The most incredible safari experience we've ever had!
Must be the most incredible safari experience we've ever had. We booked the more affordable camping option, and got to enjoy the same game drives as those staying in expensive lodges and I think we were more connected with nature.
Our guide for the safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was Peter, assisted by Brian, who was the cook on the trip. The food was really good, and Peter can cook! The campsites were clean and well-maintained, and sleeping in tents was an adventure in its own right.
I cannot possibly do justice to how wonderful the whole experience was; we saw tons of animals drawn from diverse species, including some rare sightings of a leopard in Ngorongoro.
I highly recommend Peter as a guide and Migration Venture Africa as a premier organizer for the unbelievable safari experiences!

The guides are very attentive and caring. Irene is always available if you have any questions or to find out how the safari is going. I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I think it's worth doing again.

Trip of a lifetime
This trip far exceeded my expectations. A 1 to 1 safari with Tim my guide, whose knowledge of the animals and birds of Uganda was incredible. I booked 10 days including Chimpanzee trekking and Mountain Gorilla trekking. This was about right for me and I would not have wanted less. The accommodation was far better than I expected and the food was simple and very tasty.
Tim was always on hand if I needed him but allowed me to do my own thing in the evenings which was great. I saw everything I wanted to see including the main reason for going which was the Gorillas. The hour I spent with them was unforgettable.
I loved my visit to Uganda and loved the people who are so friendly and kind. I would highly recommend BIG APES as an operator and would definitely recommend Tim as a guide. Take a good pair of binoculars but there really is no need for a camera with a 6 foot lens. I took all my photos using an iPhone as the wildlife is that close!!
Thank you Tim for making the trip one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

Friendly, easy to work with, great value for money
My wife and I went on a 5 day group safari with Suricata Safaris for our honeymoon. It was an absolutely amazing experience! Everything was ran seamlessly from start to finish. Suricata Safaris were very easy to deal with, and were very quick to respond throughout the booking process.
On the safari itself, we had Fred as our guide. He was amazing! He was extremely friendly and showed an encyclopedia-like knowledge of all the wildlife we encountered and his passion for the area was evident, which made the experience even more enjoyable. His ability to spot animals in the distance was exceptional, and we got to see many amazing animals as a result. He happily stopped whenever any of the tour group spotted an animal they were interested in. Overall, he made the experience an unforgettable one!
All the accommodation was very comfortable and clean, and the food provided was very tasty. They happily catered to any food allergies in the group, including my wife who required gluten free food!
Would definitely recommend Suricata Safaris, 5 star experience!

Fantastic guide
I booked a 3 day safari with super Eagles Travel. It went smoothly and our guide James gave us a fantastic tour in Masai Mara with lots of information about the wildlife and the Masai culture. The price was higher than estimated by safaribookings, I paid $100 more then other tourists in the same accommodation. Would recommend it anyway, though.
