Where the Wild Meets Wisdom: A Mother’s Tanzanian Safari
As a woman in my forties, I seek journeys that touch the soul. My 8-day Tanzania safari, curated by Ailin, was exactly that—a profound blend of raw nature, human resilience, and thoughtful luxury that redefined the word "safari" for me.
Tarangire: Night Magic
We began our adventure in a robust Land Cruiser, driving into Tarangire. Watching elephants dig for water with their tusks was a lesson in survival. But the real magic happened during our Night Game Drive. As darkness fell, a spotlight revealed the secret life of the savannah—the reflective eyes of nocturnal creatures and the silent tension of predators. It was a visceral reminder that in Africa, life beats as strongly in the dark as in the daylight.
Serengeti: The Endless Plains
Skipping the flight, we drove across diverse ecosystems to the Serengeti. The Land Cruiser’s elevated views turned the long drive into a moving documentary. On the golden plains, we tracked the Great Migration and watched lions lazing under acacia trees. The sheer scale made me feel both insignificant and deeply connected to the earth.
Lake Eyasi: A Moment of Calm
Before the crater, we stayed at a beautiful tented camp near Lake Eyasi. This was "wild luxury" perfected—spacious tents blending into the landscape, offering a serene sanctuary under a canopy of stars. It was the ideal pause to reflect and prepare for a deeply moving encounter.
Karatu: The Classroom Between Heaven and Earth
Departing Eyasi, we stopped near Karatu. Ailin arranged a visit to a local Maasai Primary School. Stepping out, I was struck by a scene reminiscent of Liu Cixin’s The Rural Teacher. In the shadow of the Rift Valley, with wild sounds echoing, stood a humble classroom. Watching the children recite lessons with bright eyes, I saw humanity’s refusal to be defeated by circumstance. Education here is the true bridge between the ancient world and the future. This was the emotional heart of my journey.
Ngorongoro: Boaz’s Eagle Eye
Ascending the rim, we descended into the Ngorongoro Crater. Here, our guide Boaz proved invaluable. Navigating the crowded crater floor with a chess master’s calm, he used his decades of instinct to spot the endangered Black Rhino. While others milled aimlessly, we enjoyed a clear, breathtaking view of this prehistoric giant. Boaz didn’t just drive; he interpreted the landscape, turning a game drive into a deep ecological lesson.
Reflection
This journey, woven by Ailin’s impeccable planning and Boaz’s expertise, gave me more than photos. It gave me a story of the wild, the wise, and the enduring spirit of Tanzania. For a soulful safari, I wholeheartedly recommend asking for Ailin and Boaz.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by LEI NI
Title: A Prehistoric Arena and Boaz’s Eagle Eye
Descending into the Ngorongoro Crater is like stepping into a prehistoric amphitheater. The concentration of wildlife here is staggering, but the true highlight was witnessing Boaz's exceptional guiding skills. Spotting the endangered Black Rhino is the ultimate challenge in the crater’s thick mist and vegetation, yet Boaz navigated the chaos with the calm precision of a chess master. While other vehicles circled aimlessly, he utilized his decades of instinct to position our Land Cruiser perfectly, granting us a breathtaking, clear view of this ancient giant. Beyond the rhinos, the crater floor is a vibrant tapestry of life—from flamingos painting the soda lakes pink to the powerful bull elephants. Boaz didn't just drive; he interpreted the ecosystem, transforming a game drive into a masterclass on ecology. This day was the pinnacle of our safari, proving that a great guide is worth their weight in gold.

Review about Tarangire National Park by LEI NI
Title: Baobabs, Elephants, and the Secrets of the Night
Tarangire is a park of haunting beauty, famous for its ancient baobabs and massive elephant herds. Watching these gentle giants dig for underground water with their tusks was a masterclass in survival that moved me deeply. However, the park revealed its true magic during our Night Game Drive. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the bush transformed. With only a spotlight piercing the inky blackness, we witnessed the secret life of the savannah—the reflective eyes of nocturnal creatures and the silent tension of predators on the prowl. It was a visceral reminder that in Africa, the pulse of life beats just as strongly in the dark as it does in the daylight. This experience, combined with the park's raw, uncrowded atmosphere, made Tarangire feel like a private cathedral of nature—a perfect beginning to our Tanzanian adventure.

Professional, knowledgeable and fun
Great experience with MoAfrika Tours. Communication was quick and clear, everything ran on time, and the service was friendly and professional. The tour was well organised, enjoyable, and excellent value for money.
Martin the tour guide was very knowledgeable, gave us insights into the many animals we saw and when a lioness was spotted, made sure via a fun and bumpy drive that we got to see her.
Sibu our driver who collected us in Joburg provided a fun and varied commentary on the way to the Pilanesberg and turned us into a group rather than just a bunch of individuals. I felt well looked after throughout and would happily recommend them to others visiting South Africa.

Our honeymoon in Tanzania and Zanzibar exceeded every expectation, and we owe so much of that incredible experience to Genius Kilimanjaro. From the moment we arrived until the very end of our trip, everything was flawlessly organized, including accommodation, transportation, Kilimanjaro trekking, the Serval Wildlife experience, waterfall adventures, and coffee farm visits.

