Most incredible experience - ever!
Just returned home from a 5 day unforgettable Safari experience and can't believe what an amazing time we had. The trip was absolutely incredible and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life as it exceeded every expectation and more. I can't thank Shadows of Africa enough specifically Jake McCormick, Safari Specialist, who helped plan an amazing adventure. Jake was very helpful from the start. He was easy to correspond with, was prompt in response, he pointed out things we overlooked and he made suggestions that he thought were fitting and he constantly updated and emailed detailed descriptions of our trip as we kept amending our itinerary. The best part about Jake was that he never pressured us to do anything as he fully answered all our questions in length and because of his professionalism and knowledge Jake laid the groundwork for an amazing journey so if you are reading this Jake, thank you again for all your help!
While Jake deserves so much credit for handling the logistics and the administrative stuff it was "Dickson" our assigned tour guide who carried out the journey of a lifetime but before meeting Dickson and prior to our arrival I have to admit we were little apprehensive because while everything looked great on paper unfortunately our overall research did reveal a few horror stories such as tourist being denied entry with Visa issues or tour companies ripping off tourist, so, here we were, half way around the world, a few bags in hand, a Tanzania guide book, terrible cell service and all we had was a piece of paper saying we booked a tour with Shadows of Africa and thankfully as promised we were greeted at the airport with a smile and transported to our first destination in Arusha and then the following day we met our tour guide Dickson.
After meeting Dickson we geared up and hit the road. Everything was going as planned. We were very happy. We took lots of pictures along the way and then settled into a 5 hour drive and within an hour we realized that the person driving the vehicle was going to become a very instrumental part of this experience and it turned out we were right. Dickson was a true professional. He's experienced in both game tracking and navigation which is important because you don't want to get lost in the middle of the Serengeti as some guides do. Dickson added his own touch by carefully explaining animals habits and tendencies which was both informative and educational. He was friendly with all the other drivers. All kinds of people took a liking to him which great to see. In the bush, he had a keen eye for spotting Lions and he was always well aware of his surroundings. It was really also great to see that Dickson truly respects the environment and it's habitat and as he is a true conservationist at heart. He's very observant, he's really smart. He takes a lot of pride being from Tanzanian and he really respects when people value and respect his land. Dickson is truly the real deal. Aside from all that the one thing that stands out the most is that Dickson made us feel safe and secure during this adventure because make no mistake a drive to the Serengeti and through the Serengeti is rough, rugged, dirty and raw. The terrain is unforgiving. A true professional is needed. Dickson was a pro. And with that I just want to thank Shadows Of Africa for putting so much responsibility and trust in someone like Dickson as he provided a safe and secure viewing experience. It was the ultimate. Thank you Shadows and thank you Dickson. I just wanna add one last thing, if you're looking for a band new safari vehicle that's air-conditioned and luxury oriented you need not apply but if you're looking for an authentic, vintage, rough around the edges, the real deal experience feel safe to put your faith in Shadows of Africa and request Dickson who's one cool cat.
Passionate, experienced tour operators
Dani and Brandon were extremely hospitable and shared their passion for Kruger with us every day. They tailored the experience to our interests, and every detail was taken care of.

Great Experience at Itanda Falls
It was great experience with my family traveling with lakeside tours and travel the last time I was in Uganda, we visited different national parks including Bwindi impenetrable NP in south western Uganda, where we had encounter with gorillas, Itanda falls in Eastern Uganda, my children were seeing water falls for the first time. Oh it was unforgettable experience. I never knew that my kids were good at traditional dance. I watch their videos over and over. Their office was so wonderful in organizing our trip, our guide Moses was marvelous, we can't wait for another tour with them in the near future.

