Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris organized our trip perfectly!
5/5

From the beginning OT from Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris was very friendly, flexible and fast. He helped us with our itinerary and choosing the perfect accommodations. And he helped us staying within the budget we had. With even at one point offering us more than we paid for. I was really happy with him as he communicated and helped us greatly. This felt very reassuring.

But also when our trip started it was perfect. Everything went completely as planned and as OT had promised. We were picked up by a driver who brought us to the Hotel. OT himself came to meet us there and confirm everything another time but then face to face. It was great to meet him in person. Friendly , enthusiastic but very on top of everything. We emailed, of course, some time and then it is nice to see him in person.

But also the driver/guide was great. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything we had questions about. What we really appreciated was that sometimes he did not know something and then he also said it instead of telling us something which he was not sure of. And also he had respect for wildlife. Not coming too close and all. Or turning the motor off and the radio when we were stopping to look at the wildlife and make beautiful pictures. So we could really experience and enjoy the silence and the sounds of the animals.

We had a great trip! And I recommend Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris to everybody!

Incredible experience!
5/5

We went on an 11 day Kenya safari and Zanzibar trip. We visited Masai Mara, lake Navaisha and Amboseli. The organisation of the trip was great. We had a fantastic guide/driver Sammy who helped us to see the most amazing animals! Food and accomodation were excellent! Our accomodation in Zanzibar was stunning, right on the beach and was a great way to end the trip! Thank you to Mr Otieno and the team!

Great primate tour
5/5

Great trip with Matoke. This is third trip Ihad with them. All arrangements were done on-line and everything was as promised. Gorilla treking and chimp habituation as well as the swamp walk was great. Accomadations were superb. Drivers were friendly and informative. Had a great time and will use them again if I go back to East Africa.

Brilliant 12 day tour of Rwanda with Golden Rwanda Tour company.
5/5

I can't fault the service. Traveling on my own I arrived a little apprehensive of how the holiday would work out but on being met at the airport by Frank Benoit Kanyamutara, his professional but warm welcome instantly made me feel secure and there was no incident in the whole trip for which he was my driver and guide to give me any concern.
We had no strict itinerary my request was that if I liked an area we'd stay a couple days if not we'd move on. Frank did his best to show me most aspects of life round the country as well as National parks, cleaning coffee beans, a tea factory and live music one evening at a bar.
I really enjoyed my time in Rwanda and have no hesitation in recommending this tour company. Advance payments made by bank transfere went through with no difficulty and I wasn't asked for any more than initially agreed.
A most memorable holiday.

Crater lake Naivasha excursion
5/5

That was the best excursion ever. Great memories at the Crater Lake and later a memorable boatride experience at Lake Naivasha. The cheetah revolution safaris team did a great job from the buffet lunch. Everything was in order, good communication skills before, during and after the trip.II would recommend anybody who wishes to travel to book with cheetah revolution safaris.

An expensive stressful drama-filled two day trip to Victoria Falls - not worth it, won't do again
2/5

The one good thing I can say about AfriTrip is they are responsive. But our 2-day trip to Victoria Falls was not relaxing or enjoyable due to the stress and drama that ensued and the total cost was way more than the value we received.

The night before we are to leave we receive urgent messages that our Air Zimbabwe flight from JNB had been canceled and they rebooked us on British Airways. At that point it was an annoyance but not too bad. We had to get up earlier the next morning and switch airlines but still looking forward to our trip.

We land in Victoria Falls airport and the driver was surprised to see us since he thought we were still on the canceled flight! He didn't get the updated info so we were lucky that he was there waiting for others or might have been stuck with no ride. Victoria Falls Hotel where we stayed was okay but not worth the price. It's not a first-rate experience, e.g. the front desk agent forgot to return our passports! That caused some unnecessary stress. The room itself was mediocre.

Now, Victoria Falls itself IS amazing and worth seeing and we quite enjoyed it, just not the rest of the experience. For example, we had a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River that was so touted on KrugerPark.com for seeing wildlife and all we saw was a croc and some birds. I understand nature is unpredictable but I find the sales pitch misleading. Also, the cruise served snacks and drinks yet didn't have proper bathroom facilities! More unnecessary stress.

Now the worst part of the trip is the day before we are to fly back to JNB we get messages that our return flight on Air Zimbabwe has been canceled again! The airline wants to move to us a flight that's 5 hours later. Knowing how unreliable the airline has been we were not going to take the last flight out of Victoria Falls (on any airline) and risk getting stuck in Zimbabwe. How could KrugerPark.com book us on such an unreliable airline! Even after this, they refuse to rebook us on British Airways so, after a ton of back and forth (instead of enjoying our trip), we paid $724 to do it ourselves. They did refund us $322 which they claim is the cost of the flight plus their commission so we are out over $400 additionally.

In total we paid over $2500 for this two-day trip and did not see the value. Both flights getting screwed up, a mediocre hotel, and some mediocre tours. Overall it was a 5-star price for a 2-star experience. The Falls ARE spectacular though!

P.S. If I quickly do the math it doesn't quite add up. We paid over $2100 to the tour company. Based on the refund, flights were $322 each way including commission. Hotel was almost $800 for two nights (yes, quite expensive). Falls tour was $40 retail. Sunset cruise was $106 retail. And we got 6 transfers total which were maybe $100? We even had to pay $60 entry fee for the Falls and $20 for the River ourselves! This adds up to not even $1700 which includes part of their commission so how much are they jacking up the prices to make a package deal?! Knowing what we know now, we would've been MUCH better off booking the trip ourselves.