His passion for creating unforgettable experiences is evident, and he genuinely cares about his guests and their satisfaction.
Our biggest goal was reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, and Patrick’s team played a huge role in making that dream a reality. The guides, porters, and support staff were exceptional—professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and incredibly attentive. Their motivation, expertise, and unwavering support helped us push through the challenging moments and successfully stand on the Roof of Africa. We could not have done it without them.

Amazing experience!
We had a wonderful safari experience in Tanzania and would happily recommend this company to anyone planning a trip.
A huge part of what made the trip so special was our guide, Norton. His experience and wildlife-spotting skills were truly impressive—he seemed able to spot animals from miles away. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing rhinos in Ngorongoro Crater five different times, largely because he could identify them long before anyone else. On one occasion, he noticed a rhino approaching a road crossing and quickly repositioned the vehicle so we could enjoy an incredible close-up sighting. He was also very attentive throughout the trip, often stopping whenever he noticed something we might enjoy, whether birds, mammals, or even insects. We never felt rushed and really appreciated his effort to tailor the experience to our interests.
The company itself was also a pleasure to work with. Before booking, our sales consultant Grace was extremely responsive and communication was smooth throughout. The team helped design an itinerary that fit both our interests and budget. We also appreciated that the owner personally greeted us before and after the safari and genuinely welcomed feedback, which made us feel valued.
We were very happy with the accommodations overall, especially Tarangire Sopa Lodge, Ndutu Classic View Migration Camp, Tukaone Serengeti Camp, and Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. All were comfortable and well-run. Summit Lodge in Arusha was the least strong, but it was only a one-night transit stop so it didn’t affect the trip.
To provide balanced feedback, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. First, the charging ports in the vehicle were not working consistently, so we relied on our own power banks. Second, there was one day that ended earlier than expected due to a misunderstanding. We would encourage future travelers to clearly communicate their priorities with their guide at the start of each day—things like timing, daily schedule, and wildlife goals. Some may want to simply check off animals, while others may hope to maximize chances of seeing special moments like hunts or predator activity at dawn or sunset. Even if such sightings are never guaranteed, sharing expectations helps guides keep them in mind and makes the experience even better. Clear communication goes a long way.
Overall, this was an excellent experience. We saw incredible wildlife, stayed in great lodges and camps, and felt well taken care of throughout. Thank you to Norton, Grace, and the entire team for unforgettable memories.

A thrilling adventure!
Safari Soles was a great choice for our safari. Our trip designer Lennox was communicative and adaptive to our specific trip needs. He arranged for an unexpected upgrade at one our lodge stays, and it was luxurious and amazing! We loved our driver Alvin. He was passionate about animals and about our comfort and safety. We saw a cheetah hunting and catching a gazelle, a lion pride hunting and another one feasting on a buffalo, and we even saw an elusive leopard! We saw the Big 5 including black rhinos. We are very satisfied with our trip and will continue to think about it for years to come.

Excellent communication, expert guide and an unforgettable safari
We had an excellent experience with Splendid Vacations on our 2-day safari in Kenya. The tour was very well organised from start to finish, and communication before and during the trip was prompt, clear and reliable.
Our guide, Rono, was outstanding. He had exceptional knowledge of the area, wildlife and local conditions, and was always willing to accommodate our requests to maximise what we could see during our stay. Thanks to Rono's expertise, we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five in a single day, which exceeded our expectations.
I would highly recommend Splendid Vacations to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

Perfect 3 week trip to Africa at a competitive price
I used Go Extra Miles to plan our African holiday to South Africa, Victoria Falls, and Tanzania. They did an outstanding job coordinating all of the lodging, guides, and transportation for our trip. We were a group of 4 and had luxury to mid-range accommodations and private guides for every part of the trip. Abdallah was our point-of-contact and he did and excellent job. He had great communication skills and was very responsive to any questions that we had. When problems/issues occurred with our itinerary, he gave us a complete explanation of the situation along with options to resolve the issue. Their proposal was very thorough and gave a day-by-day description of our 20-day trip. After several iterations, the Go Extra Miles itinerary was exactly what we wanted and the value for the money was exceptional.
The trip was fantastic and everything went as planned with no problems. Abdallah communicated with us during the trip and provided contact information in the event we had any problems during the trip. We could not have been happier with the service and quality of the trip we got from Go Extra Miles and I highly recommend them if you are planning a trip to Africa.

Was a much better trip than expected
The safari with wagatil was much better than expected, the lodges were top notch, the food was great all the way through, saw so so many animals on the various treks, got so close to the gorillas, (steep difficult 3-4 hour hike up rough terrain at high altitude to see the mountain gorillas) Martin the driver guide was fantastic, has extensive knowledge about animals, regions etc, managed to find leopards in Queen Elizabeth park, no other groups saw leopards that day, real nice Toyota Land Cruiser, also Pretty the manager at the office was great, even stopped off at their office to meet her, this trip was much better than expected and a dream come true seeing the gorillas up so close. A big thank you to all at wagatil .
