An Unforgettable Experience with Raphael and Altaika Africa Safaris
Our day with Raphael from Altaika Africa Safaris was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania. From the very beginning, Raphael treated my parents and me like family. He was warm, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing the heart of his culture with us.
We toured a local village where he walked us through the homes, farmland, and daily life of the community. It was incredibly eye-opening and authentic—nothing felt staged or touristy. We had the chance to sample both banana beer and banana wine (which he very kindly gifted me two bottles of at the end of our tour). That thoughtful gesture really spoke to the kind of person Raphael is.
Beyond the cultural immersion, what stood out most was the personal connection. Raphael made sure we felt welcome, comfortable, and appreciated throughout. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it’s clear he takes deep pride in both his work and his people.
If you're looking for a genuine, enriching, and memorable experience in Tanzania, I couldn't recommend Raphael and Altaika Africa Safaris more. We’ll definitely be back someday.

Rochelle planned a flawless trip for me!
I didn't do a lot of research myself, this safari was an afterthought add-on to my trip to SA for the Sardine Run. I made a few inquiries to different operators and Rochelle answered me right away. Her communication through the entire planning and booking process was excellent. She always answered my questions quickly and provided lots of details.
She put together an itinerary that matched my budget and gave me some variation with game drives in Kruger National Park as well as Sabi Sands. I'm really pleased I did both, they were quite different from each other and both very good experiences.
All the transportation between Johannesburg and the lodges as well as between lodges went perfectly smoothly as planned.
As a solo traveler that usually does everything on my own, it was a welcomed break to have someone else do all the organizing! I felt very well taken care of.

Great 4 day safari experience
My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable safari experience and Zanzibar beach holiday ! Willy, our guide, was great—very knowledgeable, engaging, and impressively skilled at spotting wildlife even from afar.
The lodges exceeded our expectations: nestled in breathtaking surroundings, it offered a perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature.
The staff were warm and attentive, and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs. We can’t recommend this safari and Zamunda tours highly enough—it was the adventure of a lifetime!

The company gave me the option of budget or mid-range accommodation and I chose the latter. The hotels in Kenya were amazing, or even luxurious. On the other hand, in Tanzania, the hotels looked more like the Kenyan budget option. The cars were ok and the staff and drivers were amazing and really helpful, they solved all my questions. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful 4 day Safai experience with friends and family
We booked a 4 day Amboseli Tsavo Tour with Smartlicker. From the booking till the end we had a marvelous experience! Patrick was assisting us in finding the right tour for us. He came to greet us at the pick up befor our safari. Gordon our tourguide and driver was amazing. We always felt safe and he fullfilled our wishes.
Besindes being very kind and friendly he is very competent . He knew the best animal spotting places and best roads to take. We saw so many aninals - the big 4 (no rhinos in this park). We had beautiful close encounters with Elefants and Giraffes and could finally see lions on our last day. Four our group it will stay a memorable experience. If we return we will book again with smartlickers.

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Splendid Vacations
We booked a 5-day safari tour to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara with Splendid Vacations. Our consultant, James, helped finalize our itinerary according to schedule.
A special thanks goes to our game driver—also named James—for his excellent driving skills, professional knowledge, and patient care throughout the trip. He consistently positioned the vehicle for the best photography opportunities and even gave us helpful photography tips. Thanks to his expertise, we not only saw the Big Five—including a leopard—but also the “Ugly Five.” The safari experience was truly amazing and flawless.
Before the trip, we listed the wildlife we hoped to see and categorized them into "common" and "rare" sightings with the help of ChatGPT. Without James’s guidance, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve that goal.
For accommodation, we chose Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge at Lake Nakuru, and Muthu Keekorok Lodge in the Masai Mara. These were selected for their excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Nakuru, and the Hippo Bar, respectively.
