I could not recommend Back of Africa more highly. Allan at Back of Africa designed a bespoke 4-night private safari for my husband and I, visiting Tsavo East & West, Taita Hills and Amboseli, booking us into the lodges of our choice, and working within our budget. Allan's planning was excellent, and all his communication with us was clear and timely both before and during our time in the parks. Every moment was extraordinary, each lodge unique and perfect in its own way, and every day exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful.
What made the whole experience so perfect though was our luck in having Mr. Kombo as our driver and guide. Request him!!! We could not have asked for better. The level of service he provided was amazing - Friendly, organized, full of knowledge, highly experienced, fun and professional. We were blown away. Honestly, one of the best travel experiences of my life.

Fantastic safari experience
Very well organised and enjoyable Safari. Our driver Wisdom was brilliant and did his absolute best to ensure we saw as many animals as possible during our 6 hour safari.

The 3 of us had planned a 4-day trekking up Mt. Meru plus a 5-day Safari in Northern Tanzania. We inquired to several tour operators including Destiny Explorers. Issa´s feedback was very fast, and the suggested route / accomodations / destinations exactly matched what we had imagined. The price quote & itinerary were detailed, easy to understand and transparent. Overall, Destiny Explorer´s offer was the most attractive. From the beginning of our contact, communication was excellent. Every e-mail was answered very quickly, every question and concern attended to. Payment transactions all went smoothly. And Issa also gave us advice when we seemed to have delays with our visas.
At Arusha, we were warmly welcomed by our mountain team of 8 (including guides, cook, porters...) & Nico, to start our Mt. Meru challenge. Our guides Elly & Livin are just unique - we had so much fun with them, they were always good for a joke, they motivated and supported us at every step of the hike. Mt. Meru is more challenging than we had expected, but thanks to them we made it ! Our chef Ramadhan provided us with excellent dining (a LOT of food!). The whole team is just great : Elia the "waiter", and our porters who have such a hard job, yet are always cheerful and smiling (Emanuel, John, Wilhard & Jonas). Cheers to all of you and a big THANK YOU for making this possible and such a memorable experience for us! From the next day onward, we were in good hands with our cheerful and caring Safari Guide Nico, who took us to Tarangire NP, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Transition was very smoth, transport all taken care of.
Thanks to Nico´s expertise, we got to see everything that Tanzania´s wildlife has to offer. Nico really went out of his way to make our trip comfortable, enjoyable and smooth and always had advice on any question. We had such a great time with him and will miss him dearly - cheers & big THANK YOU, Nico, for making this such an eventful and unforgettable safari! Saying good bye to ALL of you was sad ! All we can add as a conclusion is, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND DESTINY EXPLORERS ! Thank you, Issa for the good organization, Thank you, Nico, Elly, Livin, Ramadhan, Eliah, Emanuel, John, Wilhard & Jonas ! Quality really worth to price.
It was excellent experience. It was great value for money. We have seen all 5 five. Tha Maasai Mara parc was georgeus. The guide was a pro,profi rider and excellent animal cheasing. He was kind and allways helpfull and accomadating to our needs.

I had limited budget, I visited office, lovely offices ladies welcome us. Because of my budget I talked with them and they offered me affordable plan with my budget. My safari was MasaiMara, Naivasha , Nakuru 4day 3nights.
Our first driver, Simon we spend one day with him on van Naivasha and Nakuru. he was so kind and nice guy. Thank you Simon !
And from Nakuru we transferred 4wheel vehicle to MasaiMara, our second driver Jeff! Oh my god we had incredibly amazing time with Jeff. Not to mention his driving skill, he was so social guy he knows everyone and kind to everyone. He were so passionate to drive to find animals make us happy. We saw big five (Rhinos we saw in Nakuru) multiple times lions, eating after hunting lions and cheetah. It was my best moment of life. Thank you so much Jeff!!
He was so kind to everyone and he was helping other tourist vehicles. Group of lions were 30meters away.. we had to stay in vehicle, Jeff was alone to help others.
When our vehicle had problem of course many of other drivers tried to help him. It was so touched to me how his behavior to everyone. Respectful, kindness and gentle. Thank you so much Jeff for our safari. I hope next trip also drive with him.
I strongly suggest take 4wheel drive in MasaiMara. Because of my budget, I choose Van…. Naivasha and Nakuru are oaky.. with van BUT MasaiMara is lot lot lot more better with 4wheel. Chasing to animals 4wheels able to drive offroad and mud lot better. Thanks to Big safari team we were lucky they upgraded our vehicle van to 4wheels.
I appreciate to Big safari team, Jeff, other tourist on our vehicle made fantastic memories in my life.
