Emmauel was the perfect tour gide.
Our familiy trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and to the Crater Lakes / Fort Portal was wonderful. It was a perfect guided tour and we felt safe in every moment. The accomodations were amazing and perfect choosen for our needs.
Thank you to Emmanuel for the best tour plan, thank you to our driver Karim, he managed every situation. We can recommend Gari Tours from the bottom of our heart, everything was authentic and we enjoyed the wonderful landscape in Uganda.

Very bad experience with Zamunda Tours & Safaris
We, a couple in our late 20s, would like to give our honest feedback on Zamunda Tours & Safaris.
First of all, we've only given positive feedback so far, but unfortunately, that doesn't apply to Zamunda Tours & Safaris.
Furthermore, we've experienced safaris before.
After paying a deposit of 25% of the quoted price, the service generally left a lot to be desired, specifically delayed responses (several days, previously immediate response).
Our safari began with an airport transfer in Zanzibar.
Our hotel there was near Makunduchi.
We were picked up by a taxi driver.
It was repeatedly discussed and firmly agreed with Zamunda Tours & Safaris that our luggage, which we didn't want to take with us on safari, would remain in Makunduchi and, after the safari, would be taken to our next hotel in Kendwa, including us.
Fortunately, the taxi driver informed us that if we left our luggage in Makunduchi, we would be taken from the airport to Makunduchi after the safari ended and then to our new hotel in Kendwa, even though we had arranged something completely different with Zamunda Tours & Safaris.
Since we didn't want to do that, as it would have involved a 4.5-hour drive after the flight, the taxi driver offered to take our luggage and store it at his home.
The next point of criticism concerns the pickup at the airport in Arusha.
Every safari company was there on time with a name sign upon arrival, except for Zamunda Tours & Safaris.
But that wasn't the only thing:
We were told on WhatsApp that Zamunda Tours & Safaris would be there.
A guide from another company eventually called and, since there was no response on the other line, passed the call on to us. I didn't receive a response either.
Zamunda Tours & Safaris finally showed up a few minutes later, and the remaining 75% was paid.
The offer advertises that the game drive begins immediately upon arrival and lasts until the evening.
We define a game drive as a drive in a national park with possible sightings of free-roaming and wild animals.
The first two hours involved driving on a highway, so it had little to do with a game drive.
In Tarangire National Park, we had a net game drive time of 3.5 hours, meaning it didn't last until the evening.
That evening, the next surprise came:
We had booked a lodge with a pool, but we ended up staying in a much cheaper lodge without a pool.
The next day, we were supposed to be on a game drive from morning to afternoon.
However, here too, our net game drive time was shorter (to be precise: four hours). This net time is still quite good, though, because we left the lodge as early as possible at our request.
The experiences in the two parks (Tarangire & Ngorongoro) were, of course, unique, but we would recommend everyone to book and take this trip with a different provider.
Zamunda Tours & Safaris also received this feedback personally, but all they offered was an apology and a lack of understanding at first.
Not to mention a small compensation, which would have been the least we could have done (downgrading our accommodation without being informed).

Excellent Safari!
Our safari to Saltlick Lodge was amazing. We joined a group of other travellers and we had lots of fun. Our driver John was so full of humour and so knowledgeable. Watching the elephants come to drink water at the water hole was very so fascinating!

Excellent communication and organisational skills
We had the pleasure of spending 5 remarkable days on safari with our guide and driver Jack Githinji.
Our journey took us through Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha and the Maasai Mara and it was made truly unforgettable thanks to Jacks outstanding professionalism, expertise and warmth.
He kept us engaged for hours with his stories of the animals we encountered, his knowledge hard to believe.
The Maasai is a vast place but he knew it like the back of his hand. No matter how challenging the conditions or how long the day had been he remained patient, focused and deeply committed to giving us the best possible experience. He would expertly adjust our route based on the latest sightings often using radio updates to ensure we never missed a moment.
Thank you enormously Jack, we’re in Zanzibar for the last leg of our holiday and miss you as a truly valuable travel companion. Axis as a company have provided amazing service and value for money, don't look anywhere else to book , Lucy you were brilliant, we’ll recommend you to everyone and Jack is irreplaceable so please look after him and all your fabulous guides..

Great guides to go around Kenya and Tanzania with!
Zakale Team helped us to organize a 3 week expedition around Kanya and Tanzania.
We have visited Masai Mara, Tsavo, Amboseli and Ngorongoro Crater.
Good communication, smooth travels between each stops (including the borders’ passings, what’s usually not easy in Africa) and really helpful with arranging best lodges in our budget ( we used a mix of mid-range with one splurge at the end😀
Highly recommended!

