The Trip of a Lifetime
After many years of considering it, I finally decided to move forward with my first safari. My friend and I wanted a company that would make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Kojuu delivered on all fronts. From the start our tour coordinator, Losim, handled all of the details and made the adjustments we requested. The communication flowed smoothly throughout and all of our questions before and during the tour were responded to promptly.
Our driver guide during the safari, Bariki, was spectacular. He took care of all of our needs and always checked in to make sure we were comfortable. He also made every effort to ensure that we saw as many species as possible, while also giving us ample time to rest. We always felt like we had the best guide taking us around. Our driver and our tour guide in Zanzibar were also kind and accommodating.
The properties we stayed at were top notch. Gorgeous views, extremely attentive staff, and beautiful accommodations. We fell in love with the people and culture of Tanzania. I will definitely be recommending Kojuu to my family and friends.

We did a 12-day safari across Kenya and Uganda (Gorilla trekking, Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli) in January 2026 and it exceeded expectations. The guides were exceptional: deeply knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate. They ensured we learned not only about wildlife, but also about local cultures, traditions, and daily life, which made the trip truly immersive.

5 Day Adventure with Gorilla & Chimp Trekking
I recently completed a 5 day vacation with Deluxe Vacations Uganda (including gorilla and chimpanzee treks), and it was the perfect experience from start to finish. The owner of the agency, Mr. Godwin Naturinda, is super prompt and responsive to any questions, and my driver/guide Mr. Emmanuel ensured that everything ran smoothly during the trip. The itinerary allowed me to see so many places in Uganda (game drives at Lake Mburo NP, scenic boat rides at Lake Bunyoni in addition to the trekking), which is one of the reasons why I chose this operator. Mr. Emmanuel knew the roads very well and was always on time. We even took a "shortcut" where we drove through Queen Elizabeth NP and got to see elephants! Because of the busy itinerary, I greatly appreciated having every detail taken care of, and it was well worth the money I spent for a private guide. Uganda is a beautiful country, and of course the gorilla trekking is magical!
I traveled as a solo female from the US, and I felt completely safe during the entire trip. (This was also my first time in Africa.)
