Great provider. If you look nowhere else, you won't be disappointed
We had a custom 6-day safari with the great migration and an extension in Zanzibar organized by Renatus, curated by Jackson and guided by Ernest. Safari Soles is a great team, extremely responsive, prompt and reassuring.
Thanks to Ella McKendrick, we received estimates from a handful of companies, but Safari Soles always stood out by being the quickest to respond, the most flexible, the most transparent and the leading edge on value for money. Our decision process was laborious because we knew we would probably only get on go at a safari, but Safari Soles was always the most patient and helpful with us, and this carried through the entire safari.
Our guide was Ernest who we would ask for again if we went back, and who we highly recommend. We developed deep trust in Ernest's instincts, but also his manner. He was always patient with us, knowledgeable, prepared, punctual and extremely friendly. Ernest always kept us informed about what was going on and why we were going where we were going, and he never tired of our constant questions. It was a pleasure to share that time with him and we consider him a friend.
All our accommodations worked exactly as they were explained to us. We didn't have to worry about anything but showing up. All our questions during the trip were promptly answered by Jackson and the staff at the office, and everything was clear.

Excellent service during a 7-night safari trip
Just returned from a 7-night safari trip in Zimbabwe booked through Cuckoo Safaris and they were fabulous to work with. I had so many questions and had to make several changes but Tatenda was always patient and willing to help.
After being picked up at Victoria Falls airport, we spent two nights at the Hwange Safari Lodge. We had three game drives during the two days and saw amazing animals. Our guide, Laz, was informative and knowledgeable. The lodge itself was beautiful and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We are not fans of buffet meals and unfortunately, they seem to be the standard at hotels in Zimbabwe. We were able to order from an a la carte menu, and while it was limited, the food was good. The lodge has a watering hole in the back, so wildlife viewing was abundant right on the property.
We transferred back to the town of Victoria Falls and stayed at the wonderful Samanzi boutique hotel. This is perhaps the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Only 16 rooms, each with pool access and sun beds, and a beautiful attention to detail. The food here was wonderful, including cooked-to-order breakfast in addition to self-serve items. While in Victoria Falls, we had a tour of the falls with a terrific guide Simon; he was also able to assist us with several errands. We also had a sunset cruise hosted by Pure Africa which included canapes & drinks; the local gin is wonderful. Finally, we had an evening game drive & BBQ at the Stanley & Livingston game reserve. Our guide, Africa, did an excellent job and the food was tasty. We had one completely free day, and which we enjoyed relaxing at the hotel.
Finally, we transferred to the Cresta Mowana Safari Resort in Kasane, Botswana. Our driver, Shelton, handed us off to his counterpart in Botswana who helped us with the border crossing. We really appreciated this assistance; we could have done it on our own but having his experience made the process simple. We had two game drives in Chobe National Park that were guided by Figo. He did a good job with the drive but was perhaps a bit fast; however, this may have been because he knew we had seen a lot in Hwange and was specifically trying to find us a leopard. Cresta Mowana was our least favorite lodging location due to its size and food quality. This property seemed to cater to large bus groups and didn’t seem to know what to do with a group of just 2 people. Our final activity was a boat safari guided by July who was excellent finding and getting great views of the animals. He was very knowledgeable about the different species of wildlife. This was one of our favorite activities because we were able to see the animals from a different perspective.
We had one more transfer back to Victoria Falls airport with Shelton. Both he and Simon were excellent at sharing the local culture and customs. We enjoyed learning from them and getting a broader world view.
Throughout the entire trip we were able to be in contact with the Cuckoo Safari office through WhatsApp. All our questions were quickly answered, and concerns were addressed. I would recommend using them and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again in the future. A huge thank you to all their staff for make our trip to Zimbabwe so memorable.

