Very decent and pleasant Safari holiday
5/5

Hi Malika Travel!

Everything aligned with what we had requested and discussed at the Dutch "vakantiebeurs". Malika was answerring all our questions, was good reachable by phone and email. Very trustfully organization and people they work with. We had a very good holiday. Our privat chauffeur found the best spots for us during the safari's so we could see the beautifull animals very closely and make beautifull pictures and video's. Thank you very much for your supply, care and service before, during and after our holiday!!

With love and hugs from Family Ter Hove in The Netherlands.

Ikaze made me feel at home in Rwanda and in Uganda
5/5

I came to Rwanda with my girlfriend in January 2025. We wanted to experience the country, but didn't know where to begin. Ikaze Tours was able to plan us the perfect trip and Yves the owner was so helpful every step of the way. Ikaze suggested 3 different itineraries based on our interests, and we were able to chose one and make small adjustments to fit our schedule which made the planning so much easier! The tour was affordable and saved us so much in terms of stress-free travel and convenience.

The tour was perhaps the best trip we've ever taken (ask my friends - I'm still telling the stories). Rwanda is super safe and beautiful, and all of the travel Yves planned for us went smoothly. The drivers and guides were always on time, professional and nice to talk to. Anaclet taught us about the animals on our safari, and even taught me how to say hello and thank you in Kinyarwanda (muraho and murakoze). When we had the road journeys to Uganda and back (it was maybe 3-4 hours, not too bad), the tour company chose a time when the border point was less busy, so we passed through without waiting in queues. Handy!

Ikaze's service was amazing and we felt taken care of. For example, when we wanted to change plans to extend our stay in Nyungwe Forest, we just asked Yves directly and he arranged it for us, no fuss!! And then, after I discovered that I left my medication at a different hotel two days prior, Yves managed to find a pharmacy in Kigali that would take my prescription and sell me an exact replacement.

We highly recommend Yves and Ikaze tours. Murakoze for the adventure of a lifetime!

Rich in emotion
5/5

Communication with Rose was very fluid. She answered my questions and was very quick in the exchanges. So I was able to quickly book the safari.

We then met our guide Charles who was very professional throughout the safari. He made us live a unique experience during his good knowledge of the reserve (Masai Mara). We were lucky enough to see many lions and many other animals. Communication was very easy and the Jeep was comfortable.

We then went to Lake Nakuru, unfortunately we had to change guide and Jeep, this one was much less comfortable and the guide was not very communicative. Lake Nakuru is still nice.

We had opted for the budget formula and the 2 accommodations were nice, there was everything we needed (tent and hotel). To take into account that sometimes you have to wait a little while to have hot water for the shower, but the staff indicates it at the time of Check in

Plan small snacks, the days are long.

It was a very rewarding and unforgettable experience. Do not hesitate to make your reservation.

Awesome!!
5/5

The safari service is best at the given deal. You just go-ahead and book it without having a second thought. Josephine (the safari manager) is super helpful and understanding. She curated a very good itinerary inline with my inputs.

For international travellers: I would to share that the company give option to pay as per convenience (partially card + Cash). I would recommend to pay in advance via online to finalize your booking and rest assured. The company arrange smoth pickup drop and hotel accommodation at your convenience. 100% genuine and trusted Safari operator.

An unforgettable experience
5/5

We had an amazing experience with Serengeti Smile! Jeremiah was wonderful throughout the planning, always kind and accommodating. Our guide, Mr. John Paul, was outstanding — professional, warm, and one of the nicest people you’ll meet. He greeted us every morning with a smile, and it truly felt like our happiness was his happiness.

The Best Birthday EVER!
5/5

From the moment I landed in Nairobi at 3am after nearly 24 hours of travel, Akira Safaris went above and beyond in ways I could never have imagined. The owner, David Odongo, welcomed me into his home and even offered me a spare bedroom so I could rest before our departure for the Masai Mara. His daughter, Alynne, surprised me with a birthday gift, a stunning sweater embroidered with the Akira Safaris logo, and I was nearly moved to tears by the family’s warmth. Within minutes of meeting them, I felt like I had found family in Kenya.

What followed was beyond my wildest expectations. I grew up watching nature documentaries and assumed safaris for tourists would be limited to driving along pre-planned routes, hoping to catch a glimpse of distant animals. Instead, I felt like a real Nat Geo explorer. Our guide, Jeff, would get a call on the radio, flash us a smile, and say “hold on tight” before cutting through chest-high Masai grass, chasing the next unforgettable sighting. With binoculars around my neck and cameras in hand, I felt like I was living out my childhood dream of filming Planet Earth.

Jeff made all the difference. His knowledge, humor, and camaraderie with other drivers turned the Masai Mara into a brotherhood of explorers rather than competitors. When a Jeep got stuck, others rushed to help. When we spotted something extraordinary, Jeff shared it with others, and they returned the favor. I later experienced other safari companies in other parks, and the difference was night and day. With Jeff, every moment felt alive, purposeful, and safe.

And the wildlife… words barely do it justice. I witnessed lionesses feasting on a fresh zebra kill, a cheetah with its morning gazelle, and, the crown jewel, the Great Migration. Though the Mara River was too high for a crossing, Jeff’s patience and skill led us to a smaller creek where we witnessed hundreds of thousands of wildebeests leaping across. The engine off, silence all around us except for the thundering hooves, it was like stepping straight into a documentary. I captured the entire scene on video, a memory that will never fade.

Beyond the animals, Akira Safaris gave me the gift of culture. Visiting a real Maasai village, being welcomed with song, dance, and laughter, and learning their traditions was a dream fulfilled. From start to finish, logistics and comfort were seamless. I never felt like just another customer, I felt like family. Even small gestures, like Jeff buying me an ice-cold Tusker lager and toasting to my 40th birthday, made this trip deeply personal.

This safari changed me. It opened my heart, gave me lifelong friends, and reminded me of the power of kindness and connection. I’ll never forget it, and I’ll spend the rest of my life paying forward the love I felt in Kenya.

If you are considering a safari, do yourself a favor and book with Akira Safaris. And if you can, request Jeff as your guide. You won’t just see wildlife , you’ll feel what it’s like to truly live in the wild, safe in the hands of people who care about you like family.

Everything was easy for us and fully taken care of
5/5

This was a very good tour with an accredited tour company (not all of them are). It was hugely easy to arrange over email. We were kept totally informed and could get in touch with them whenever we wanted. We really liked our guide and he was available to help us with anything. There is nothing I would change about this experience.
