Really awesome will go back again..
We booked a luxury safari and beach combo with Shavi Tours, and it was worth every penny. Our guide, Jones, had an encyclopedic knowledge of the wildlife and ecosystems, which made the game drives educational and exciting. Afterward, we relaxed at a stunning beach resort in Pemba Island, where we enjoyed crystal-clear waters and delicious local cuisine. Shavi Tours truly provides an unforgettable African travel experience.

Great infrastructure, good food, excellent wines, stunning landscapes and welcoming people.
It surprised me positively, the culture and history of South Africa is incredible, the food is delicious, the infrastructure is impeccable, the nature is preserved and especially the people are receptive, polite and friendly. I recommend!

The service was exceptional! We had great support for everything!
Since we arrived we were received by James and Jackson with all the information needed! We were guided thru all our stay and during the first they helped us to visit some interesting places in Nairobi (Giraffe center and Elephant orphan), we suggest to plan with them! We traveled to Masai Mara on the second day and there, all was already set, the only worry was when to start the next drive! This was one of my greatest experience as a traveler since the beginning to the end!

Jartan was an excellent and very knowledgeable tour leader with great sense of humor.
Tanzania was a delightful country full of surprises. We experienced the great migration as the wildebeest and zebra were moving south. Was common to see 100s of the animals each day. Lions were plentiful and fat since so many prey were available. We also saw many lions on “honeymoons”’as mating season was in full swing. Highlight was seeing 12 cheetah and witness two cubs playing keep away with rodent. Our visits to local villages to understand their life and culture was amazing. Jartan was an exceptional guide and made the trip very special.

Hilarious travel experience, fun and as well refreshing moments of my life.
I did a 3 day tour in the Serengeti national park. Every moment I spent there was hilarious as I got the time to experience what real nature means, without forgetting the kindness I got from the staff members.

Very satisfied with their whole crew: guides, drivers, lodging staff!
I was a bit disappointed with customer service, though replies were prompt and helpful. But attention to detail was a bit lacking: My friend's food preferences included No Onions for box lunches, I (on the other hand) love onions, grilled or crunchy. Mike had to cancel (health), so I went alone, and all my box lunches were labelled No Onions. Oh well, the wildlife was awesome, and I had onions each dinner. I was also told that each jeep comes equipped with binoculars, but apparently the guide-drivers have to bring their own on the safari tours, doesn't seem right. My guide, whose name is Hamisi didn't have binoculars so I missed out (Note to safari goers: Your camera has to be equipped with telephoto lens!).
Hamisi was a wonderful safari guide and driver (rough and rocky roads often) and I was happy to get to know him.
By the way, all the lodging on this 12 day tour is owned and operated by the safari operator, so there's a consistency I appreciated (being halfway around the world). Tent and other lodging facilities were very well-maintained, with better than expected plumbing and bedding, decent wi-fi, and good variety of food at dinner.
Most apparent and appreciated: well-trained staff, from the managers to the servers and security staff. Friendly and able to deal with requests. I left my lap top charger plugged in at Karatu (the nicest lodging of the whole 2 weeks) and the drivers were able to tag-team the cords back to me 5 days later, what a relief to re-charge my devices!
By the way, the roads are rough, and challenging (I'm an older guy) but taking short flights to avoid long jeep drives is a mistake. I saw the real Tanzania on the roads, the beautiful, the difficult to watch, and the surprising, the Maasai goat herders, the children assembling for songs before school, baboons walking in formation along the road, so much to see, either sitting in the back or standing up with my cameras.
Three nights and days in the Serengeti, with a night-time jeep drive, great experiences each day. Thank you to Hamisi my guide, and to Paradise & Wilderness, the service and amenities were good, and the parade of wildlife was beyond my expectations.
