Fantastic experience and excellent organization
Communication was efficient but there were a few small bloomers on the way (mixing up Kruger with Madikwe).
Service was excellent, we were picked up at the airport on time, traveled on a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus with a friendly driver who gave us a guided tour. We were excited when we entered the Park as our driver pointed out the impala, giraffes and zebras. The accommodation was wonderful and we received a warm welcome from the owners of Bush Lodge and the rangers. The garden there is beautiful and the water-hole and hide at the bottom of the garden were the icing on the cake. Elephants, lions, impala, zebra, giraffes,waterhogs, rhinos came daily to enjoy the water, as though for our benefit. The ranger-guided tours were exciting and it was great to see cooperation among the rangers in tracking and locating the big 5. Seeing the big 5 at close quarters was nerve-tingling but amazing as the animals either didn't move (lionesses) or just walked by the jeep without paying us any attention (elephant and lions). A bonus was the dramatic starlit nights. Seeing southern hemisphere stars and constellations clearly for the first time, with the expert guidance of our ranger, was particularly exciting for me from the Northern hemisphere. On our last night, we were entertained with traditional local singing and dancing by the Lodge staff. All in all, a fabulous 3 days, highly recommended.

Fast and fabulous
Last minute is an understatement of our trip. Monday night we decided to travel to Tanzania, Wednesday night we arrived at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Makasa managed to organize a fantastic trip within this short timeframe. Excellent service, very quick communication and a perfect itinerary. Because of our fast decision, the whole trip was a big surprise to us, but it met all our expectations. Accommodations were superb! One day we woke up close to Tarangire National Park with a fantastic view of zebras, warthogs and wildebeests roaming the landscape between our terrace and the hills at the horizon. The next day we slept in the middle of Serengeti, surrounded by hyenas and lions, roaring in the night. In Ngorongoro Conservation Area we spotted 2 rhinos, which completed our big 5 checklist. We have seen so many animals! Before and after the safari we took some time to relax and to visit some local villages. Despite their poverty, Tanzanian people are very friendly and we loved their hospitality. We hope to be back soon!

I love it !!
An a mazing maasai mara lake nakuru safari And exelent customer service and great value for money. They are very good in transfering and services in the masai mara like camps ,foods,good guider,good poeple in the camp,safety and good cars and etc.
I was relax in the camp and just think to wild animals and nothing else. Every problems solved with them.
I will suggest Pumba expedition service and tours to everybody and i hope to travel again to kenya with my family with kindly Pumba.

Utstanding good service and quality from booking to trip with skillfull tourguides in good vehicle
Great Horizon Trail (GHT) is offer a wide range of services when comming to safaris and roundtrips. I have had the pleasure and privilege to do a lot of safaris for a long number of years all over Kenya and Tanzania to see and experience most of the gamereserve. Previouse gamedrive just a few months ago, Dec 2014.
Never have GHT fail in giving me what I had expected, most of the time it is even beyond the higest expetations of mine.
If in any case some problem has occured it is always taken care of and fixed to full satisfaction.
It is to have in mind that safaris in the wilderness is something that can never be predicted what to find or what to face, but with the welleducated and serviceminded guides that are provided by GHT You are always sure of if there is something to be find You will certainly find it.
Above this the GHT are also able to do booking for hotel all over East Africa, and all is up to Your own subject of what You want to have, from budget to firstclass standard.
The only thing You can never get on a budgetstandard is the experience of the safaris, even living in budget lodges, the safari trip in it self is always the fistclass standard, all in the utmost care of the skill guide in well maintaind vehicle. For me I am already looking foward for my next safari with Great Horizon Trail.

We canceled and never got our refund

I have changed my rating for EASTCO company because they have refunded our money after 6 month. According to the EASTCO agent it was because of some financial problems that happened with the ebola fright.
I am not sure if its a sufficient excuse but at the end of the day they have refunded our money so i am satisfied.

I would like to share the reason why my wife and I rate EASTCO poorly. My Wife and I planed a safari tour for February which is something that we dreamed of doing for some time. We choose booking the safari with EASTCO because we read that they are a small family company and believed that they cared about there customers. We where in contact with Simon that seemed friendly in the mails. In the middle of December we found out that we couldn't take the vacation and asked Simon to cancel the Safari. He was very understanding and told us that we will get the refund according to the contract. After a week he replied to our refund request with that he will refund us after new year. And again after new year we did not get the refund and each time we asked him he came up with a different excuse (he was in the bushes, the internet crashed .. and more). Today i came to an understanding that we probably will never get refunded. I am sharing this experience so people will know that we do not recommend EASTCO and I personally do not trust them to take care of my family and me on a safari. And if you do choose to go with them to a safari then do not pay in advance.

