Exceptional
Had once in a lifetime experience, seeing the African culture, animals and landscape. Our guide Damien was AMAZING, he made sure we saw the big five and everything else we wanted to see. He made sure the car was clean and ready each day. His knowledge and experience made the experience unique and exceptional. The accomodation we stayed at each night were beautiful, clean and so hospitable. It was beyond what we expected and the overall service was exceptional.

A great option for a budget safari in Maasai Mara
We did a 2-night 3-day safari in Maasai Mara: it was an overall fantastic experience, especially thanks to our driver-guide Steve, who is very passionate about his job, funny and always smiling. Thanks to him, we stayed in the park longer than most other groups and we managed to see lots of animals and different sceneries.
The accommodation was fine for the price, pretty basic but clean; the food served at dinner was very good.
The safari car was comfortable for the whole group.
The only downside of our tour was the pickup, because instead of a taxi, a guy with no identification was sent to pick us up from our hotel and made us walk to the departure point.
Overall, excellent quality-price ratio.

Perfect safari experience
We've done a 3D/2N safari in Nyerere National Park organized by Kihindo Tours and Safaris.
Everything was perfect from the first contact till the end of the safari.
I've made an enquiry through safaribookings and they've replied almost instantly by email & WhatsApp.
We've set all the details through WhatsApp, they were very quick to answer all my questions (specific on the tour itself or general enquires related to other "issues" I had when planning my holidays).
Everything was very clear and straightforward - price, payment, tour details, accommodation (they offered a few alternatives to choose from).
As for the tour itself, again, everything was perfect:
- the transport from Dar es Salaam was done with a private Toyota Avanza that offered all the comfort for the 4-5 hour drive
- the accommodation was very good, as it was described and as in the pictures provided
- the safari was done with a dedicated safari car - for us it was way better than the transformed Toyotas with an open rooftop where you need to stand up
- the guides that we had were very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and tried their best to see as many animals as possible
- we did see a lot of animals
As a conclusion, I cannot say anything bad about the company or the tour. We had a great time, a lifetime memory.

Perfect Experience
It was a reasonably priced tour and I was very satisfied.
The pickup was delayed due to traffic, but that was no problem.
The staff and guides were very polite.
The camp I stayed at was even better than I had imagined.
If I have the chance, I would love to book a safari here again.

Serengeti and Ngorongoro Budget Safari
We chose to do the budget safari option for the Serengeti and crater and it was the best decision we have made. We had Jerome who set up everything for us and answered all questions we had before the trip which was amazing, such a kind human! We also had Daniel and Dulla as our guide and chef which they were hands down the best ever. We went into this not knowing what to expect much and a little nervous for camping in the middle of no where surrounded by lions but I would most definitely do it this way again as it is such a great experience and truly life changing seeing all the animals in their habitat. They made us feel safe and answered any questions we had. It is true that you hear lions in your campsite overnight which was to say the least a funny experience. We also saw a hippo the next morning as we were leaving early on our gamedrive. We saw every animal we could've dreamed of in the crater and Serengeti. Daniel was amazing with his knowledge about all animals and knew the Serengeti perfectly. It truly was the best trip we could've ever asked for and I will never forget it. Thank you for an amazing time again already trying to plan my next adventure with Meru Slopes!:)

The most exciting adventure
We had the most wonderful experience on our safari with Six and Seven Tours. David and the whole team were so kind and thoughtful and planned a wonderful tour for us through Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater (4.5 days in total). Our lovely guide Deo was not only very knowledgeable about the wildlife and nature but also eager to find the best spots in the parks for that day, making sure, that we got to see all the “big five” and so much more. We were so happy to book with this business owned by a local Arushan family and would recommend it to anybody at any time.

Dual safari and kilimanjaro excellent experience !
We booked with the company both a trip and assistance to kilimanjaro peak (7 days, most recommended ) and a 6 day trip to safari national parks (serengeti, ngorongoro, lake manyara and tarangirie).
In both of the experiences the guides were amazing, kind and helpful !
In climbing the kilimanjaro I highly recommend thomas and oscar - they were the best !
In safari - i highly recommend albert - a great and safe driver and a walikng encyclopaedia about nature, safari, animals and anyhing in between.
We had a great time and looking forward to coming back next time !

For expert advice and custom itinerary
We looked at multiple well known, large travel companies. Saw reviews on Extraordinary Africa and contacted Alex. Her knowledge of the countries and camps was the most thorough. After we selected Kenya, she guided us through choosing camps based on the wildlife experiences we desired and the type of accommodation we preferred. We went with Tortillis in Amboselli for the giant tuskers, Lewa Safari Camp for the rhinos, and Kicheche in the Masi Mara for big cats. The camps were all excellent. The wildlife experiences exceeded our expectations. Alex also got us into the Elephant Manor in Nairobi when the big companies couldn’t and secured a feeding at the baby elephant orphanage. All the transfers between the camps and drivers in Nairobi were perfect.
Bottom line, Alex put together a tailored custom itinerary at equivalent or superior camps at less cost than the group trips scheduled by the large travel companies. We hope to go to Africa again, and there is no one else we would trust other than Alex
