Best Uganda Safari Ever – Davis & Wide Birding Eco Tours Delivered a Dream Trip! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just back from an unforgettable 9-day/8-night adventure with Wide Birding Eco Tours, and it was hands-down the highlight of my travels in Uganda! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As a mix of local and international travelers, we wanted a balanced wildlife/birding safari with gorilla and chimp trekking—and this itinerary nailed it perfectly, at a fair and transparent price.
Our guide, Davis, was the star of the show. His expertise shone through every day: incredible bird knowledge (we spotted so many colorful species and rarities across diverse habitats), uncanny timing for animal appearances, and genuine passion that made every drive exciting. He was punctual, honest, super flexible (adapting seamlessly to our requested changes), and always put our interests first. Davis's deep craft knowledge ensured maximum sightings without rushing. 🦍🦅🦁🦓🐗🐊🐃🐘🦏🐒🦒
The itinerary was packed but well-paced: powerful Murchison Falls (top-of-falls views + Nile boat cruise), thrilling chimp tracking in Kibale, game drives and Kazinga Channel boat in Queen Elizabeth (hippos galore!), the magical gorilla trek in Bwindi (up-close hour with a family—life-changing!), relaxing Lake Bunyonyi. Birding was phenomenal throughout, with aquatic birds, raptors, and forest specials.
Logistics were spot-on: comfortable customized Land Cruiser with pop-up roof and fridge, basic but clean/scenic lodges, tasty included meals, and all permits/activities covered. Wide Birding felt ethical and reliable—great value compared to bigger operators.
If you're eyeing Uganda for wildlife, birds, or primates, book with Wide Birding Eco Tours and request Davis. He made our trip the best—flexible, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend! Thank you, Davis and team!

A memorable moment in Africa
This is the first time of me and my wife to visit Africa for the safari. We chose Savannah Explorers and they deployed their guide - Isaac Long to be our leader in this adventure. He is a well-experienced and knowledgeable guide with over 15 years safari experience for answering any questions about the culture, history and animals in Tanzania. I and my wife were excited to meet animals in a very close distance, even with the baby lions and cheetahs! We did enjoyed every moments in these few days with the foods, accommodations and game drive.

Beautiful and Fun Trip
Livingston and Godlove were fantastic tour guides. They answered all of the animal facts we asked and participated in our car karaoke during the drives between parks. They were very good at spotting difficult to see animals. We saw all of the big five, but I was just as excited by some of the other hard to spot animals like the Jackal and the DikDik.
We also had a photographer, Chizooh, who did a spectacular job. It took off the pressure from is to photograph everything and just enjoy looking at the animals and the nature.
Many of the animals have resting spots near the road, so you get to see animals much closer than you would expect. But don’t skimp on the binoculars! Those are still important.
The accommodations were all great. Each place was clean and provided dinner and breakfast that were much better than normal hotel food.
The food for lunch exceeded expectations. It was real food in insulated serving containers that we ate as a group. It included rice, vegetables in sauce, and a variety of meat options. All of the flavors were really good. It tasted like a home cooked meal.
Overall it was a great experience!

A beautiful experience
From Italy, we organised the safari with the very kind Marzia, who gave us advice and assistance at all times. Thank you!
In Africa, we were welcomed by our guide in Tanzania, Ballo, a young man who gave us unforgettable experiences, telling us anecdotes and teaching us about the culture, and above all, who was uniquely friendly.
Thank you, Ballo.

Fantastic trip for a solo traveler
Peak Cruise Safaris gave me the best deal for a personalised one-week trip to Uganda. Jennifer immediately answered all my questions and gave me options to fit my preferences, she also gave me payment facilities.
The trip went as planned with a very professional and safe driver and guide, flexible to provide me with the best options, comfortable van, very good accommodations even in the budget option, and excursions that made me enjoy the trip a lot.
I hope to repeat with them in Rwanda or in another area of Uganda.

INCREDIBLE safari experience
We chose incredible Africa Adventures as they are a local company with extremely good response rates and honest pricing and what was included. Octavian answered all of our questions and provided a hotel stay before and after our adventure. The trip was well worth the money and this company is very reasonably priced. We initially did a Kilimanjaro climb with the company and added on a four day Safari to the Tanangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our safari guide, Josephat, was extremely knowledgeable and was with us the entire ride. We saw every animal we wanted to see and the lodges chosen by the company were amazing and added to the once in a lifetime experience. Airport pick up and drop off was included and due to a late flight they even arranged for us to have dinner and a shower before our flight home.
I wish I could give this company 10/5 stars for their exemplary service, attentiveness, and family orientated demeanor.

Our Magical Tanzanian Adventure
There are so many companies that offer you the 'safari experience of a lifetime' - where do you even start?
We opted for Paul and Life Journey Experience based on a number of things: initially we based the first contact on the reviews from previous clients; following that, his amazingly quick response and availability both via email and whatsapp then, most importantly, as he is a small company, we felt we would get a more personalised service. We also preferred putting our money into a smaller set up where we hoped the monies paid for the trip would trickle down to all employees. We were not disappointed on any front!
From the moment that Paul met us at the airport, he could not do enough for us. We spent the most amazing first day of our trip in Arusha, being shown around the town and then visiting the market with a Masai guide - a fantastic experience that Paul organised and we thoroughly enjoyed.
The following morning we set off on our safari with Amos - our guide. He was without doubt the magic in our safari! His knowledge of wildlife, geology and history was never-ending, his 'spotting abilities' were amazing and our time spent on safari will be in our hearts and memories for a long time to come.
Paul organised our trip and tailored it to our whims and fancies (poor man), our chopping and changing of dates and times as our arrival date kept moving around and not once was anything too much trouble.
Our accommodation was exactly what we had envisioned - we stayed in small migration camps that were very low key - our favourite being Kontiki Ndutu.
We just can't recommend Paul highly enough. Over the course of our time in Tanzania, we met a number of his employees all of whom spoke very highly of him and said what a 'really good and genuine guy' he is. Our experience also supported this point of view!
Thanks to Paul and his incredible team, our safari exceeded every expectation and we just can't recommend him highly enough.
Paul - hopefully we will see you again - we're going to get into training for our Mount Kilimanjaro climb....but only if Amos comes too!

Great 5 day safari with Kenedy
We had a really great jam-packed tour with Safari Soles. They managed to take us to Tangirire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorogoro in the 5 days, so we got to see 3 really different landscapes. We really loved all the accommodations they put us up in and the hot lunches were a great touch. Kenedy was an amazing guide, always very friendly, reliable and upbeat and he took note of things we were interested in. The hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti was a really special experience and we would definitely recommend.

Exceptional and attention to detail
I had an excellent experience with Peaks & Safaris. Communication was prompt and clear from the beginning, making the planning process easy and stress-free. The service during the trip was well organized, reliable, and exceeded expectations.
The tour itself was fantastic, with great attention to detail and very good value for money. Everything ran smoothly, and the overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. I would highly recommend Peaks & Safaris to anyone looking for a well-run and trustworthy safari company.

The best week of our lives
Simply incredible from start to finish, our guide Kush has made this week the best one of our lives. We’ve seen every animal (and more) that we hoped for and had every single question answered along the way. Kush is so knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and that made all the difference to our trip. The tour felt carefully planned with the animals welfare always a top consideration for Kush, which was important for us. The hotels we stayed in were all unique and beautiful and getting to visit 3 different parks meant we saw so many different animals and environments.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the 7-day private tour that we have had and if you end up with Kush, count yourselves VERY lucky.
