This Park puts your world and your place in it, in perspective.

I love this Park and the way it is managed. I have lived on 4 different continents, and experienced many scenarios in my lifetime, but I keep returning to Kruger. It puts my life into another perspective.

More history than wildlife
Overall rating
3/5

The Waterberg is not as interesting for the wildlife as one could expect, especially when Etosha is so close. However, the dirt roads inside and around it are really pleasant to drive. The cliffs of the plateau are impressive, particularly at sunset. The most interesting about the Waterberg Plateau is that it makes an opportunity to learn about the history of Namibia, as the Herero fought the Germans at this exact place. There is a German war cemetery within the park boundaries. For the rest, Etosha provides much more for the same price (or less).

So many cars in 2014. Except for the elephants, we did not see all the animals we saw in 2011.

Review about Lake Nakuru National Park by Kristine
Overall rating
4/5

We went out on the lake. It was beautiful, with many birds and nice to be on the water. It was more civilized where we were where even a local wedding was going on while we were there. It was a perfect contrast to the Masai Mara safari.

Exciting AND Beautiful!
Overall rating
4/5

The Masai Mara was amazing. Our guide was determined to find all the wildlife he could so he drove us many miles out. It felt very remote and special. We saw animals and birds I had never seen before and they were gorgeous. All the animals seemed to be in their natural habitat...even elephants climbing mountains??? My favorite were the giraffe. You could see them off amongst the trees with their heads sticking up high. We also saw a huge group of them just off the road. We saw many animals so up close it was crazy from our open top vehicle. Great views for great picture taking.

It was also very special to be able to see the local tribes people. They were in their native clothes, of course, and we could see their homes and small communities very nearby. We saw many natives from Masai warriors to Masai women who make beautiful trinkets for tourists. They're a bargain, great memorabilia and easy to pack.

Review about Kakamega Forest National Reserve by Caroline Wallace
Overall rating
5/5

The Kakamega Rainforest is so beautiful! The wildlife is incredible. People come from thousands of miles away just to see the incredible birds. There are hundreds of different species of birds and butterflies in the forest. The monkeys are my favorite part! The climate is literally perfect. It is chilly in the morning and evening, and warm in the afternoon. If you want to visit the Kakamega Forest, make sure you stay at Rondo Retreat Centre, and visit the Kakamega Environmental Education Program (KEEP).

The Masai Mara is incredible!!!! The beauty truly is indescribable. Just the views of the land alone is incredible, but then it is dotted with the most amazing wildlife on earth! I saw almost every animal you can see in the park. It is so amazing to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat, undisturbed. It is truly every animals lovers dream come true!