Immaculate organisation, great experiences, spot on communication and excellent tour guide
Our family of 5 (kids between 11 and 15) was perfectly taken care of right from the initial planning through to organisation and execution. The communication through Jamie Carew was excellent and the execution of our tour through our tour guide Frank was outstanding. The tour was tailored to our needs, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and attentive to our family requirements. Perfect mix of culture, nature and information. Frank facilitated for our special wishes where possible, was super knowledgeable and reliable and gave us always enough space to enjoy our privacy as a family when needed while always being there for us. Couldn't have wished for anything better.

Unforgettable experience, 3-day safari
A 100% recommended experience that you will remember all your life.
We visited Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.
I really liked visiting a different park every day, since it allows you to see a variety of environments and animals.
Every day we had a different guide, all of them really great. They care that the visit is unforgettable and that you see the largest number of animals in a respectful way. During the tour they explain a lot of things about the fauna of the place and try to answer any questions you may have.
The lodge where we stayed (Marera Valley) is wonderful, I totally recommend it

Great Safaris
We did a 3 night/4 day safari in Kruger Park. Simon was our tour guide and he was amazing!! He had extensive knowledge about the park and the animals. He was an excellent guide and highly recommend him. We saw everything we hoped to. The day and evening rides within the park were great. You'll love it!!

Our safari experience went beyond anything we could have imagined.
Honeymoon of a Lifetime
Our safari with Emmy Safaris & Tours was nothing short of incredible. From the very first moment, the team was amazing in helping us design and adapt the safari to create our dream honeymoon experience. They were professional, caring, and attentive throughout the entire process, from planning to the very last day of our trip.
One of the highlights of our journey was our private chef, Omar. He blew us away with the most delicious, fresh meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — every single day was something new and exciting. Watching other safari groups unpack basic lunch boxes with sandwiches made us so happy that we chose the right company. Even other guests at the camps came over to tell us how incredible our meals looked — and they were right! 🍳🥘
Our guide and driver, Tony, was simply outstanding. His deep knowledge of the wildlife, incredible patience, and the way he always made us feel safe and cared for truly made our safari unforgettable. He answered all our endless questions with a smile and worked tirelessly to make sure we had the best possible experience and photos. I would recommend Tony to absolutely anyone looking to experience a once-in-a-lifetime safari — he genuinely went above and beyond for us.
The overall safari itself was breathtaking. We did a 6-day private safari covering Tarangire, Serengeti, North Serengeti (to witness the Great Migration crossing the Mara River), and Ngorongoro Crater. Each place was stunning in its own way, and it’s hard to put into words — you simply have to experience it yourself.
• Tarangire amazed us with its elephants and unique landscapes.
• Serengeti was probably our favorite, especially getting so close to lions — just 2 meters away! My wife was moved to tears three times: first by a lioness with her three cubs, then a majestic male lion, and finally a pair of lions together. Seeing such powerful animals up close is something you never forget.
• Ngorongoro Crater was like stepping into another world, though we didn’t spot the rhino this time — giving us the perfect excuse to return!
We saw 4 of the Big 5 and countless other animals. Even though we missed the rhino, we felt nothing but gratitude for what we did see.
I highly recommend going for a private safari rather than a shared one — it makes a huge difference in the experience. If you can, upgrade some of your stays so you can truly enjoy them by starting early and finishing early each day. Our upgraded stays were incredible, but even the standard accommodations arranged by Emmy Safaris were beautiful and close to nature.
Before booking, I spent a lot of time researching — comparing 50+ different safari companies. In the end, Emmy Safaris & Tours stood out not only for their excellent pricing but also because they genuinely listened and worked with my budget and expectations. They never pressured me to add extra days or upgrades but instead focused on creating the perfect trip for us.
Now, after seeing how other companies operated during our safari, I am 100,000% sure I made the right choice. Everything exceeded our expectations, and for that, we are truly grateful.
Thank you again, Emmy Safaris & Tours, for giving us a honeymoon and safari experience we will remember for the rest of our lives.
