Very good safari and excellent guide Tarangire and Serengeti
From the airport , the guide started telling us about Tanzania.
In Tarangirre, we were lucky enough to see a lot of different animals and also recieved explanations about them.
After visiting a Maasai tribe, a banana plantation, an d the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, where we were invited to participate in singing, dancing and hunting, we continuued towards the Serengeti.
A strenuous hike to the elephant caves and waterfall turned into a wild time, despite the muddy path wich was difficult to navigate, thanks to the pranks our guide pulled while filming.
The Serengeti was unforgettable due to the enormous vastness and the migration of wildebeest and zebra's , and all those different animals found and shown by the guide. On the first day alone, there were so many lions that we thought we wouldn't be as lucky on the second. Again, lions in so many different situations, even a hunting party. Upon departure, the cheetahs were so close to the road; it was amazing!
The lodges and campsite were luxurious, and the food was fine. Thanks in part to the likeable and empathetic guide who not only accompanied us but also to the conversations and lots of laughter, it became a trip we will never forget.

Once in a Lifetime
We are already planning our next trip - that is how unbelievably incredible it was. From getting off the plane we were taken care of by Philomena and Sam. They accommodated our every need and they were especially considerate and wonderful with our 14month old. Philomena, what a gem of a person. We needed help with visas last minute (our parent brain mush just let it slip) she sorted us out in less than 24hours. I landed and needed a hospital for our baby, she called around and found the right place that we needed to go. I had so much guilt about being difficult guests and she just smiled and put me at ease with her kind words! Her efforts for us on a Saturday in the middle of Niarobi, I was blown away and so grateful for her.
For me Kenya was a bucket list destination and man it didn’t disappoint - it was unforgettable and it was down to the people who made it happen. When you are in a car allll day, you really get to know the person guiding you. We got to know Sam and we adore him! His wealth of knowledge and his eagle eyes for spotting animals is incredible. His kindness, banter and ability to be comfortable in silence is our kind of company. He told us at the start of the trip that we would see lion everyday, coming from South Africa and visiting the Kruger my whole life I thought that this was optimistic but Sam was true to his word. Everyday we saw cats, multiple prides in a day. We were only there for 4 days and I saw more in that time than my entire life going to the Kruger - I was blown away. We saw absolutely everything and had magnificent moments where we were the only vehicle sitting with animals. When we return we will go with Sam again. He is truly the BEST! And if you have small children - this man looks out for them as if they are his own. He catered his driving to our little one, stopped whenever we needed too, soothed her when she cried and called her the strongest girl in the world. His patience with her was so endearing and I honestly was so grateful for it.
I could go on but the bottom line is we weren’t there for long enough and we cannot wait to go back. We left a piece of our hearts in Kenya and with all the people we met. Ashe Mara, ashe oleng!

Phenomenal
From the very first interaction, their team stands out for professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine passion for what they do. A special mention goes to Erick from the office, who made the entire planning process seamless. He was incredibly attentive, quick to respond, and went above and beyond to tailor every detail of the trip to our preferences, making everything feel easy and stress free from the start.
What truly elevated the experience was our safari guide, Fadhil. His expertise, sharp eye for wildlife, and deep knowledge of the parks turned every game drive into something extraordinary. He always seemed to know exactly where to go and when, ensuring we had amazing sightings while also taking the time to explain animal behaviour, ecosystems, and local insights. His patience and passion made the experience both exciting and educational.
The logistics were equally impressive comfortable, well-equipped vehicle and carefully selected lodges that enhanced the overall journey. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of Tanzania’s landscapes and wildlife.
Beyond the safari itself, there’s a clear commitment to authentic and responsible tourism, which made the whole experience feel even more meaningful.
In short, Wildebeest Footsteps Adventures offers more than just a safari it’s a carefully crafted, personal journey. With standout service from Erick and exceptional guiding from Fadhil, this is a team I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a truly memorable adventure.

