Our guide is very experienced, and he shares information on animals we see, their habitat, types of species. Commodatives, good service and most importantly their driving skill is good and reliable. Will recommend it to my friends whoever want to come to Kenya.

Simple and honest company
5/5

We did a 4-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. The experience was amazing, though if we were to do it again, we’d definitely spend 3 full days in the Serengeti — the drive is long, but absolutely worth it and deserves more time.

A special mention goes to Elly, who took care of us from the start. He is genuinely honest and kind, and his helpfulness is not driven by expectations of tips, but by a real desire to make sure you have a great experience. That kind of sincerity is rare and truly appreciated.

We would absolutely recommend this company.

At paradise with Kalahari Tours
5/5

I spent three days two nights in the paradise that is Chobe National Park, guided by the fantastic and professional team from Kalahari Tours.

Our skillful and sharp guides, Free and Lance, kept us safe and informed every step of the way. The stories shared by them made the entire experience even more fulfilling and memorable.

MP, the wonderful chef, ensured we were well fed with delicious meals, and the thoughtful host, Meshack, made us feel right at home. Every detail was perfectly executed, making the experience truly exceptional.

We explored the park in an open vehicle, surrounded by awe-inspiring wildlife- leopards, giraffes, elephants, lionesses and many more - all watching us as we passed. Our guides gently reminded us to only step out for designated toilets stops, ensuring our safety while allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the wild beauty of Chobe.

It was more than a tour - it was an unforgettable encounter with nature.

Mr. Maliaki (Mali) was a fantastic guide, with a very mature and inspiring respect for the wild.
5/5

We spent a little over 6 days with Mali (Kilipath African safaris), and had a wonderful time -- so much so that he was truly a part of our group. With over 20 years of experience, Mali's knowledge of the savannah and the wildlife was very inspiring. He took us through off beat paths which few other guides knew of. We had amazing sightings of animals (and ecosystems within which multiple species coexisted), and almost all birdlife in Tanzania. He told us a lot of very inspiring stories of his experience with animals, right from his days of training. Overall, if you want a adventurous and safe safari experience with someone who cares about showing you the wild in all her natural beauty, ask for Mali. If we were to come back, we would ask for him to be our guide again.

Not all the people they arranged are well-trainned.
1/5

We visited South Africa with great expectations and engaged Mo Afrika Tours, a local company based in Johannesburg, with the hope of having a memorable and safe experience. Sadly, what happened on our arrival at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Sandton turned our trip into a nightmare.

At the entrance of the hotel, we were violently robbed at gunpoint by four men. My parents were physically assaulted — my dad sustained a nose injury, and my mum was hurt around my left eye. The trauma we endured is indescribable.

We believe that the driver arranged by Mo Afrika Tours was untrained and unfamiliar with their own procedures.
- He parked in a distant open-air lot instead of the car park directly across from the terminal, where other experienced drivers would park, causing us to walk a considerable distance with all our luggage.
- He struggled with basic vehicle functions, including how to open the trunk, delaying our departure further.
- He left us unattended in the car to pay for parking, which took longer than expected — all this in an area vulnerable to crime.

Only later did we discover that our assigned experienced driver was unavailable, and instead, an assistant operator of the company with no proper driver training had taken over. Shockingly, the tour company just denied their responsibility for their negligence regarding our safety, despite being aware of the local risks. Such negligence is inexcusable from a company claiming to provide secure travel services despite some post-incident support provided.

The hotel’s lack of visible security presence also raises serious concerns about guest safety. After the incident happened, we knew from the hotel’s security team that firearms are easily accessible in South Africa. This revelation only deepened our concern — if the hotel’s own security team is aware of the risk, why weren’t there more proactive measures in place to protect their guests, especially right at the front entrance where many arrive? The hotel staff had witnessed us frantically trying to get their attention, but no one took any action. I will never forget the four receptionists’ eyes that saw us asking for help but did nothing.

We do appreciate the post-incident support they provided. However, it is hard to overlook that, in the crucial moments of our arrival, the hotel’s lack of visible security and proactive measures left us vulnerable.

We’re sharing our experience not out of bitterness, but to warn other travellers. Your safety should never be compromised — and unfortunately, trusting these companies came at a great personal cost to us.

No security at the hotel entrance. No protection from the tour company that left us vulnerable in the car. Just fear and trauma.

If you’re planning to visit, please be cautious. A dream trip can turn into a nightmare when safety isn’t treated as a priority by those you trust.

Amazing Safari Experience!
5/5

We had a wonderful time on our 7 day safari which included Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Samburu. John was an amazing guide who took very good care of us and showed us so many amazing animals! We saw baby elephants playing and rarely seen animals such as leopards and a cheetah feasting on a gazelle.