Outstanding Safari Honeymoon experience
Where to begin? Rose and The Luxury Safari Company planned and executed on the trip of a lifetime for our honeymoon. We had the highest expectations and the trip blew them away. From the boutique hideaway in Cape Town to seeing what we think is a slice of heaven in wine country, it seemed as if every day was better than the last. The safari experience (Molori lodge in Madikwe) was a life experience that we will never forget. We have already started talking about our retrun trip. Take note: it is important to mention that Rose wasn't afraid to tell us "you don't need to do this", or, "do this/not that" and she was 100% right with everything. When we return to Africa, she will be our first email/call in the planning process.
Game drives were great, specially in Masai Mara
My friend and I very much enjoyed our trip which included Kenya and Tanzania. It was a lifetime experience, we witnessed all in our list, except live action (ex chitas chasing after Thomson gazelles ..lol) Both drivers were great, specially Joseph, who was our guide and driver in Masai Mara. Noah , who owns company, was always cooperative and understanding, he will go beyond his boundaries in order to please you. I woul have given 5 stars, unfortunately I couldn't because of first lodge was disappointed, other than that everything else was awesome.

Excellent safari company and amazing overall experience! 100% recommended
We were a group of 4 friends doing a 5-day safari visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. We contacted several agencies when we started organising the trip and Meru Slopes Tours & Safari were the ones providing the best prices and itineraries amongst all. Geofrey (the owner) was very quick responding to emails and very accommodating with all our enquiries, including itinerary changes and dietary requirements. He also arranged for our airport pick-up from Nairobi the day before the safari and drop off at Kilimanjaro airport on the day after we finished the safari, all included in the price. The price also included two nights at Arusha Tourist Inn prior and after the safari; so a very good deal overall. The service throughout, from booking the safari, to arranging pick-ups and solving all queries and issues we had was excellent, very attentive, friendly and helpful.
Geofrey designed the itinerary as per our requirements and just including the parks we wanted to visit; they were very flexible and accommodating, and the overall experience was amazing. We camped one night in a beautiful cabin close to Tarangire National Park, two nights in tents in the middle of Serengeti and another night in a campsite at the top of Ngorongoro Crater. The experience of sleeping surrounded by animals was thrilling and unique! And most importantly, our guide/driver (Hilary) and cook (Godfrey) for our trip were the best ever!! They were very professional, knowledgeable, fun and friendly, so they made the safari even a more enjoyable and unforgettable experience :). So I would recommend 100% to book your safari with Meru Slopes Safari & Tours.
Thank you all for making this trip so incredibly special!

Our trip was interesting, enjoyable and memorable throughout.
Everything concerning our experience with Compass Odyssey was positive, beginning with the months long correspondence with Darren and the planning of our Namibian Safari. All added to happy memories: the choice of places we visited, the variety of lodging accomodations and especially, the always professional, knowledgeable and pleasant Elvis, our Namibian guide.
When we were notified of a family emergency during our trip and the need for us to return home immediately, Elvis was both supportive and efficient in getting us back to Windhoek and our flight home, in the the most timely manner.
Thank you, Compass Odyssey-Darren, Kate and Elvis, for all.

Great 7 days Safari in Uganda!!
We have made the safari for 7 days.
7 woman at the age between 15 to 42. Some told us it were to dangerous to travel only as woman, but we felt all the time very save!
The trip was well organized by Paul and it was very cheap.
Our tour has startet by Kampala, goes to Murchison Falls NP, Kibale NP with chimpanzee tracking, Queen Elizabeth NP and ends by Lake Mburo.
Our tour guide Edward was very friendly and likable. He told us a lot about the country, the traditions and the .
We have seen a lot of lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, chimpanzees and many others.....
The landscape was amazing and we were very surprised to saw the difference between the parks, for example the landscape or the animals.
The native people are all warmheating, friendly and we felt all the time welcomed and save.
Uganda is amazing and you can see a lot of great things and make beautiful experiences.
The tourism is low, so you can enjoy your visit without a lot of tourist, like in other countries.
Thank you very much to Terrain Safaris to show us this amazing country!
