Emmy was in contact with us before our arrival so that we knew what to expect. He was very organized and clearly communicated all of our trip logistics so we never had to worry about a thing. He was friendly, prompt, easygoing and eager to share Rwanda with us. He truly wanted us to have a wonderful experience and we did.

Excellent safari
We enjoyed a 4-day safari at Maasai Mara National Reserve, our guide was Peter and the trip was organised by Titus. We were picked up on time in Nairobi. Peter drove safely and appropriately. Our accommodation was luxurious and the food was generous and varied.
We saw plenty of large mammals and birds. Peter made a great effort to ensure we saw a leopard (most difficult cat to find) and a couple of lions mating. We also saw a cheetah hunting. We learned a lot from Peter about this ecosystem and the behaviour of animals. The experience was safe and very enriching.
We also visited a Maasai village where we were royally welcomed by the locals who shared about their culture. We were very moved by their hospitality.
Throughout the trip, Titus was available to be contacted with questions, for example addition lr extra activities.

A - more than expected - Safary
We booked a 5-day safari through Junglroom, and everything was excellent from start to finish. Communication beforehand was smooth and straightforward. All necessary details were sent to us via email, including a clear overview of the itinerary and accommodations.
There were two package options: a budget safari or one with lodge stays. We chose the lodge version – and honestly, each accommodation exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness, quality, and friendliness. The lodges got better with each stop!
Our stays included the Jambo Lodge near the Maasai Mara, the Lake Nakuru Lodge, and finally the Sopa Lodge at Lake Naivasha.
This was our first trip to Africa, so everything was new to us – and we were positively surprised by it all.
We had Stanley as our guide, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better one. His professionalism and 20 years of experience were noticeable in every moment. He drove safely and confidently and knew the Maasai Mara like the back of his hand. He took us to hidden spots, and one highlight was seeing a family of elephants so close that it felt like you could almost touch them.
But Stanley wasn’t just an excellent safari guide – he was also incredibly helpful on a personal level. Whether we had questions about wildlife, Kenyan culture, or local life in general, he always answered with kindness and warmth. His friendly and calm demeanor made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. Even in some time-sensitive or slightly stressful moments, he stayed calm and coordinated everything quickly and professionally.
As a hobby photographer, I brought a good camera with a telephoto lens, even though we weren’t part of a dedicated photo group. Still, Stanley always made an effort to find the best position for a perfect shot. He constantly adjusted the vehicle's placement to ensure I could get breathtaking photos.
If I ever go on safari in Kenya again, I would absolutely want Stanley as my guide.
Overall, we were incredibly lucky with this experience. We saw 4 out of the Big Five – only the elusive leopard was missing. One unforgettable moment was witnessing a full lion hunt early one morning, as a pride brought down an old buffalo. But that wasn’t the only action: we also saw a failed lion chase on an eland and a successful one on a young zebra.
We also had beautiful moments at Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Hell’s Gate National Park.
All in all, the value for money was incredible – we truly couldn't have asked for more

When one of our hotels messed up the booking, Denis also helped us coordinate and resolve the issue. He went above and beyond his role as a guide.

We did the 4-day, 3-night budget safari with Golden Trips Safari, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!
Our guide and driver, Joseph, truly made the trip unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, always sharing interesting facts and insights about the wildlife and the parks. On top of that, he was kind, professional, and genuinely lovely to be around – we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!
Our cook was also an inspiring woman who impressed us every day with delicious meals, despite being out in the bush. The food was fresh, varied, and full of flavor — a real highlight of the trip.

Everything from the start of contacting Meijo went very smooth. Marselina, our first point of contact provided us with detailed itineraries , complete with a day-by-day plan, tips, and images of where we would stay. She also could tailor our plan to our needs and was easy to contact throughout.
Safari: Our guide Herman picked us up from the airport and right away you could sense the friendliness and professionalism. During the safari he was very knowledgeable, kind, and also an excellent driver. It was great to be guided by him. The food that was provided was also excellent, nice warm and healthy meals. I would frequently go for second rounds and the portions were more than enough.
Accommodation: the accommodation was also great. Both staying in a larger lodge, and also in tents in the middle of Serengeti. Facilities were good, food was excellent, everyone was very kind.
