Akondo Adventures have gone above and beyond in our experience. Boris, the Managing Director, planned a wonderful trip with different touch-points around Arusha.
Richard, the best guide we have ever had, made the trip even more memorable. It genuinely felt like we had a friend with us on the trip, and he added different stops to our trip based on our requests and interests. He was super attentive and taught us a lot about the culture and did his best to make sure we had the best experience — from finding animals in the game drives to Masai villages for us to visit. He was incredibly fun and we would recommend him (Richard is the man) and Akondo Adventures to anyone wanting an unforgettable time in Tanzania.

Experience was overall good. With few not-so-good experience with the driver and confusion about water bottles. Instructions were not very clear. Drives very rashly sometimes. But food, staff, everything was awesome!

Horrendous experience- update from previous review
I wrote a review previously about my horrendous experience with this company and wanted to provide an update. I prepaid for my safari well in advance only to find that nothing was paid for upon arrival and I was forced to pay out of pocket. Our accommodation was also changed last minute- even after the company CONFIRMED that everything was booked and paid for in advance. All lies. Our safari was in February 2025 and I have been asking for a refund since. I have been provided with generic emails promising refunds with no follow-through. Now I've been ghosted by the company and they won't respond to my texts and email. I am writing this secondary review so others are aware. I DO NOT recommend rolling the dice with this company. You will likely lose out on money and be stranded.

Unforgettable experience and great staff
From the moment we met James and Alice and throughout our time with Morningstar we couldn't have asked for more. Alice put together a perfect package for our family of 8 at a great price and kept in touch along the way. James was our Safari guide/driver for 3 days and he was brilliant throughout. Very professional, knowledgeable and personable and felt like part of the family by the end of our short time together. Would 100% recommend Morningstar and especially both Alice and James to anybody.

Nothing to complain it was an amazing experience and our driver Papa John always went out of his way to help you find the African Big 5. Top marks and an excellent experience. Will come again soon for a more personalised tour with Jocky.

Best Experience ever!
At the end of May, we spent a four-day trip with Lets, his brother Julias, and their Cook Lets in the heart of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. We were picked up in Maun and taken to a camp after a six-hour drive. The tents were comfortable, the food was always delicious, and the morning and afternoon safaris were a unique experience! Lets and Julias not only saw us a huge number of animals, but also gave us a wealth of knowledge about the animals and the Okavango Delta. 7 days romantic safari
A fantastic experience with Safari Avventura! The itinerary (Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) was perfectly organized. Our guide Calvin ("the great Calvin" because there are two Calvins in the agency! 😁) was exceptional: professional, friendly, French-speaking, and an expert in wildlife. Thanks to him, we saw all the animals we were hoping for, in excellent conditions.
The hot, fresh food every day was a real plus compared to the usual lunchboxes. All the accommodations were of high quality, with a special mention for the Serengeti Queens Camp.
Top-notch organization, an unforgettable guide—we recommend him 100%!
