Small Wonderful Travel Company in the North Tanzania
Small and authentic tour operator based in the Northen Tanzania. The journey, with them, was unforgettable. Miranda and Roko are so nice, nice people! They provided assistance before and during all my stay in Tanzania. I visited different areas and I stayed safe in contact with nature and animals, campings booked were fine and the food was plentiful and tasty . I also discovered uncrowded and peaceful areas thanks to them. During the trip We had some problems with the cars due to bad roads conditions , they solved them very fast. It can happen, you are in Tanzania! I highly reccomend this small company if you are looking something different and special.

One in a lifetime safari
We had a wonderful experience with Telly Africa Safaris. We booked with them a 4 day safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire and we had a great time. Everything was carried out according to schedule and as we had agreed in advance. Special thanks to Happy Mukas, who organized our safari seamlessly and was always available for any changes and modifications we made during the preparation. Special thanks to our driver Tomsifu who knows where exactly to go, when we should wait for animal and thanks to whom we were able to see so many animals. In conclusion, we are very happy that we chose Telly Africa Safaris for our adventure in Tanzania and when we return we will hire them again.

Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable
Wow, our safari experience was absolutely incredible! My husband and I went for our honeymoon, and we were already super excited about the trip. But guess what? It was even better than we imagined!
First of all, everyone we met in mainland was incredibly friendly and helpful. Joshua picked us up from the airport, and our guide, Andrew, was just amazing! He was the best! So much so that other guides would tell us we were with the legend or even ask to follow us because they didn’t know their way as well as Andrew.
Andrew’s expertise and knowledge were truly impressive. He knew exactly where to look, and with a little bit of luck, we even spotted the big five! We saw lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and 3 RHINOS! And there were so many other amazing animals too, like wildebeest, zebras, pumbas, beautiful cheetahs, giraffes, and more.
Andrew was also incredibly knowledgeable and would take the time to answer any questions we had. He explained everything and why things were a certain way or why animals did certain things. For example, I learned that cats use their whiskers to sense whether their prey has died before starting eating.
The lodges we stayed in at the Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro were also great. Our tented camps were especially close to nature and had delicious food. We could hear hyenas, buffalos, and lions nearby, which was so cool.
We also decided to camp for one night at the Tarangire, and the company arranged everything for us. We had our own private chef, and he made all our meals, which were delicious!
This was our first time doing a safari, and it was an experience that changed our brain chemistry. We went to Zanzibar after the safari, and for the first time ever, we were sad to go to a beach. Not only was this a bucket list experience, but it turned out to be an amazing, truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Imagine, we came in January and we got to see thousands of Wildebeest and Zebras moving south to the Serengeti— that was simply the most beautiful thing to see.
Oh, and before I forget, Wakanda was also fantastic! After researching multiple companies and chatting with them, we chose Wakanda because we had the pleasure of speaking with Good Luck, who was incredibly friendly, approachable, and worked with us to make our dream trip a reality.
Therefore, if you are decided whether to book with Wakanda or not, I would HIGHLY suggest you do (and ask for Andrew to be your guide). Although this trip is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, we surely hope we come back in a few years.

Serengeti Wakanda and Andrew are the best of the best
If you don’t book your safari with Serengeti Wakanda, you are making a mistake. We knew any company could take us to the parks and show us the animals, but when it came to deciding which company, we picked Wakanda because of how good the service was from just our initial email. Goodluck was our first point of contact and he answered anything and everything with a lot of thought and detail. He helped us plan our 8 day Honeymoon trip around the different parks and visit to the nearby tribes, and at the end of it all, we can easily say everything was exceptional. The great customer service didn’t end with Goodluck. Our first night we did tented camping, Wakanda provided our own private chef to cook us dinner, breakfast, and prepared lunch at the campsite. This was completely unexpected and felt very personalized to our trip. Then we came to learn that each and every one of our lunches were a hot meal prepared by the lodges you book, while most other companies provide meal boxes with sandwiches. The company also notified each lodge we stayed at that it was our honeymoon, and we were sang to and given gifts from the lodges as a congratulations. This company definetly goes out of their way to make your trip as best as it can be.
Additionally, our trip would not have been as amazing as it was if it wasn’t for our tour guide Andrew. On top of being a kind person with a great personality, he knew everything there had to do with all the parks and animals. He told us you could drop him anywhere in the Serengeti and within five minutes he’d know where he was, and I 100% believe him. During our trip he would have colleagues radio to him who got lost and asked for guidance. When our jeep found a leopard, he was able to pinpoint the location to others. When it came to one of our last game drives, two guides decided to follow us to a far part of the park because Andrew knew it had better chances to see the big cats, and on our way we found a cheetah eating its catch and then a pride of lions with cubs. No company should ever guarantee you to see all the animals because of how unpredictable it can be, but with Wakanda and Andrew, you will have an amazing time with the best chance to see everything you wanted to see.

THE BEST
Going on a safari in Tanzania was one of the best experiences of my life, and I highly recommend that everyone experiences it at least once.
I chose a camping safari because I wanted to spend as much time as possible in as many parks as possible, and also have the opportunity to camp inside the parks themselves, which makes the experience even more intense and authentic.
I travelled solo, and Tolio placed me in an absolutely fantastic group, made up of a family and another traveller. Our guide, Francis, was outstanding, as was the cook who travelled with us. We always had hot and delicious meals, even in the middle of the safari.
I truly believe that the people make the safari, and this was very evident during this experience. The guide explained everything about the animals, shared stories about the local culture, and showed great respect for the animals and for other guides — all with great professionalism. Throughout the safari, the atmosphere was always light, positive and joyful.
We brought biscuits for the journey and, over the course of five days, we became a real family. We sat together at the table to talk, sing, share stories and then rest. It was a beautiful and genuine sense of togetherness. We made a point of always having the guide and the cook sitting at the table with us.
Regarding the campsites:
The Serengeti campsite could benefit from better bathroom facilities, and each vehicle could have some washing basins to help with dishwashing.
The Ngorongoro campsite was very good, with excellent bathroom facilities. I especially loved the fireplace and the social atmosphere in the common area.
The hardest moment was when the safari ended. We didn’t want to separate or stop doing safari. I was truly happy during those days.
When I chose this safari, Tolio sent me a very detailed program, which helped align expectations. During the trip, we were also surprised with one night in a lodge, which made the experience even more special 😊
I met many travellers who were frustrated with safaris booked through other companies that did not deliver what was promised, which made me appreciate this choice even more.
My main recommendations are:
choose carefully what type of safari you want and which parks you want to visit
clearly define the type of accommodation you want (camping, lodge, or mixed)
read carefully the detailed program provided by the company
be flexible — not everything is guaranteed in nature. The migration, for example, does not happen when we want it to. Animals don’t wait for us.
I highly recommend a camping safari, whether you are travelling solo, with friends, as a couple or with family.
Tolio was impeccable — the entire support team helped greatly with logistics, organised transfers to the accommodation, and were always kind and available.
