An incredible experience during the calving season!
We just could not have asked for more - saw lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, jackals, foxes etc - and even a lioness make a kill right in front of our eyes!
The experience would not have been possible without our cool, calm, collected & vastly experienced driver-guide Joseph - who always had a penchant for what was ‘likely to happen’ & got us front-row seats to the action nearly each time. Could not recommend Joseph more for the adventure of a lifetime.
And certainly the experience wouldn’t have been the same without the excellent service provided by the team at Lion King Adventures - especially Naurey who really went out of her way to ensure we had the best trip possible.

They are excellent
We had a great time with Vincent and Sadala who are very friendly and helpful guide.
They are great at finding animals and we got to see many kinds of animals.
I was worried about whether I could take good pictures because I didn't have a good camera, but I was so excited to see the animals so close that I could take beautiful pictures with my iPhone camera.
I was very moved. Very much recommend.

Incredible experience
Our tour guide, Danford, was extremely professional. Punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had some incredible encounters with so many animals - lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hippos, and lots of other creatures. Danford had interesting information about all of the animals, as well as the plants, geography, and history of the area, which provides an interesting, holistic understanding of Ruaha National Park.

Exceeded all expectations!
I'm writing this review one week after our return to Italy, because I wanted all the strongest emotions to soak in, in order to write a review as impartial and useful as possible.
I need to admit that this is quite impossible: yesterday I rewatched the first "The Lion King" and cried as a baby, and this time not only for Mufasa's death, but for each landscape and animal that I've recognised inside the cartoon, and that our perfect guides, Martin and Samuel, were able to spot in the wilderness and show to us.
It's difficult to express how wonderful our first safari was, and how it exceeded all our expectations, thanks to Earthwings.
During the planning phase, I spoke with lots of local agencies in order to ask quotations and assemble itineraries for my 7 days adventure: Martin made the best impression, always so kind and punctual with his answers, always flexible to find together the most suitable solution. I'm also quite paranoid and perfectionist when it comes to planning a trip, especially when it's a quite expensive one like a safari, so kudos to Martin for dealing with me always gracefully and courteously. :)
I need to admit that I was afraid to wire a lot of money for our down payment (usually our trips are way cheaper and with no need to anticipate such amount of money to anyone :)), but Martin proved absolutely trustworthy.
Coming to the safari itself, we were absolutely lucky to have not only Martin, but also Samuel to be our drivers and guides along all the parks we visited. I honestly did not expect to have two people with us... but when I realised how big (and slow) distances are in Kenya, it was clear that it would have been impossible for just one person to manage all that!
They were both very safe and careful drivers on "normal" roads, but also on parks trails... and most of all they were both formidable animal-spotters. Furthermore, they didn't just point at animals, but they also supplied lots of information about them and about nature in general. They really provided an incredible added value to our experience.
We were also able to see all the Big Five, and the precise moment when we spotted our last one, the leopard, is already the best moment of my 2025... and even if there are still more than 11 months to go, I think it will stay firmly at least in my personal top three. ;)
...Finally, most of all, Martin and Samuel really are the nicest human beings. We were happy to see them in the morning, happy to spend the day with them, happy to share meals. I know that it was work for them, and I'm not sure they were so happy to wake up often at sunrise for us :D ...but they were really able to make our experience wonderful also from a "human" point of view.
I could tell one thousand things more, but I'm afraid I would just bore you. ;)
I hope I was able to let you feel at least one ounce of the joy I was able to experience in my week aroung Tsavos, Amboseli, Nakuru, Masai Mara and Naivasha parks.
Go with Earthwings... you will not regret it.

A fantastic partner for a once in a lifetime experience
Fantastic journey and safari from Nairobi through Amboseli. Our guide Robin was brilliant and knew exactly where to go when. The vehicle, water etc was what we needed and we had a comfortable night at the Sentrim Lodge. A big thanks to Robin, yourself, and your team for the facilitation of a once in a lifetime experience.
