Trip of a lifetime- absolutely Brilliant!
5/5

We did a custom mid-luxury package with Brilliant Safaris and had a truly incredible time. We did 5 nights on safari on mainland Tanzania, followed by 5 nights in a luxury beach resort in Nungwi, Zanzibar.

On our safari we spent a day in Taranagire National Park, two and a half days in Serengeti and a day in the Ngorongoro crater. We saw so many animals up close, including two prides of lions, a hippo territory fight, a newborn baby giraffe, and so many others including the big 5. All of the accommodation was fantastic with a highlight being the two nights spent in Into the Wild camp with a group of buffalo congregating outside our tent. We had been nervous about food but it was all amazing, with plenty of choice for every meal.

We had booked a private tour so we had our driver and jeep to ourselves and had lots of space with really high quality food and snacks the whole way through.

Our driver George was incredible. His knowledge of the animals and the parks was remarkable. He taught us a lot about Tanzanian cultures (including our new favourite song Jambo Bwana).

He was so flexible and accommodating, always really patient with us being slightly late and finding a way for us to get the best experience possible at all times, knowing when to wait and when to move onto the next exciting adventure. He had such a lovely manner about him, a true gentleman.

We really enjoyed Zanzibar, and could have spent longer there!
Our hotel was great, with wonderful staff, lots of lovely activities like volleyball, a village walk, and leaf weaving with the ground staff.
The food was excellent, lots of choice, and amazing fresh fruits used in drinks at the bar.
We did two tours from the hotel- to a spice farm at which we learned so much, and a dolphin and snorkelling boat trip which was amazing.

Julieth from Brilliant Safaris was incredible from start to finish. She accommodated a number of changes to our itinerary, took care of internal flights, car transfers, Luggage storage- the works!
She had lots of information about vaccines, visas, what to pack et cetera which was so helpful.

Overall we had a Brilliant Safari 😉 Would absolutely book with this company again!

Amazing tour and experience!
5/5

We had a great time in our honeymoon trip. Got to see so many amazing animals, even so many lion cubs! I think we saw 18 lions in one day which was a highlight as there was a big pride with little ones we got to see. We were very lucky on our trip but we also had an amazing driver, Gadiel who I highly recommend. Tanzania Roadside Expeditions is an excellent company that is reliable, provides great communication and listens to the customer to help customize the experience if you’d like to or can make great recommendations whenever needed. 10/10 recommend.

Great 3 day gorilla and golden monkey trekking
5/5

We did 3 day tour for gorilla trekking in Bwindi and golden monkey trekking in Volcano national park. It was an awesome trip. Jennifer organized the trip and she was super responsive and answered all my questions right away. Victor was our driver guide and he was super nice and told us all about the wildlife and culture. I’m glad we chose peak cruise safaris.

Beautiful Safari
5/5

We had an amazing 3-day safari experience at Nyerere National Park! The highlight was definitely the boat safari on the Rufiji River, where we got to see countless hippos and crocodiles up close in their natural environment – truly breathtaking.

The full-day game drive was equally incredible. We were lucky enough to spot everything we had hoped for: elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions, warthogs, antelopes, and of course, more crocodiles. It was like living a dream, surrounded by the beauty of African wildlife.

On the last day, we enjoyed a fun and unique walking safari in the bush with a Bushman, which gave us a completely different perspective of the park and its ecosystem.

Our accommodation was clean, comfortable, and very functional – we couldn’t have asked for better. The food was delicious, fresh, and authentic. We were always provided with packed lunches during the safaris, and even for the transfer back to the airport, which was a thoughtful touch.

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting safari adventure that combines incredible wildlife encounters with great value for money.

Very little knowledge
3/5

Coffee and lunch experience were nice.

A thing to do with Addis and history was not informative, I was reading what was written in the museum. I understand it was Sunday but there are few things to see in Addis which are outdoors. I think very much depends on the tour guide you get.

I hope they will improve the service going forward.

Couldn’t recommend more
5/5

I couldn’t recommend this company more. I did a 4 day safari and I had 2 different guides which were both so knowledgeable. Mountain warriors really helped me specially on my last night in Kilimanjaro when my flight had to be readjusted. They let me stay at their office in a room with a bathroom to sleep a few hours and the chef cooked some food. I had the best experience possible in seeing all the animals this that I’ve just mentioned as well. Rosemary thank you so much for everything. I wish I could give you another tip. Asante sana!!

Incredible safari experience with Beyond Plains, Felix and Kevin!
5/5

We had the most incredible safari experience with Beyond Plains, and I cannot recommend them enough. Kevin, our guide, was absolutely amazing — laser-focused, intuitive, and deeply passionate about what he does. He always took the path less traveled, ensuring we had unique and unforgettable sightings.

Thanks to him, we experienced two leopard sightings in Masai Mara, watched a lioness with her cubs in Ol Pejeta, and even had the rare privilege of witnessing a cheetah take down an impala in Masai Mara — with just us and the ranger vehicle present. These moments were beyond special and truly showcased Kevin’s expertise and instinct.

A big shoutout also goes to Felix, who crafted our itinerary so beautifully. Everything was seamless from start to finish, and together the team made this trip exceptional.

We’re already dreaming of a Uganda/Rwanda adventure next year and will definitely be planning it again with Felix and Kevin. Beyond Plains has built an incredible ecosystem of people who genuinely care about creating unforgettable experiences.

Awesome experience
5/5

Michele and I really enjoyed a great 7 day safari with Daniel. Comms with Robert setting up our trip was also spot on. Highlights for us were Amboseli and Masai Maara - so much to see. Daniel was superb at getting us up close to animals as well as taking care of the logistics. He was very easy to talk with and we learned so much. We had nothing but positive experiences including accommodation, food and trying a little Swahili with the locals. Totally recommend.

Super
5/5

Hi Patrick and Lennox,
Sanyi and Min are here.
The trip we just had is unbelievable amazing. The things we saw, the service we got from our hotel personnel and the food prepared for us are met and even exceeded our initial expectation. We are so happy to have Mike, Isaack as our tour guides and drivers. They are so professional and very knowledgeable. In Kenya our car usually was the last vehicle drive on the road in the group. But Mike was very good at to find the best spot for us to observe the wild animals. Mike and Isaack are very patient to unswerving our questions and sometimes they even spelled the animals name to us. A big thank to Patrick. You arranged an extra city tour for us on the day we were leaving Arusha. Min and me don’t have a word to express our satisfaction for this trip. It is just super. If you have to ask an area can be improved I would say the condition of the hotel at third place we stayed in Kenya could be a little bit better. The food there are excellent, the cabin sleeping area are fine. The only thing can be better is the cabin shower area. It is a little bit wear and tear. Anyway, overall as whole trip we will give 10 out of 10 for its grade and we have no hesitation to recommend your company to our friends and our daughters if they plan go to Africa. Good luck to both of you.
Cheers,
Sanyi and Min

Best experience
5/5

We did a 7 day safari to the Serengeti and had such a great time. We chose the mid-range option and the lodges were fantastic. We loved the camps in the Serengeti as you’re completely immersed in nature. Eric was great at helping tailor our itinerary and was very responsive. Our guide Godi was also awesome - he was kind, knowledgeable and great at spotting animals. Overall, we had a trip of a lifetime and would highly recommend Msangai and Godi as your guide!