Flawless Experience Through Namibia & Botswana
I had an amazing 7-day trip organized by this agency — 5 days in Namibia and 2 in Botswana — and everything exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, the itinerary was perfectly planned and clearly documented. All the logistics ran smoothly: transfers were punctual, vehicles were spotless, and every local partner they work with was kind, helpful, and professional. The hotels were excellent — clean, comfortable, and carefully selected. I was especially impressed by how organized everything was, making the whole experience stress-free and memorable. Highly recommended!

The trip of our life !!!
An excellent safari . Before we even started, we had so much help from Petro regarding any question and requests we had.
Our driver Lamek picked us up early in Arusha and from that moment we didn’t knew what to expect. The driver was very friendly and knew so much about the territory and the animals. We were lucky to see so many animals in their natural environment. We saw the big five and so much more !! The food , the locations and everything else was just perfect! I found myself just smiling when we drove around on the game drives. Thank you again Lamek for our best trip ever. Worth every penny!!!

Perfect organization from start to end
Thanks to Tanzania specialist we could spend two wonderfull weeks at Tanzania and Zanzibar. Starting with a Safari though , Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, we had a lot of spectacular animal observations, allways guided and cared for by our excellent guide Nelson. If I should highlight something, i would take the two nights in the tented camp in the Serengeti, wherever all selected acommodations surpassed our expectations.
Nevertheless, if we would do this trip again, we would try to extend the stay in the tented camp and then take a direct flight from Serengeti over to Zanzibar.
The second week , we spent on Zanzibar island in the Karafuu beach Resort , enjoying especially the paradisiacal beach , friendly staff and excellent kitchen.
Only the All inclusive rate had some exceptions , what we didn't know from other hotels in Europe or Turkey but this could not spoil our overall good experience.

Safe, respectful and fun
Yasin, our guide and driver, did an excellent job.
He drove us safely through the chaotic Kenyan roads, was always on time and is a good person.
Important details for which we are very grateful for in his work.
- He was always respectful of the animals. Other drivers harass the animals, cut them off or disturb them, but Yasin was always careful not to disturb.
- Thanks to him we even saw the cheetah and the leopard. He went out of his way to find them so we could see them.
- He helped his fellow drivers when other drivers did not.
- On June 25 we were in a difficult situation due to protests in the country. Thanks to him, what could have ended badly was only a scare.
It should also be noted that sometimes, he is alerted by radio that a special animal or a “strange” situation appears, such as an animal that is difficult to see, a herd crossing a road or a group of lions eating something. At that point, he accelerates to that point, without saying anything except that he is going to accelerate. At first it may shock because in order not to create expectations, he doesn't inform, but he does it for the good of the group. We used to call it “lion mode” XD.

The most caring and personal tour operators I have experienced.
I started planning my safari vacation a year ahead and after reviewing several operators, I chose to go with Tapestry of Africa. Initially it was because of the quick response to my many queries, their patience with my constantly changing itinerary and their ability to immediately understand that this was a dream vacation for my family and I. Matt, Albert and Hilda worked with me patiently for 8 months on the most suitable itinerary, best accommodation within my budget and the experiences I was looking for - meticulously planning every minute detail. Matt’s input was invaluable and he sent me photos and videos of places, accommodations and experiences that we could have. I was indecisive about Lake Naivasha and Matt took a video of his boat ride on the lake to show me what it would be like! I was not sure of the lodge in Amboseli and Matt sent me a personal photo of his visit to Amboseli……The trip was perfect in every aspect thanks to Tapestry. In fact it was beyond expectation. There is not one thing I would change.
I have traveled extensively in many countries and I have worked with a lot of tour operators, but with Tapestry of Africa, I felt like I had a friend or family helping me plan this vacation.
From the day we landed in Nairobi till the day we returned home, someone from Tapestry was always checking in on us - was the drive ok, was the accommodation ok, how the safari was going, did we need anything….I felt I had a friend who was looking out for us at all times. Of course we saw a lot of animals, of course the places we visited were magical and the experience simply out of this world. But the best part of the vacation was the service and care provided by Tapestry. Hilda checked on us as we were waiting to board our return flight, after the vacation! I have never had a tour operator make sure I reached home safe and sound after the vacation! Hilda made sure we reached home! Along with helping plan the most perfect vacation, Tapestry will provide personal care and attention. They go above and beyond their call of duty.
We went to Kenya for a vacation and returned not only with fabulous memories and unforgettable moments but also with a deep bond with the team at Tapestry. Most tour operators will organize a safari vacation but Tapestry stands out as one that truly cares about their clients.