Trip of a lifetime to Kenya
We had the most incredible experience with Imara Africa Safari and truly made memories that will last a lifetime. From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless and stress-free. The team was extremely responsive and accommodating, happily amending even the smallest of details to ensure everything was perfect for us. Before we even arrived, they went above and beyond by assisting with a visa issue, having it sorted for one of us within just 30 minutes, which was absolutely amazing.
Our itinerary was thoughtfully planned and executed with outstanding attention to detail. We visited the Masa Mara, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Diani Beach, with every stop organised flawlessly. We were even met in Nairobi upon arrival, which made everything feel smooth and welcoming from the start. The accommodation, food, and people we encountered throughout the trip were all fantastic, and the entire experience was excellent value for money.
The highlight of our trip, without a doubt, was our driver, Anthony. He was patient, kind, and incredibly generous with his knowledge. He truly made our trip. Anthony is a complete gentleman and a real credit to Imara Africa Safari. We loved spending time with him, both during our game drives and in the evenings getting to know him. He made sure we saw absolutely every animal possible, and many of the unforgettable moments we experienced simply wouldn’t have happened without him. One particularly special touch was when he went off track to show us tea plantations after we mentioned how much we enjoyed Kenyan tea, something as Irish people we were very grateful for! He waited at every point for us to observe the animals in our own time, take photos and never rushed the experience for us. We enjoyed his calm and relaxed nature and it added to our experience.
We cannot recommend Imara Africa Safari highly enough. This was a truly special trip, and we are so grateful for everything they did to make it perfect. We are especially delighted to have made a new friend in Anthony.

Three fascinating weeks of nature and culture
Back from a three-week solo trip through Ethiopia, filled with fantastic memories...
Although planned relatively last minute (just under three weeks from the initial idea to departure), Franziska from Simien Eco Tours managed to perfectly blend nature, culture, and my main requirement of "no stress" into the tour plan. She even accommodated a slight change of plans because the hippos weren't where they were supposed to be...
So, after arriving in Addis Ababa early in the morning, I didn't immediately catch the next flight – even though Addis isn't exactly the place for relaxing. I took a stroll, lazed around a bit, and then, refreshed, traveled to Lalibela the next day. The unforgettable experience of Orthodox Easter, including participating in the age-old ceremonies, wrapped in a white robe, among thousands of worshippers, was probably my most memorable moment.
So, after arriving in Addis Ababa early in the morning, I didn't immediately catch the next flight – even though Addis isn't exactly known for its tranquility. On the journey to the Simien Mountains, the air became noticeably thin (lodge at 3300m) and cool. A morning hike led to a close encounter with a large troop of baboons (my guide: "No problem, you can go slowly closer" - why was the local guide armed again? Oh yes, potential leopards...) and a fantastic view of the mountains.
We continued by car to Lake Tana - an extensive boat trip, just the right prelude for me, a native of Lake Constance, to an impressive visit to one of the many monasteries on the islands.
The strenuous drive to Tis Abaye was more than compensated for by the hike to the Blue Nile Falls. Here, too, it became clear that the common practice in Ethiopia of hiring a local guide at every location makes for interesting stories. Here, too, the guide seemed to know everyone we met and always had a friendly word for us.
The drive through the Great Rift Valley to Hawassa and a hike along the rift rim to the hot springs really brought home just how ancient this land is...
Arba Minch then became my "no-stress" base for several days of interesting excursions on Lake Abaya and to the Dorze and Konso villages. Thanks to the local guides, the experience was relaxed, fun, and full of warmth – and in the afternoons, I enjoyed a few laps in the decadent tourist pool ;) ...
Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, never felt unsafe, and always felt well taken care of. Throughout the entire journey, I had an exceptionally attentive ("you have to drink more!!"), knowledgeable, and friendly guide. Even the significant impact of the Iranian crisis was handled well thanks to the perfect organization by Simien Eco Tours. Even bringing binoculars (think carefully about whether you really want them) was made possible through the patient efforts of Marco at customs and my guide on every single domestic flight.
Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, never felt unsafe, and always felt well looked after. My sincere thanks to the whole team and here's the sixth star "*", because I could only give five.

A tour operator you can trust. Thanks David
David and his crew were attentive to our needs at all times, responding very quickly to our questions and concerns. He handled all our requests promptly and professionally. The safari was excellent, Kenia & Tanzania, and we were lucky to see many animals thanks to the skill of the profesional drivers, who were very good. We stayed in budget camps, where the value for money was fair. If you’re unsure which operator to choose, you can feel confident choosing David
