Ombeni was an excellent driver and guide — very safe, well-organized, and incredibly good at spotting animals. Thanks to him, we were able to see a wide variety of wildlife up close, far beyond our expectations. His explanations were clear and informative, and he was always kind, friendly, and fun to be around.

The best guide ever
We had an absolutely amazing safari experience, and our guide Ombeni made it truly unforgettable.
He is an excellent driver who made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. What impressed us the most was his incredible ability to spot animals — often before anyone else noticed them. His knowledge about wildlife and nature is outstanding, and his explanations were always clear, informative, and easy to understand.
He managed the schedule perfectly, making sure we had enough time at every spot without feeling rushed.
On top of that, he is a fantastic photographer and helped us take many great photos, making sure we captured special moments we would have otherwise missed. He is also extremely kind, patient, and thoughtful, always checking that we were enjoying the experience.
Thanks to Ombeni, our safari was not just a tour, but a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend requesting Ombeni as your guide if possible. You will not regret it.

Amazing operator, couldn’t have wished for a better game drive
An unforgettable safari and with amazing team and guide, the guide had expert knowledge as well as being extremely experienced, I don’t think it’s possible to see more elephants than we did, I would highly recommend using Meerkat expeditions as you’re safari company.

Our journey through Ethiopia with Hidden Ethiopia Tours was truly unforgettable. The company was extremely professional, well organized, and reliable from start to finish, making the entire trip smooth, comfortable, and safe.
We explored Lalibela and its surroundings, Bahir Dar, Gondar, the Tigray rock-hewn churches, Axum, the Danakil Depression, Addis Ababa, and the Omo Valley. The Lalibela rock-hewn churches were absolutely amazing and deeply spiritual.
A special thanks to our guide, Ayalew, who truly made this journey exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, patient, and passionate about Ethiopia’s history, culture, and people. Ayalew went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect and that we fully understood and enjoyed each destination.

Best experience ever!! Very well organised
Absolutely amazing safari experience from start to finish. We were lucky enough to spot the Big Five, often from very close up, which made it truly unforgettable. Our tour guide Kevin was highly experienced and shared valuable educational knowledge and insights throughout the safari, while also being incredibly friendly, kind, and patient and made the trip evenbetter. The accommodation and food were excellent, and everything was perfectly organised from pick-up , journey to the park, during the safari, through to drop-off at the hotel. We couldn’t fault a single thing, hands down one of the best if not the best experiences we’ve ever had and would highly recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris to anyone.

Sote Tours and Travel is a local company that goes above and beyond!
We had such an amazing time. Everything was very well planned, even the transfer at the beginning and the departure after the tour. Reuben was very thoughtful and made sure he could always meet our orders. We were fortunate to spot many giraffes, elephants, lions and a lot of other animals, a beautiful experience that I strongly advise everyone to try visiting Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Serengeti.
We were also accompanied by another guide, Said, with whom we got a chance to do some extra excursions in Zanzibar. He was always very helpful, efficient, and kind, and we felt completely at ease with him. It is an experience we would confidently recommend and happily repeat.
Besides that, we had dinner with Kelvin, the head of the company, who gave us the chance to find out more about the local area, how the safaris are organized, and their general philosophy in short, we recommend this company without any doubt.
