Unforgettable 8-Day Safari with William David from Gosheni Safari
Our 8-day safari with William David from Gosheni Safari was nothing short of incredible. We explored four different national parks and were fortunate to spot the Big Five multiple times. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the opportunity to also observe lesser-known bird species and smaller animals — a true testament to William’s deep knowledge and keen eye.
With over 18 years of experience, William is not just a guide; he is a walking encyclopedia on Tanzania’s landscapes, flora, fauna, and culture. His insights into the 120+ tribes of Tanzania were as captivating as the wildlife itself. Learning about the cultural diversity of the country added an entirely new layer to the journey.
Tanzania is a very accessible country for travelers, but having someone like William made a world of difference. His experience ensured everything ran smoothly, and he was always one step ahead. The 4x4 vehicle was in excellent condition — well-maintained, fully equipped, and cleaned daily. Cold water and other drinks were always available, making the long drives very comfortable.
Another major highlight was William’s network and familiarity with lodges and fellow guides. Thanks to his connections, any potential issues were resolved quickly and seamlessly. Every detail was carefully considered, and we always felt safe, informed, and well taken care of.
William’s understanding of each park was remarkable. He navigated every trail with ease and knew exactly where to find the animals. The tips he and other guides shared throughout the safari made a huge difference — from photography advice to animal behavior insights.
This wasn’t just a safari; it was a masterclass in nature, culture, and conservation, guided by someone with unmatched passion and expertise. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a Tanzanian safari experience.

Steve was excellent
We were very lucky to have Steven as our guide. Everyone in my family adored him. Steve is an expert in birds, but his over 20 years of acquired expertise covers a wide variety of African animals. We were truly delighted to find so many animals in a relatively short Safari (6 days). We went to Tangire, the Serengeti Plain, and Ngorongoro Crater, and in that short trip, we were able to see 1) a cheetah hiding in the tall grass, 2) a lioness cleaning her three cubs in the tall grass (my daughter’s favorite) & a lioness stalking and Killing a warthog (my favorite because it felt like a National Geographic movie in real life) and 3) a leopard sitting in a tree after a kill, and 4) several buffalo. All told, we saw four of the five “Big Five” Tanzanian animals! We saw many others but those four were definitely on the top of our wish list!
In addition, all through the Safari, Steve pointed out birds we had never seen before. The man might just know the name of every single bird in Tanzania! He would stop and show us beautiful birds I'd never seen before in my life. It felt like I was taking a college level class in ornithology. We weren’t bird experts but we definitely became interested in bird watching after taking this safari with Steve. He is an all around excellent guide!

It was wonderful especially with explanation of the animal behaviour.
It was great. We have seen a lot of animals. The guide was incredible, he was so knowledgeable and knew exactly where to go. And explained the animal behaviour a long the way. The masai family we visited was also very nice. It was kind of awkward in the beginning, but they were so kind and explained their way of living so patiently.

Fantastic and incredible!
We recommend Savannah Explorer to everyone! Our guide was Daudi. He was great, punctual, knowledgeable, and expert! We were lucky to have Daudi as our guide. The lodges we slept in were fantastic, with excellent food and a warm welcome. The Serengeti safari was magical; in six hours, we saw so many animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area was also unique, with breathtaking scenery and so many animals. It was a unique trip that everyone should do at least once in their lifetime.

5 days Safari with Suricata Safari
The 5-day safari with Suricata was just as I had imagined it would be. Thank you to our guide, Melita, for showing us part of this beautiful country. Extraordinary memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend the sunrise balloon flight over the Serengeti; it's truly worth it.

Well organized tour that strives for excellent service.
Good value for your money. Apparently there are even better parks in Tanzania but we wanted a short cheap safari experience quick and easy and you couldn't ask for that to be fulfilled in a better way. Got to see many Giraffes, Elephants, Crocodiles, Hippos, Baboons, Pumbas, Zebras, Wilderbeasts, Impalas beautiful Birds and much more in their natural habitat. Great experience for a first little safari. Beautiful diverse landscape including the 2nd largest river in Africa. Lots of friendly people and smiles everywhere except for the car drivers for some reason.. :) And the Selous Lodge staff is the friendliest hotel staff I have experienced and they helped us learn some Swahili on the go. My heart is filled with joy. Asante sana.