Great service, very informative and surpassed our expectations!
We selected Campofrio Safaris to organise our group of four’s, two week trip to Kenya and Tanzania as they were flexible with the itinerary, affordable, offered thorough information, were prompt with their responding emails and were members of the Kenya Association of Tour Operators. Plus they had an easy to navigate and informative website.
Campofrio organised our car with driver/guide and our accommodation for the trip. We had a comfortable 12 seater van with a raiseable roof for animal viewing. We were each provided with a folder with maps, a detailed itinerary, suggestions and other general information.
We were met at the airport by Oliver, the General Manager, Lawrence the tour director and Benson our guide/driver. Our driver/guide Benson was pleasant company, extremely knowledgeable, obviously respected by other safari drivers as they often consulted or deferred to him and a very cautious driver. He also wrapped our luggage with blankets to prevent the dust getting in.
We travelled from Nairobi to Lake Nakaru where we stayed at the fantastic Flamingo Hill Camp Site after doing a late afternoon safari. It was extremely comfortable and had the best restaurant. We next travelled to the Masai Mara Reserve where we stayed two nights at the Sopa Lodge. We arrived in time to do an afternoon safari and did a full day safari the next day. An early morning start the next day took us through the Mara Reserve on our way to the Tanzanian border at Isebaana where Campofrio organised the 2nd leg of our journey with Leopard Tours. We spent the next 2 nights in the Serengeti, then onto the Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire before flying to Zanzibar for our final 3 days.
Consequently, I would recommend Campofrio to anyone wishing to undertake their travels to Kenya due to their flexibility and professionalism and for organising a trip that surpassed our expectations.

I am back after my 5th safari for what was the 3rd photo workshop organized with this wonderful team
A stay of two unforgettable weeks ... a week in the Maasai Mara, two days in Nakuru and Baringo 4 days photographing everything we had hoped to see: Cheetahs, lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceros and fish eagles .
Our guides have been incredibly knowledgeable! They shared their skills, availability, generosity and flexibility not to mention a constant good humor!
Our chef James did wonders with his little dishes to perfection!
The was organization flawless as always.
In short, a dream holiday for this trip 150% photograph which we keep again wonderful memories!
We would like to thank their team for organizing the visit to the Orphanage that allowed us to offload 100kgs of school materials, We will never forget our encounters with these children who in the end gave us their smiles and much more than “thank you” Thank you to all the Team at Africa Remote Safaris. Kenya is Safe, not for one minute did we feel discomfort(except for the bumpy ride) . We hope to come back. This time with bigger group.

I travelled to Tanzania early March... wanted to get to see the beautiful and breath taking Mount Kilimanjaro, The roof of Africa and I must say I enjoyed Chance's company while I was in Moshi, Tanzania. He tried his best to give me the information I required and I would definitely recommend his services!

A Taste of South Africa
My wife, adult daughter and I have just completed a private 5 day garden tour with Craig. We only had limited time to see and do as much as we could in South Africa and Craig achieved this for us. While the tour was structured we had the flexibility to add and subtract to better tailor our trip to cater for our personal interests and tastes day to day, making the whole experience so fantastic. Some of the things we saw and did would not have been achieveable on a larger bus tour and we would probably have missed if we had taken a self drive option. Craig is passionate about his country in all respects, has great knowledge of its history, flora and fauna and wants to share his enthusiasm with you. A very likeable and responsible guide that really made our trip something special. Best memories....Storm River, Catching a wave at Natures Way, geology throughout the trip, exploring little towns and Victoria beach near George. I would definitely use Craig's services again.

Three safaris in one trip
Our adventure started February 24 and went to March 17, 2015. We visited the following locations; Nairobi, Arusha, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Lake Manyara, Serengeti Nat'l Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire Nat'l Park, Cape Town, Greater Kruger Nat'l Park, Victoria Falls, and Johannesburg. This entire trip provided 25,000 miles of air travel, which includes about 5,000 miles within the African Continent. Considering all the above locations, and the pickup and drop off at each airport, never was there not someone to greet us. This made this trip truly a "Trip of a Lifetime." As for the safaris we did see the "Big 5" and many many more animals and birds. Great Job Great Safaris.
