Quickly attentive to last minute changes
My 4 day tour to Kruger was cancelled the day before because the Limpopo River flooded. This wonderful company quickly changed my reservation to Pilanesberg NP at the beautiful Kwa Maratine Lodge. They also changed my flight to go instead to Johannesburg and supplied a good driver for the 2.5 hour return transfer. All these arrangements were completed in 4 hours. I could not fault it and would definitely travel with them again. They kept in touch all through via WhatsApp.

Best Guide best company for Kilimanjaro Climb
My friend and I did 6 days Kilimanjaro Climb via The Machame Route for 6 days and The whole Team was Super Helpful and Friendly from Answering our queries 24/7 available to Day one to day 6 everything went really Smoothly and professionally!! Compass Odyssey were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. I came across the website when doing research for a trip to Africa that was both safari and other adventures and felt that the Southern Africa itinerary was the type of thing we were after. We are normally independent travellers but knew we needed some expert input for the best experience in a relatively short time. We really appreciated the wealth of information provided to assist us in finalising the itinerary for our family of 4 (parents plus two teens). All the suggestions from Darren & Kate were spot on.
From the moment we arrived in Joburg til the day we left we felt supported but with the flexibility to adapt where needed. All our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, as well as putting up with endless questions on all topics. We did a lot in the two weeks but the pace was maintainable with balanced time between drives, river tours and other adventures such as the Devils Pool and rafting at Vic Falls. The accommodation was all amazing and exactly the type of thing we would’ve chosen ourselves. And the service provided at each location was also above and beyond. None of us could fault the trip and while it wasn’t of course cheap, the costs were always clearly spelt out and we know exactly what was and wasn’t included. Compass Odyssey were happy to work within our budget at all times. The safaris themselves were beyond description and despite it being summer with lots of growth we saw the big 5 plus many, many other creatures large and small. We will definitely return to Africa and 100% would use Compass Odyssey to assist us. If you are thinking about a trip- do it!!

Volunteering on the Malawi Medical Volunteer Program with Go Volunteer Africa was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. As a female volunteer, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely welcomed by both the local team and the community from the very first day. The program was well organized, and Go Volunteer Africa provided clear guidance before arrival, which made the transition into a new country and healthcare setting much smoother.
Working alongside local medical professionals was incredibly eye-opening and rewarding. I was able to assist with basic clinical tasks, patient care, and health education while learning a lot about Malawi’s healthcare system and the challenges it faces. The patients were kind, grateful, and inspiring, and every day felt purposeful. Even with limited resources, the dedication of the local staff was truly admirable.
Outside the hospital, the cultural immersion was just as impactful. I loved connecting with local people, learning about Malawian traditions, and exploring the beautiful surroundings. The accommodation and meals were simple but comfortable, and I always felt well looked after.
I would highly recommend the Malawi Medical Volunteer Program with Go Volunteer Africa to any woman looking to make a real difference while gaining hands-on medical experience and cultural exposure. This program not only strengthened my skills and confidence but also changed my perspective on global health and service.

Communication, service, value for money was all great with Samora Explorers. But when you have a driver who takes that extra step. A guide with you, who is an absolute problem solver. Has the knowledge of all the parks. Who doesn't simply drive you around, but leads and knows the area well. That makes the experience very special. In advance of our trip Alex provided detailed information. He also assisted with us obtaining our Kenya visas. They are locally owned and operated. I highly recommend them.

The best
Very good visit, fiability and availabilty, an unforgettable experience, Winnie took care of the whole process perfectly. Kelvin Mimi was the best tour operator, very kind, was very caring, we were able to see the big five and the ugly five, he knows the masai Mara like his back of his hand. I highly recommend, there is no better value for money.
