoi, a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable man. Who just knew where to find each of the animals. He would explain the characteristics of every bird and animal we came across. There was never a dull moment with him and he kept us fully interested in the safari for 12 days.
All the accommodations provided were great in care and comfort.
